Lots of lovely Royal Enfield photos today and I was thrilled to see Silver Spectre as the thumbnail👍👍. I have to say though, that I bought that bike second hand in stock condition with only 700kms on it. everything you see, I DID do to it, including the Diablo pipes, shocks, LED lights, touring seat etc. The more I ride my Interceptors, the more I am convinced that they have all the power that I need for public roads. I can ride hard and probably never exceed 130km/hr/80mph, which feels fast on a naked bike, but is not too outrageous in the grand scheme of things 😁.
Morning TAYM, haha , nice mutter , that Interceptor paint job was excellent, you know you need another vertical twin in the garage to represent the Enfield corner eh? 😉 😁 Have a good week, Cheers Mel 🍻
That Interceptor looked lovely and looks even more like a Norton Commando in that great paint job. Just the bike for you….i think. Perhaps Mrs TAYM would get it for you ….valentines gift!…😉
Good morning Mr TAYM. As I watch our thermometer living below -5 with patches of ice here and there and salt residue like white dust all around, I am glad my RE Classic 500 is warmly and safely parked in our living room. I doubt that Ricochet has any idea how lucky she is compared to most other bikes here in Canada many of which age quickly outside under a plastic sheet if they are lucky. Both Ricochet and I are very lucky to have Mrs Fielder allowing inside. So as winter drags on, I ride vicariously with you on little lanes and roads we do not have here. The only thing that is green here is me … green with envy as you talk of daffodils poking up and look at snow banks. I can really feel sorry for myself sometimes. Thanks Mr TAYM for the rides. Say an extra Hello yo Giraffe for me please!
Hi Taym, so I said a couple of days ago that I had test ridden the T Speed 400 at York. I forgot to mention that it's to replace my BSA 650 Gold Star thaf i sold on a couple of weeks ago. The Star is 5hp up on the Speed, but it's significantly heavier than the speed. In a straight line I think they would be very equal. Both equally as much fun as each other I think, but Tri Speed is by far a superior build quality. It just looks the better machine for quality of materials and finish. I miss my Srar, but looking forward to many miles this summer on a Speed 400. Great mutter, by the way.
That’s brilliant 😁 two fantastic bikes but the Triumph does have the backing of reliable servicing and dealer network 😁 I know the scrambler is the most popular but I thought the speed was the better of the two 😁 thanks G 😁
I’m sure I commented on this yesterday but I can’t seem to find it? Anyway thanks for showing my photos Mr TAYM 😊 You are indeed correct the Bertie look alike is for sale. It has a Hitchcocks 535 kit and performance valves and springs if anyone is interested. I always enjoy your mutters 😅😊🎉
Morning Mr TAYM. I have been struck by the lurgy, felt awful for over a week now, shivery, aching all over, and a damn headache that just won’t go away 🤨. Cheeky Steven has also invited me to ride the souped up Classic, which I am looking forward to doing. I don’t think an Interceptor with polished casings would do as a winter bike for you, it would be a pain to keep those casings looking good (I know from experience), but maybe a blacked engine would be ok, but really don’t like the black exhausts. Anyway great mutter, I am off to take more cough medicine 🤒.
I hope you are feeling better soon! I’m thinking the best way to show off how the tuning works on the Classic 350 is to share the fun and let certain trusted people have a go!
That is a good point about the Interceptor's unsealed aluminium engine casings Ian. It works well in Thailand where there is no winter or road salt, but it would not make a good winter bike in the UK.
Classic cliffhanger to end on TAYM that's got me wondering 😉super pic's have to say that black Interceptor was pretty special looking and the silver one luved the pipes on that too it is a good looking classic for sure what colour would you have I wonder ?. Nice one TAYM cheers👌👍
Morning TAYM that black Interceptor looked very nice, very much looking like a Norton Commando I thought. I don't know about the Triumph 400 debate over the Interceptor and the BSA I think they are very different bikes aimed at different riders and yes in term of outright acceleration I don't think there's any question the 650 RE or BSA are going to be faster but that doesn't mean much in the real world and on a twisty road I think the lightness of the Triumph is going to mean a much closer match. In the words of the late great Colin Chapman "Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere"
Great mutter to kickoff the week TAYM! I came to the same conclusion, had a deposit on a 400X but there are some screaming deals on bigger bikes right now, As you you said, there's no replacement for displacement so I went with a new 2021 Moto Guzzi V9 for $8600 US. I've also seen new 2021 V7 Specials for $6900 plus brand new 2022 Interceptors and Continental GTs for $4900! Sadly no BSA 650s in the states yet as one of those would have been seriously considered.
Great Mutter Mr TAYM! Lovely bikes again. The Interceptors are kinda calling to me as well since the 650 Classic or Bullets are a pipe dream right now. If you make T-shirts I’ll buy a couple!
Hi TAYM. Another great mutter. I spotted a giraffe in school grounds next to the canal path in Salem. Took a snap but I don't know how to get it to you. Email? I don't do the others. Stay safe. Ade
Ooooh TAYM going all secret squirrel on us! 😱😱😱 I got out on Beryl the Classic 350 yesterday, I even managed to persuade the GF to hop on the back albeit with a bribe of coffee and cake at the halfway point!
@@TAYMI'm sure we don't need a service as an excuse to get a ride out your way... We actually talked (on Sunday) about doing the Norfolk/Suffolk coast road ride again from Kings Lynn to the Orwell bridge and then home to Essex via Sudbury in a few weeks time.
A late watch monday mutter, the net at work suddenly stopped in the morning .. It was like the apocalypse was coming .. The Mash is very very cute peppy bike .. New mirrors, complete exhaust system and new turn signals are already ordered. I will make some pics after.
l can sense a new bike coming soon, but which one and will you have to sell to make room. l have finally made my choice and purchased a T120 Black and loving it 👍
A marvellous mutter yet again Mr TAYM with lots of lovely bikes to ogle, speaking of which during my break I also had a peak at Mrs TAYM doing the mucking out and getting a wiggle on 😯😉 I think I've fathomed out your secret bike, a video of its arrival at a Glasgow dealers popped in my feed today. As yet there's been no review videos but I suspect they'll be coming in the next few days. I'm brim full of giggles over an upgraded Biggles 🤔😮😎😂
@@TAYM I'm not suggesting you got yourself a new bike, I'm guessing what you've ridden that has to be kept under wraps untill official sources say otherwise 🤔
If a new bike is coming I would hope it's a BSA. I was really impressed when I rode one and they can be easily fettled to look even better ... plus many bargain ones around ( especially near you😉) Great mutter 👍
GBD Silver Spectre Interceptor used on your title screen has the old school big bore curved pipes looks marvelous. That black Interceptor with the Norton style gold pin striping looks SPLENDIFEROUS.
