The “Death Turtle” improved. nice ship. the only drawback is in random you can get hung out to dry because you are so slow.

A good ship but every time you play her you are guaranteed to get at least one CV. And every good CV player will focus you for free XP since you have no AA
... and not comparable. The Agin is a a T5
Maybe it is always played by the best players, but this thing is a challenge to face even in a Tier VII match.
Appreciate the review. I figured it was the Tier VI version with buffed AA and maybe better torpedo damage reduction, but apparently there is more to it than that. It will come around again.
The larger maps a Tier VII encounters (outside of ranked) could be an issue.

I picked up all of the secondary built US BBs from Oklahoma to Ohio. (To keep with the theme, I built Arizona as a secondary build. Not optimal but I did it for memes)
It makes me happy to hear you so happy @PotatoQuality :) I love playing WV 44. I may have missed it but I don't think you mentioned the AA (I know you did not see CVs in those games). She can poke T6 CVs pretty good and buy you a tiny bit of breathing room against T8 carriers. Still not great AA but better than you might expect.
This is one of the funniest of the T7 battleships. We named it as 'murder turtle' based on its speed, appearance and power level.
This ship will be added to the T7 premium containers for 30k community tokens next patch.

The ship you get is randomised though isn't? I believe there is one other new tier ship that I am short of from the new rewards in those crates.

Been running through ranked in the Rooke…had a similar reaction to that ship. Was definitely sleeping on it.
Rooke is the strongest tier 7 bb/bc by far.

In case you want to play something even lower then tier VII. The Oklahoma is available at tier V. It also has secondaries with the improved accuracy. (although not a fast reloading heal iirc)
Absolutely a sleeper. People skipped it because it just looked like a random Colorado. But when you play it... it is very fun. The history on this ship is also very cool. Something very fun/cool about playing the version of the WV that was raised and refurbished after Pearl Harbor.
I got it when it was in the event and its a mini mass its so fun to just go in with the secondaries and its strong
Pretty sure I got this ship from one of those player appreciation mission chains, where you do 3 simple chained missions and get a ship..
I slept on it, but also did the grind and got it....havent used it much but it is awesome when using it
I got this ship in a Santa container the other day; it's not the Smaland I wanted but I will still consider myself rather lucky.
I got it too, but this thing can carry it's basically a Colorado on steroids.
it needs better accuracy on guns to really shine, because the guns are very trolly@@thegreatid3595
I hate that I missed this thing as I didn't have enough of those tokens to get it.... I get sort of a similar experience with the Constellation though, with the downside is you trade some armor for speed and you trade secondary fire rate for some better main gun accuracy and reload.
I love this ship! But I still love Colorado too. ❤️ I wish we could get a T6 secondary USN Battleship too. Id love to see your take on New Mexico at T6. I wish they brought back the Hull A with all the secondaries. Sure, you get no AA, but it was still fun to play as a brawler.

West Virginia is an absolute MONSTER in ranked. I'm pretty new to the game and I can still do an average of like 80k damage per game and have mostly wins in ranked with it.

People always forget the Oklahoma. Also fast heal, 8.3 accurate secondaries, but worst pen guns in the whole game...
I think it's the slowest ship in the game, too. Can't even do 20 knots without the speed flag.
I got it in a Christmas Mega Container last week.
Part of the 4th of July event with the Halford.
And it came back in the Wisconsin dockyard.

Those secondaries are lethal to DDs, an instant delete damn.

WV44 should be available sometime next year around January-February; it's usually a 6 month wait.
That besides a later review is probably better on account of maybe being a better representation of the ship and it's performance post nerfs.
I was sad since i didnt have this ship till i got it in a santa crate so now i can mess with it.

Most likely the mod that changes all the USN premium camos to Measure 22. It's in the Aslain Modpack - "skins from Avalon > Functioning MS22 Camo Replacements"

I've received this ship yesterday out of one of the small Santa Containers. I'm very happy with this ship, a nice Brawler for the ranked season. 😅

Love this boat...wg does not like to make the large cal, heavy secondaries build. There is a reason it is not in the premium shop.

I have found the main battery of '41 to be very troll-y and that's without spec'ing into a 2ndary build.

That was because he was running a special commander but there are mods available that can change shell appearance.

I personally hated this ship when I got it. It felt both way too slow and fragile, on top of the hp pool being fairly small. Felt like a lot to give up for those big guns

Try the t7 YUKON in ranked it has overmatch guns.. with 1.9 sigma and superheal…its the strongest t7 bb in ranked…with only 6-7 ships u dont have unreal he spam or dd..u take the spotter. U have all the range u need……in randoms it cant push up epecialy up tiered and its range makes it stink…..but in ranked its a superheal OP beast those 9 15 inch guns r OP everyone thinks it sux cause its reputation is from random but again 1.9 sigma and superheal and 17+ km in ranked with spotter makes it a beast…and its armor is better than most at 7

IRL I am a huge WV fan. iirc I didnt buy it because when it was available it was stupid expensive. The usual story, enough tokens to wake the appetite, not a chance of enough to get t boat, the the only solution is a giant wad of dubs. fk that.

Off topic but hoping someone maybe knows what's up. In the last 24 hours, I have been unable to connect to wargaming webpages or servers with my specific wifi networks. All other internet works fine, and I can access the webpages on cell data, but wargaming networks have suddenly stopped communicating with my internet. Unable to load wargaming web pages or login to the game. Does anyone know why this might be, or how I could fix it? Cookies have been cleared, issue persists across browsers, but once again, cell data works fine.
I've opened a support ticket, but haven't heard back yet - which I'm not super worried about, but I know sometimes the general internet is faster at helping find fixes.

Can anyone enlighten me what goes on in the head of a player who was just smacked for half his hp and still does not change course even a little bit? I don´t get it. Also that typical terrible DD in ranked giving just the worst advice to not shoot the enemy DD xD. How? Just how do you get so bad and still run your mouth?! He´s literally at the bottom of the score board.
Yeah, I dunno what the thought process could be that leads to you telling someone off for focusing down nearby DD. Some brains just do not work.
It kind of sucks... Its not as armored as german BBs and its too slow to disengage or re position. It can work in brawls or ranked, but she is painful in randoms

Gotta say im very surprised of this postive video of the WW44 after having watched yesterdays stream, maybe this video represents the first half of the stream? :D Because in the second part its a whine fest of dispersion-problems, even quitting from a game and a lot of salt. Gotta say PQ is now the best content creater for WOWS imo, but I doubt I will watch much of his streams, so much whine and negativity. But I guess this game and its flaws brings out the worst in us.
They gave it Measure 22, can they please give the other US ships Measure 22.
2xUptiers, 2xsubs, and perma-spotting by CVs and subs usually prevents me from getting into 2ndary range in any ship. Sometimes getting into main battery range is basically suicide.

Prinz Heinrich is one of the worse ships in the german BC line, the pen of the main caliber guns and the short range is killing this ship.

That’s a different event, they only offered Hood, Gorizia, and Tashkent ‘39. West Virginia ‘44 was on sale during the 4th of July event, where you could get it at a discount if you completed the combat missions.
