Wow, Peru is definitely on my bucket list. Beautiful and amazing places. I really like the video. Thanks for the ride. Look forward for more videos from your next adventure 🎉👍👍
Every now and then UA-cam actually recommends good channels. I'm so glad to have have found your videos. Your video shots are stunngingly breath taking !! And I just want to say thank you for not pairing them with crappy music !!!
Thank you for being humble and not being pretentious. I watch your videos while working out in the treadmill and they give me encouragement to work on achieving my dreams.
@L. W cats are usefull in outdoor areas, they will keep their(your) territory clean from diverse plagues, but mostly will take care of mice, to some extent. so even though they arent as cool as dogs, i wouldnt call a cat ugly, and their owners creepy. I would think its not the ideal pet for an apartment for example. And if you live in an apartment, and own more than 2 cats, then yeah, its creepy. or wierd., but mostly nasty.
Just love the fact that you dont color grade (maybe just small adjustments) and the final product in combination with music and your talk is so awesome! Minimalistic, clean, inspirational. Thank you!
Loved watching this! I am going to Peru next month and am looking forward to doing some hiking myself. Thanks for doing what you do- I love following along with your journeys!
Hiked this trail in 2017. Got to the first camping and literally passed out when pitching the tent. Of all hikes in South America this was definitely the hardest! Amazing video!
Kraig another beautiful film from beginning to end, thanks for sharing your journeys with us. That looked like some intense hiking, well worth the effort I imagine.
Thx so much for such an excellent video of such a beautiful place. Also, Kraig, for doing all the work and taking all the mosquito bites for me so I could see this wonderful place. I'm 73 now and just watching the video wore me out. The drone shots were a great touch.
Really good visuals, well done video. When we went to Choquequirao a long time ago (and then on to Machu Picchu), we were allowed to camp on the terraces at the ruins.
Great content you're putting out there! I did this trail all the way to Aguas Calientes back in 2014! Amazing memories! Thanks for the awesome videos, keep it up!
Bravo, bravo, bravo! What an experience! And I'm talking of the viewer's side! Didn't want to end. Actually rewatching it. Fantastic music selection. Bravo.
Lol...doing some paperwork at my desk, enjoying the music at slightly elevated level and you start yelling. Wife came running into my office in pure panic as to what must have happened to me. Could have left that part on the cutting room floor.
Found your channel through Matt D’Avella and since then I’ve got through most of your videos and a large number of your podcasts. I appreciate your character and content, and you’ve fast become my favourite creator.
I feel like right now, trips like these are something I will never be able to do. Thank you so much for sharing in a way that made me feel like I was there. The music, shots, and atmosphere all seemed to match perfectly and put me right there. Look forward to more like this from you bro
Amazing kraig! I seen you pushing hard through Choquequirao! I know you dont talk to much about your personal life but i have a general idea of what it feels like going through a break up. You are in charge of your own happiness! You learned how to be independent. I'm sure the right person will stick around to enjoy those things with you! Hope all is well. I wish you and Indiana the best moving forward!
It's like watching a Nat Geo documentary. I am a hiker myself and enjoy outdoors and you have been to most amazing places and your video making top notch. Keep them coming Kraig.
I've binge watched a lot of your videos and the somber mood of the music (in a good way) combined with your film making is so beautiful. I hike alone all of the time and your work really speaks to my soul. Cheers from the beautiful state of Utah.
Did this hike in early April of this year. Great vid! Brought back a lot of nice visual memories of this awesome trek. Stayed at that campsite you mentioned at the top of the hill with the kid and Chocolate. Nice family and awesome morning views you wake up to of the valley. Next time you go (and for anyone reading and planning to do Choquequirao), I would highly recommend visiting the terraces that's below the campsite at the park (sector XI, Pacchayoq). It's this vast area of steep terraces with a nice view of the waterfall. Glad you captured the difficulty of this hike... I was definitely complaining the whole way up on the return leg.
Maaaaan! I think I've seen you on the trek! On the very begginning of your hike, when you were going down through the "purple" grass field, I was going up with 2 other friends behind me (me, blond guy with beard, a guy with brown hair, and a blond girl) :) We were actually wondering why you wee carrying a camera with the microphone in your hand and all! Congrats man, you've been killing it honestly, what a pace :O I'm just wondering why haven't you filmed a lot of the site itself?
Excellent video. I did this hike in 2003, but continued on from the ruins another 9 days to Yanama and Huancacalle. I was 50 years old then---long ago and far away.

This is only the second video of yours I've seen, and it is already some of the very best stuff on UA-cam. Top notch content. Keep the hikes coming, Kraig.
I did a 5 day 45 mile walk to Machu Picchu. The first night I got food poisoning and altitude sickness and spent the entire night vomiting. The day after I travelled (very drugged up) on a local horse up to Salkantay point along a 100 metre drop. I thought I was going to die haha! Awesome to see you hike in the Andes - tarantula was wicked too!
I've just finished this Trek today and I have a few things to say: You were one of the biggest inspirations for making it. I hate you because you make it seem easy but I think I missed the part were you say it's one of the hardest things I've every done and yes it was one of my best worst decisions I ever made. Now I appreciate even more your videos, I tried to do a couple shots but I preferred to just keep walking. You are one of the hardest MF I've ever known. Thanks.
hiking looks soooo cool but i will never be able to do the solo hiking... i will get depressed by the end of it lol. thanks for great video. its beautiful.
This hike is unbelievably beautiful. I did it four years ago and remember coming back so dirty and tired that we literally had to toss our socks away, since there was NO WAY they could be washed and recovered haha. The solitude is massive, but I remember coming accross some more people along the way. Defintely better than Macchu Picchu, even if the Ruins are not as stunning, I have heard that only 10 % of them has been discovered/excavated. This is a hike that you should do soon, since there are plans to make a cable car that takes an hour or so and brings you to the top, avoiding 5 days of a beautiful hike (with return) 100% CAN RECCOMEND
How would you get your food if nobody would work? Just work and take a good long vacation once every 1 or 2 year. You'll be happier having something to look and work foreward to.
The hiking/running/trail theme is definitely something you should continue to pursue.

that's normal, when my cat sleeps by my side, I astral projected

this touched me hard.
What about the chickens, dogs, and donkeys?
i'm Swiss and the past four years I lived in Peru. I fell in love with this country
I'm from Costa Rica, and i got the opportunity to visit Switzerland in 2018 (just 17 days), immediatly i fell in love with it!!
God bless you. Greetings from Perú
I spent a month in Peru hiking and helping, really changed my outlook on life.
