Struggling from spiritual abuse last 25 years, this is hell on earth
I am diagnosed with PTSD, depression, anxiety... you are right: Its like you can´t go back in place of safety, I have nightmares, its horrible sometimes
cult like thinking, outside of the group you are programmed to feel lost, totally lost, man on the top have too much control over lives of people, young people are especially target, I was only 19 when I was joining that word of faith "church"/cult
I know a lady who is almost 70 years old and she never started a family. The church had a doctrine that says no one dates or choose who he or she wants to marry. The members must submit to the will of the Lord through a prophesy of who God wants them to marry. So prophecy pairs people whether or not they are in love with each other or not. This lady had to give up her dream of becoming a mom because no prophecy came for her, so she concluded God wanted her to live celibate even though she yearned for a family. She had found someone to date one point and she was told she had no ambition and must submit and wait on the Lord. Nothing materialised. She is still with the church. Is this trauma? How would you view this?

Oh man, I needed this today. In working to resolve trauma in myself and my children, its been so frustrating dealing with the physical symptoms because most people don't understand

This book should be translated in Croatian language
My son is a worship pastor and has a young mom as a part time assistant. He really values her partnership with him. Yes, she does get to say things, read scripture, and pray. Yes some weeks she is the lead while he is in another service or needs to fill in on a certain instrument. Again so sorry you experienced what you did in your church. No she is not evaluated after she leads unless my son needs to build her up for what he is looking for in the future. He has done this with other male leaders as well.

It looks that she left christianity but she isn’t suggesting that as a solution for others
So hard to balance when you are in the storm but her experience and expertise can shed some light in the process …
