Andrew Pell hello sir, can you please confirm if it was actually a psu problem. I have a very similar problem to yours, my temps are the same but after setting it to 65% its stable now so i was thinking its a PSU problem. If you can kindly confirm i appreciate it.

This worked like a charm!! Thank you. I only noticed one thing but it wasn’t a major problem. I’m a Simmer (I play The Sims 4) and the only thing I noticed was that the worlds load a little slower when traveling to another location but...like I said, wasn’t really a huge problem. I’d take that over my computer suddenly shutting down in mid-play and losing everything I just did. This was a fantastic temporary fix!!

My pc started shutting down midgame about 6 months ago. First with graphic intensive games, now with almost everything. Its been frustrating and this video gave me somewhere to start before I start just throwing cash at new parts, which I know is inevitable. It works. First tried 65% and it still turned off. Then tried 80% and I've been fine ever since (this morning). Fingers crossed that it lasts. Thanks, man!

@@b1na276 yeah mine still does but i found out that my gpu temps were good but when i went to go and see how hot it was inside i shit you not it was like if you stepped into a car in arizona summer dry heat it was not okay so thats what my issue was

@@ki11aqueen5 to add to that make sure your fans are actually doing something my fans weren't doing anything i resolved the issue by temporarily putting a fan to blow air into the components. My fans in the computer were blowing air but it wasn't enough so i had to buy a 4 new fans and its running good again

Not sure why it didn’t work for many of the repliers below but it worked like a charm for me. Maybe it has to do with their computer specifics. I had mine built a while ago specially so I could play my Sims games. It only just started the random shutdown thing a few months back. As soon as I did what you explain here it stayed on and I was able to play for hours (not that I should have been, but I lose all time when I’m playing the game, that’s why I don’t allow myself to play too often, lol). Thank you so much for this fix!! It brought the life back into my game ☺️

I like that you admit it's a temporary fix. If you're having these issues honestly you should never put a bandaid on it and ignore it thats how you end up with an irreversible problem.

OMG, it worked😁. I'm using a standard asser laptop with 1.10Ghz and before the cpu was running at 130%😶 (didn't know it was allowed to do that) but I did what you said, but it may needs cleaning, cuz I have it for 6 months now. 😓

Man, I had this exact problem only when gaming. I found out how to fix it completely. I been watching 100s of these tips videos and none of them had the complete answer. Come to find out it was the temps over heating and getting to a limit where the computer shuts off. Thermal tempts get too high the computer just shut off to protect vital components.
All you have to do to completely fix this issue is remove your heat sink then clean it up with alcohol. Then apply a fresh coat of thermal paste and make sure its evenly spread out.

My pc is not shutting down it's actually restarting when ever i try to play good game or put a lot pressure into it I have a pretty good graphics card so that should be not graphics card problem I was wondering where is the problem why it literally restarts when ever I play something good or higher graphics I used to play good games without any problem it's happening since 1 month or so

There is a technology in Motherboard that restarts your pc when the CPU temp reaches certain level. So first make sure that the CPU Is not over heating, Download some software to check CPU temp and see if it crosses 80 C.

What are you talking about? Im playing assetto corsa online on akina and it just shuts down in 2 minutes. The lower the processer percent, the faster it shuts down. It obviously makes it worse due to the fact it restricts the power of it, restricting everything else.
It’s like decreasing the top speed of a car from 100 mph to 70 mph, and thinking you’ll get the same time on a drag strip. Your just limiting the power. That makes it worse.

Thank you, I found out there was a setting that shuts down the hard disk over 20 minutes. I set it to never and I put the minimum to 95%. It made my game run a lot faster and didn't make my pc shut down. Thank you :D

when you open the menu at 1:46 you'll see that there are multiple options on top of it aside from the ones shown in the video. Just tinker around and you'll see that there are more options that actually cause your pc to shutdown.

Ive had issues now the last two days with my pc sounding like a jet engine...
This was the fix, it only happends with one specific game also. So this is optimal fix for me.
Currently playing a tycoon game and it always shuts my pc off. Sure its dirty and has a lots of dust, it could be a big factor but thats also why this fix is so good.
My pc does not sound like a jet engine no more. And no more random crashes, so happy. new sub from me!!

I was playing weedcraft and the only thing that made it work was to lower the % of the power to under 60. then i turned it back up after a few days and my pc actually works better after. Altough i cant play it with my normal % on the power so i dont play it anymore. Love these indians, fixing and knowing everything of the windows computer.
@@714quaaludes2 I just tried putting power to 80%, so far managed to play few days without shutdown. It really works. But the thing to remember: Once you are done with that particular interest of yours game, better put it back to 100%, dont forget !

solution is very easy : shut down your pc and remove the ram(s) and clean it (them) with an eraser and reinstall them and problem is over. Let me know if this resolve your problem with automatic restarts.

Yo just wanna ask you this. So i replaced battery of my ups and repaired my cpu a week ago. Then this problem started just after i repaired EVERYTHING!. When i play my games it lags alot and then after a few moments it shuts down and we should wait for a moment to start it.

I have a 6 year old Dell laptop. So far it has worked without any issues. I always paid attention to the physical and software cleaning, I did, I had it done. For the last 1 year, my laptop has been cutting power by itself and shutting down. I'm so tired now nothing works. The harddisk is solid, the pastes have been changed, the detailed cleaning has been done (the computer guy said he did it), the video card was checked and it is solid, there is no problem with the processor, there is no problem with the charger, my battery is about to die, it works at 25% efficiency, but when I remove the battery and run the computer like that, I also experience a shutdown, so the battery isn't the root cause of the problem either. Please help me I'm about to go crazy. I'm going to throw the laptop on the wall, I'm so tired now

@@sameerembaby6100 I haven't tried that but the computer can shut down even while it is starting up. Sometimes it shuts down after 10 minutes and sometimes within seconds. So I didn't think it was related to heat. Everything that could cause heat was cleaned and the pastes were renewed but it didn't have any effect

Thanks dude !! Look my laptop shuts down in every about 20 minutes. BUT i have a little vantillator kind of thing that cools down my laptop.
And the interesting thing is that when i use that vantillator when i use my laptop i have like 1 more hour before it shuts down. i looked at it and it was on 100 %
