Quite a lot of people comment on the ‘awkward’ magazines of the MP5, but if you spend some time using it and practicing your reloads you soon become proficient in your technique.
Why do they make these mp5s with no HK slap recommended ?obviously people who are going to buy these will want to do it. So why don't they design them for you to be able to do that?
I can't comment on what's in the Manufacturer's minds, but I can theorize... It's probably a cost thing, to build that able to HK Slap it would involve increasing the strength of not only of the bolt handle, but all the parts around it which would probably include all of the front end. This would increase the costs not only of the base materials, but would increase the manufacturing & machining costs (generally stronger materials are a lot harder to work!). As with most Airsoft Guns they're built plenty strong enough for what they're designed to do, but that doesn't include the slap! If GBLS ever bring out a MP5 I reckon you'll be able to slap that one around... Probably... Regards, The Surplus Store Team.
@@surplusstore Yes I think you are right. After thinking about it it would significantly drive up the cost of the gun.Having said that I have found only one version since, endorsed and collaborated by HK that is designed for it.All of the bolt handle surroundings are made of metal. This particular version retails at around £350. Thanks for your comment. Also there is an electric blowback version that retails for £169 that I would like to buy but only one site seems to sell it and they are out of stock do you have any idea as to where I could buy it? thanks .One more question is why do Airsoft sites all seem to be perminatley out of stock of almost everything ?Thanks
It’s likely there to cover their own backs too! No doubt it’s fine to slap every now and then, but at least they’re covered when someone comes out of the woodwork saying they’ve shaken their gearbox loose from using the charging handle!

Can you do a shooting review of the guns you review?
