Spartan. You sent a bunch of planes to attack without activating plane armor with an enemy patrol aircraft overhead. You are a genius !
I personally love playing carriers. I always die too fast playing other battleships. My overall dmg is actually higher when playing CVs since I'm able to stay alive for most of the match. Along with ability to scout, I feel like I'm providing more value for my team playing carriers rather than other ships.
More than showing how broken carriers are I think this match is a wonderful highlight of how unbelievably brain dead high level play is right now. Far too many times I see matches like this where the whole team just lemming trains into oblivion. My team and the enemy team. I swear I've had more interesting matches again smarter opponents at tiers 3, 4 and 5 than I have at tiers 7, 8 and legendary.
Not broken in fact at this point they are nearly rendered useless and its a damn shame.
Please share for the class by what asinine logic this shows carriers as “broken”? Because he says he’s bad at them but manages an ok game? That’s not proof.
@@HMAlaska I would but there are ways to have a conversation and starting out with "Please share for the class" is NOT the way to start that conversation. Not to mention it's "share WITH the class" not "share FOR the class". I see your NWU's in your profile pic so I know for a fact you know how to be respectful.
Also if you actually read what I said I said MORE THAN showing carriers being broken. Meaning I felt that the highlight point of this video should have been the ineptitude of the enemy team and how in high level play you see teams like what he faced far more often than you should. Personally I find carriers annoying rather than broken.

But for a damagepool of 6 Battleships who are in the game, 106 DMG is not much. You would have more DMG if you played any other BS. So i don't think CVs are OP.
And you have to do more movement if the red team manages to playing better as this one. Sometimes you wish, you could sit in the back and drop bombs and torps at the enemy, but you have to run for your life the hole time. It really depends on the situation and the teams.
Its more that they get that kind of damage and utility while risking nothing that makes them OP.
Also, this wasn't a particularly great game. Spartan openly said he doesn't like cv's and isn't very good in them.

Funny coincidence. I just got this thing yesterday. I’m not great with CV’s. The higher tier ones definitely have a learning curve.
Whoa! I thought Spartan swore to never again jump into a Carrier.
Hanging around at the back of the map in a Carrier just to launch planes isn't my idea of fun. That tactic reminds me of the British Tank Destroyer The Death Star.
It would be irresponsible and extremely neglectful as a cc to ignore carriers.
Carriers play is awesome fun and a brilliant skill based addition to the game.
They are very difficult to play and require intelligence and skill.( high tiers )
How often do you see them in top place on the board ? You don't .
Try being competitive in a cv ......... nope not easy at all.
Many people enjoy them every day and serve their team in many ways to spot the enemy dd and to render assistance and help them secure their win.
They are here to stay. 😊

That's nothing, one shimakaze torp or top tier IJN DD can do that amount with only one mind you. And those HE bombers are like the British BBs shooting HE.
@@iybizuku1366 Yes i agree Cv is not overpowered in anyway ( higher tiers ) and has become the scapegoat for overpowered DD etc.
Would be nice if WoWs would calculate spotting damage like it does on PC

About the only difference with your Commander build and mine is that I run Geisler for secondary reload, and Tanaka for Hull Crusher for that extra torpedo damage. Nothing quite like having American aerial torps that hit like Japanese aerial torps, right?
I love playing carriers but I hate the usual builds. I mainly build into anti air and I push up with my team to destroy the enemy plains
I hope eventually we get a British legendary grade carrier, maybe audacious or Malta, tho Tbf I see audacious before ng a tech tree shop if they continue that

I don’t know why people are so against carriers being in the game, there not game breaking in my opinion or overpowering, makes the game interesting when one is in the game, I personally enjoy it when I have one of my AA build battleships and a carrier is in the game, funny watching them trying to hard to get close to me so they can drop a bomb or torps

CV's are late game ships. First 5 min spot the enemy team and spot/attack dds
Screw carriers, spartan you think you have bad luck. The other day I take out my new Mexico, first game of the day just trying to warm up. The carrier is the Ark Royal. Of course he chooses to attack me, hits me with one drop, 15 k gone and 2 fires. I then proceed to DC. He flies back around and TRIPLE FIRES ME!!! Taking 25k and then, he comes back with torpes and kills me... safe to say I threw my controller and stopped playing the game 😂😂😂
Ark royal is a t7+ at t5 its massively op. It lands 100% of bombs on target and the bombs hit hard.
For the love of god, please use the engine cool down consumable.

One way to keep players from balling up, would be to have something that forces them (barrier, divide, etc), to stay on their sides for lioe 4 or 5 mins. Then, the "something" would disappear and they could go anywhere they wanted. This would solve so much to include positions being overloading early game.
@@believeinahero6655 you can’t do that, it’s down to to person how he/she wants to play, you can’t force people to take a direction/route they don’t want to go, it’s a war strategy game so you use what strategy you want, if they added that to the game I wouldn’t play

Midway was the last Essex carrier to finally be retired. She stayed in service until 1992.
Midway is not an Essex class shes a Midway Class
i love your channel. Its my main go to for learning this game. i must ask and i hope you can tell me, How did you get all of those legendary ships?!?! thats amazing!!!!! I just dont get how its done other than playing for 22 years. Anyway, thankyou for the content.
Takes a long time to grind the bureau for sure but having all the ships and commanders to speed up the bureau helps
Also log in every day to keep progress going and do your missions in AI because it makes them super easy to get the wins you need

What a piece of c..p carrier. I just had a game where all 3 of my first attacks where shredded by aa before i could drop bombs or torpedos. I'm back to Saipan and Kaga

Sorry that response isn’t entirely true. Remember back during August they were saying that they were changing coastlines on maps. That was the signal that they are and have been altering maps to accommodate submarines. According to some of the communities in Europe, these guys have been uncanny on predicting legends additions with a month or two error, some expect subs by late summer.. I personally have no strong feelings about this.

Spartan you are able to permanently camo the Midway. You only need 12 of the same paint to permanently camo a ship. Lol

Big fan as usual Spartan but I think you sour grapes on Midway is misguided. A 20,000 damage for a bomb run being too much? Come on a Conquer can beat that easy and hit it more often. So can most of the other legendary BBS. You can get get nicked by a stray torp and almost get that done to you. Carriers are a all or nothing situation. You get fairly good offense, the only one in the game that can be stopped after launch by the way. Your planes being shot down nullifies the run. But you have almost no reliable defenses for anything not plane based. As for this games version of Midway. She is woefully lacking. Bombs? Tier 7 actually do more damage. Torpedo strikes? Saipans is actually better. The ace in the hole for top end carriers on PC is attack aircraft. We do not get them. Now let talk about planes. Despite the description saying she had the largest deck and capacity Midway plane regen is the slowest in the game and she has less on deck than I think even tier 5.Keeping in mind this add that just a about everything she will come across has god tier AA. If you are not constantly changing out wounded planes you can get deplaned really easy. Hakryu isn’t in a much better situation she can make new plane fast as hell absolutely but the plane are made of tissue paper and not fast enough to avoid being in the large AA bubbles to long. All in all the legendary carriers are big dogs. But these bogs are flabby and missing most of their teeth.
The difference is that all those ships have to put themselves in danger to get attacks off
@@SpartanElite43 and they can easily defend themselves. You know the long range sniper players in FPS games same deal as carriers. Anyone gets close to a carrier what the odds it will survive? In hands of a decent player? zero. Well I guess carriers are just going to be the Brussels sprouts of this game some people love the some are revolted. Either way variety is the spice of life. Good comment, playing a CV well is not easy and the Legendary Carriers are unimpressive. The only OP CV is Ark Royal and it’s going to be nerfed because of player base whinging.
@@ShepherdRAR ark royal is more powerful than any t7 at the moment, its nasty. I'd rather have a saipan/kaga against me in t5/6than ark.

Spartan midway is like saipan, HE is nice but the torpedoes is where is at, i got raizo tanaka and the other pan asian commander that boost torp dmg, and oh man my torps are dealing 8k+ a hit, and oh man, i love farming gks and yammies with those 4 torps per drop

Y'all are going to probably hate me for this but I main aircraft carriers and I'm currently trying to get the midway because my dad served on that ship he was in operation desert shield, desert storm, and desert victory I'm on segment 8 and I'm really trying to get the midway it's my favorite ship

Open the big map with select button and then move cursor to a square on the map you want to move to and hold x button on xbox or square on ps.

Practice Spartan, practice. Platoon with a Japanese destroyer, send the DD out on a flank run as a decoy then kill the attackers of the destroyer.
Cvs shine at the end of the match sadly and low tier dd bum rushers can be a pain as with high tier if cvs are stupid so are subs and over pens on broadsides etc whats next factory duds? lol. The lag rockets suck when getting bum rushed also.

Because it does so much more damage per run & it's planes have more HP. Hakyuru's planes blow up when you look at them funny.

Just like a destroyer the damage will come. Its unfortunate your video doesnt do justice of the effort it takes to get to a top tier carrier.
