In my humble opinion, this is one of your best silent hiking videos. Wonderful use of the medium for self-expression. I hope you continue to work with Artlist. They should be pleased. What a beautifully peaceful form of entertainment. Well done dude.
@@kraigadams Hey Kraig! Yeah, it would be nice to meet you. I'm from California. Next year(2024) I plan to do a fair amount of hiking in the Pacific Northwest and California. Maybe we can hike a section of trail in that part of the world sometime. Take care.
Huge difference in image quality. You really can tell how much better this looks especially at your level of film making. Thank you for all the detail shots, natural falloff and clean shadows with no noise. Stunning work Kraig.
So glad he shot this on the Sony. I know he wants to do iPhone only because it’s just easier and much lighter, but the quality isn’t even in the same ballpark. Makes a big difference shooting on an actual camera.
The image quality of the Sony camera is definitely worth it. You have a keen sense for beauty and what you are recording is worth being preserved in the best quality, especially since most of us won't ever go to these wonderful places.
Kraig, I am really glad that you switched back to your previous style videos. I understand that it is easier to just carry an iphone while hiking instead of the heavy mirrorless camera and tripod but the video produced by the Sony camera is superior to that of the iphone and you have an exceptional ability to produce evocative, lonely scenes in nature accompanied by excellent music choices. This is what makes your videos unique.
I can’t believe this. I’ve just finished the TMB (yesterday!) because I’ve seen your video when you walked it and now I see that you’ve been right there as well…
So much spectacular and unending sceneries in this film! Lots of friendly dogs and just awesome nature! Serenity at it's best scenic snow caped mountains, lake, spring wild flowersand the cute goats! 🐐⛰️❄️And oh, the hail is awesome too! 🙌🙌🙌
Thank you for this. I just returned from having a medical procedure and went under anesthesia for the first time. I was nervous about it, but this video really relaxed me and helped me daydream of a more beautiful place like Switzerland!
If ever you wonder what we the viewers get out of these posts, here it is: I love it when we go for a walk. I love we don't need to talk, i love the sound of every foot step, the birds, the wind through the trees, the dogs, the food, the views. I REALLY love it when we go for a walk
Stunning, Kraig. One of your best yet. Day 4 was epic, and truly astonishing effort on the tripod shots especially on the descent from the pass. All that walking back and forth.
Agree with other comments that this is one your best efforts. Very artistic. Great cinematography/drone footage. Great editing. Great music. Well done.
Amazing. The Valley of Rhone river near Lac Léman it's truly beautiful place, and like 10 years ago when I was student I saw this place on a picture and tell to myself that one day I visit it. I'm forgot about this for years. And now your video-trip just reminded me about all this.
Stunning video! One of my favorites of yours lately. I thought the pacing was especially on point. Characteristically meditative and relaxing, while also featuring a wide variety of emotional beats and cuts to different kinds of subjects; watched the entire video in one go and never for a moment wanted to alt-tab (which, unfortunately, has become a bad habit of mine as of late). Thanks for sharing!
I love your style, Kraig. The music complements the editing and creates a movie that draws you in. And you've proven that interviews and voiceovers aren't always required!!
Did this hike last year, this brings back memories of a past me, as some traumatic things happened since. It truly reminded me of my carefree truly happy self, a self that i won't have back, but just for a moment felt like again. Thank you very much!!
This video was incredible. Just don't forget about those of us who want to enjoy the beautiful mountains. I may have to watch it again to really absorb all the beautiful mountains, it felt like the clips were really short, but im not complaining lolz
I love love your videso. I love the way you take care of all dogs you see;) the love and care you have for our fur babies is beautiful. Right up my alley.
Damn dude. The shot at 1:07 looks soooo cool. Even though in that situation I imagine it wasnt´t that nice :D Amazing scenery as always, especially those snowy landscapes. Love the vibe. Keep on bringing these bangers, Kraig! Thanks so much for your work
I love the way you create your content. I felt the real hardwork setting up the camera. Every video really represents quality shots. It is a dream video for everyone who loves outdoors. Such a great compilations. Keep safe always sir! ☕️
Bro is back wit the insane video quality, this could be one of your best hiking videos! As a side note - Kraig, finally after seeing your TMB video in 2019, I'm going to do the TMB in 3 weeks!
Buddy Kraig! I am writing through Google translator, I hope it will convey my thoughts in the best way) Thank you very much for the video, for the wonderful nature and music. I have been watching your videos for a long time and I must say every time I see how your skill is growing. It's very cool that all this is the work of one person - yours. Huge respect for you for your vision of nature, love for it and for hiking. After all, to awaken the best feelings in a person is better not to come up with!)))
i miss the 20mm prime days, but this one feels like it is the second place best lens. Might have to grab one. Glad you're not doing phone for the hiking videos. I like them better for vlog. The hiking videos are so much about the visuals, that's where i see the difference. I know you wrestle with that topic. But that's it. Hiking = Visuals is king (Gotta get the sony) Vlogs = story is king (iPhone would still work!)
Loving to have you back with your amazing silent solo hiking videos (which brought me to your channel years a go in the first place). Btw: Yes, Switzerland is awesome!
Thanks Kraig for sharing these videos and inspiring us …I have recently started my own UA-cam channel and you were a major inspiration. Hopefully I will be sharing more adventures from Karakoram, Himalayas and Hindukush mountains in future.
I love this video! very amazing and beautiful scenery, what i love the most is the greeneries on this mountain, it's so stunning! always appreciate your first few minutes with drone shots, never misses for real for real. looking forward to many more videos brother!
so great to see you here in Switzerland ! that's crazy how I feel "at home" watching this video. maybe because I was watching a lot of thru hiking video about the PCT, appalachian , great enchantement trail etc, and the swiss's landscape looks so familiar to me
It is a very good hike. The mountain is very majestic. And I think it's another experience in life. I'm one of the people who made the clip. One day I will make it like you. Thank you for the inspiration that gives strength to me.
Fantastic footage and editing pace! I'd watch you whether you're filming with an iPhone or a high-end camera. You're a fantastic storyteller and cinematographer! Hope the best for you!
Excellent video. Beautiful country. They have a lot of things going for them. I was hoping that you would stay in Denver, but things change I look forward to your next video. Glad that you enjoy the dogs so much. Take care. .😊😊😊
Great video again. Glad you mentioned that you were filming again with the Sony, as I remembered you wanted to do more with the iPhone. I personally would like to see you do another hike with the iPhone. I am thinking of doing that too as it is a matter of weight reduction when hiking and the iPhone 14 Pro seems to be a useful tool for also filming. Look forward to the Scotland video.
I'm split about the Sony A7SIII vs iPhone thing. You know so much about running your activities as a business. For me what differentiates you from other creators is a) your talent and craft as a filmmaker and b) your honesty. I'm not a gamer and I ain't got time for the super long-form stuff you do, though I'll play a Q&A post when I'm doing some mindless work. I'm here mostly for the hiking and the filmmaking. Your shots show so much craft and good judgement and your films just... look better than most other people's stuff. You're kind of like Phillip Bloom in that way (his channels are WAY different than yours) but his image quality just dominates like yours does. IMHO your iPhone footage shows all of your judgement and experience ("craft") but the image quality is JUST a bit off compared to your drone stuff. BTW, your drone cinematography is just the best. Along with everything else your composition sense with a drone is just... MWAH (chef's kiss). The secret sauce is... talent and experience, maybe. Anyway--balancing image quality vs. complexity and pack weight is a conundrum. I've got a trek coming up and I keep looking at my mirrorless thinking "do I REALLY need this?"
switched up my tripod and microphone for this one - linktr.ee/kraig
make long videos please
In my humble opinion, this is one of your best silent hiking videos. Wonderful use of the medium for self-expression. I hope you continue to work with Artlist. They should be pleased. What a beautifully peaceful form of entertainment. Well done dude.
thanks Cary. hope we can hike together sometime

I have to agree
The beautiful and skillful drone use
The tone of the music was perfectly fit
Huge difference in image quality. You really can tell how much better this looks especially at your level of film making. Thank you for all the detail shots, natural falloff and clean shadows with no noise. Stunning work Kraig.
Crisp clear and high quality filming
The wonderful blend of drone and ground level film work
Inspiring!
So glad he shot this on the Sony. I know he wants to do iPhone only because it’s just easier and much lighter, but the quality isn’t even in the same ballpark. Makes a big difference shooting on an actual camera.
I appreciate the A7! It makes a huge difference and makes it a lot more enjoyable. The dynamic range is amazing!
So glad we got this beautiful hike in proper 4K! Looks amazing on my OLED.
So clear and stunning scenery
I’m amazed at the drone footage and control !
Perfect timing, Kraig Adams & Switzerland 👌🏼
I like how your lovely background music stays in the background and not blaring loudly. Great videos and drones!
He is doing a wonderful job with the music
It’s well chosen and adds to the emotional state of the viewer
He is very good !
A whole new level again!
Your style of filmmaking truly shows the appreciation for the locations you go to.
Always a happy day when we see a video from KAdams dropping! Unbeatable silent hiking videos and the best zen moments! THank you from the hot Lisboa
The image quality of the Sony camera is definitely worth it. You have a keen sense for beauty and what you are recording is worth being preserved in the best quality, especially since most of us won't ever go to these wonderful places.
Like the pleasant use of music and natural sounds. Story telling and cinematography top notch as always.
Amazing Switzerland ❤️🙏✌️🌈
Last October i went to some of these trails, i am a lucky person and have friends in this Region. Swiss mountains are so beautiful 😍

Stunning, Kraig. One of your best yet. Day 4 was epic, and truly astonishing effort on the tripod shots especially on the descent from the pass. All that walking back and forth.
The time it takes to grab three to five seconds of footage
But the results are so worth it
Inspirational work by him as always

Absolutely gorgeous
