- Additional notes (FAQ):
- CSGO SDK is only available for the paid version of CSGO Prime (as far as i can tell...)
- if .tga isn't available in "save as" in Photoshop you may need to enable legacy save options in the file settings
- if you want to remove the wear effect off your sticker in the CSGO SDK sticker preview set "wearprogress" to 0 in the material settings
- The easiest way I've found to hide the "sticker preview" text and ugly frame in CSGO SDK is to set the background color to black (if someone has a better way let me know)
- VTF edit download can be found at developer.valvesoftware.com/w...
- if you open the .vmt file in CSGO SDK and the preview is blank, there is most likely an issue with the linked .vtf files (re-open the .vmt file in note pad to be sure)

Thank you so much, this was a great video with easy instructions to follow! The normal map for the foil was a bit harder to do, but I found out that you can make them in GIMP photo editor or even generate one just online pretty easily to use if you have older Photoshop without the generate filter option! After figuring that out and thanks to your helpful video, I was able to turn my design into a nice set of stickers to submit for the CSGO10 sticker contest!

Cheap tip if you do not have photoshop for the normal map:
You can basically paint with the colors used to mimic the 3D effect yourself, just find a normal map "palette" and have fun with it. It can look a bit cheap but if you're skilled enough you can achieve what you need. It's not the best but it's an interesting alternative.
(I did that for all my foils back then)

Everything goes well but the problem is I am facing lines on holo and paper, its when you preview in hammer and also in game inspect. Its important to fix those lines because when I record/ gif/ take image it shows lines that can be negative thing. Please reply if any one knows it. Thanks in advance ^^

Dude, it's been a long time, but I want to ask you something. How did you design this sticker? I mean, how did you draw it on the computer? I was able to draw the sticker design in my mind only in pencil in a notebook.But I don't know how to draw on a computer.If you can help I would appreciate.

Hi guys, I have a problem. when I try to upload my VMT file, The files dont appear no one file. I tried restart the pc and change VMT file on differents locations
is anyone still here? I made 2 sticker concepts, 1 paper, 1 holo, the paper is very good, but the holo is scraped off when I inspect in the sdk, does anyone know why? when i decrease wearprogress in sdk it gets better, but that means normal is scraped, right? does anyone know how to solve?

when i open model and open sticker preview i get nothing, blank screen. I dont even see the stock sticker. HELP!
the sticker was on its side not showing anything, i figured it was displaying when i clicked on the blanked area and dragged the mouse. however things must have changed the parameters in csgo blogs are different now. When i Try to load the custom VMT i get an error saying it failed to open.

I think you need prime status and also have tools enabled in your steam library

HELP NEEDED:
I'm trying to create a sticker for CSGO. When I open the Model Viewer and go to File -> Load Model and choose the sticker_preview.mdl I get an error (Attached) that simply says "Error loading the model".
It seems to me that the tool is unable to load any mdl file at all, giving the same error popup. Any ideas?
Found the issue: Unlike what the video says, the SDK is NOT for free. Here's what needs to be done:
You need the Counter-Strike:Global Offensive SDK tool, not the SourceSDK one.
Now the problem is that this tool is NOT available if you have the Free to Play version of CSGO. So what you need to do is to:
1. Look for the Counter-Strike:Global Offensive (Free to Play version) in Steam
2. Click on it
3. Go down until you find "Buy CS:GO Prime Status Upgrade" and buy that
Please note that even if you have a Prime status that you got while playing this does NOT qualify you to use the SDK. The SDK is NOT for free (For some weird reason).
