vga led in red means gpu is not detected, or at least for most motherboards. unplug your gpu and plug it again, it may just needed to be reseated. do the same for the rams and clean any dust on the slots
Kudos, sir Mac! You managed to compress all the crucial points I've been stressing about last month on my laptop. My display adapter or my Nvidia keeps missing causing no display to my monitor and occasional bsod. This forced me to start building a PC. I'm afraid it's a hardware failure because i've tried all solutions i could find from updating drivers, fresh installing them, reinstalling my os to updating my bios.
bro if you're using something like this amzn.to/3siEucl then it is that adapter might really be causing the no display. I've use something like that and its really pain. having a direct cable will be more stable. I hope you'll be able to fix your laptop
recently got a new pc everything seems to be fine, im not overheating, my ps has more than enough juice, but when i play games like warzone or forza my system “reboots”. The weird part about this is that if i play cyberpunk on raytracing ultra my system hasnt crashed once
i suggest search for a specific graphic settings for warzone and forza indicating your pc specs. I heard a lot of people here are having the same issue with warzone at least and they keep have the reboots and all. I think this is more of a game graphic settings than a hardware issue. All i can say is that your pc is fine since it works well with other games

I was gonna make a video like this myself and still might, but what I really found was the magic fix was setting a higher temp limit (can be the max; 91 degrees in my case) combined with a custom fan curve. I'm using the RTX 3090 on Apex, and to avoid overheating I use a custom curve so it's at 72 degrees, but the limit increased; because technically it's "at" about 82 degrees with the curve, which is the stock limit for the card and exactly when it shuts down. I'd also recommend having Geforce Experience's advanced performance overlay showing, and you can also double check the temp limit is set before you start gaming; sometimes Afterburner doesn't stick it, so you have to move it a bit and re-apply for it to kick in.
MSI Afterburner should allow you to do that. After several more months of testing though, I haven't needed to change the temp limit actually so it may have been more down to not having the current Intel HD Graphics drivers installed, I have a large forum post about all the Apex stuff I tried that I'll dig up in a bit for you. These days I only really change to the Undervolting profile if needed, so less voltage is needed for the GPU and pumps out less heat over the Summer. Or back on default to heat the room over the Winter 😎
Nice! It takes a bit of trial and error but glad you found a way! My mate also has a gaming laptop and think underclocking helped his heat issues. Sometimes if it's game-specific like I had with Apex, the game's own log files can determine whether some other software thing is at fault (like me needed to enable Intel HD Graphics in the bios and ensure those drivers were up to date, because the faulting DLL pointed to that)
hi my gpu fan randomly going down on high temperatures which causes overheat tried using msi afterburner fan control still having same problem happening. any tips would be appreciated
Well, every game runs perfectly on my pc, but when I start aimlab (not actually hard to run for an average pc) my pc turns off after 2/3 mins. Anybody got this problem too?
My pc will stop connecting to my monitor and my fan will go wild I’m forced to force shutdown as turning of the monitor and unplugging everything does not work
you might have a pc full of dust or you have set an auto overclock settings in your bios. I suggest go to bios, load optimize defaults, save settings and exit bios. hopefully this will fix it
Mine did that without overheating issues. I always put a decent amount of paste with a massive tower coolers from cryorig. I always checking the temps immediately after shutting down and its all normal. What probably are causing this?
if your cpu and gpu temps are not going beyond 90c then yes it's not overheating. If you are still experiencing the shutdown this might have been a psu problem or the power outlet in your home is not giving enough juice for your system due to power fluctuation. I suggest use an AVR or UPS if ever that is your case
You are a life savor i want to play fortnite with my friends (sounds cringey but I have no one else to play with) and my pc keeps crashing and they make fun of me for it (i play on pc while they play on console) so i kept looking for videos then i found this video and realized that my fans werent going fast whenever i played so my gpu and cpu was overheating so when i put them on max speed when i played i had no problems
So I came back to my computer after a week, and it wouldn’t run an older game for more than 5 minutes, never had a problem like this for almost a year since I got a new battery and after getting rid of a malware and getting my rid of a ton of temp files, it still shuts down literally 3 seconds into a game
just one game? how about other games? try checking the cpu and gpu temperature and also if there is anything running in the task manager processes that could be eating a long of system workload.
I’m desperate for advice. My gfs pc works great, every game runs fine, expect Apex legends. For about 2 months now whenever she boots up Apex, her screen goes black and her pc shuts down except for the Ram lights and stuff. And the only way to turn it back in is to turn off and on the psu. I did a clean boot of windows, lowered Ram speeds, updated bios, but nothing has worked. I’ve been to forum after forum but I can’t find a solid answer and I’m at my wits end.
usually if it happens in a single game then that game is the problem. I've heard from some of my viewers having the same problem in spite of having a beast pc. Some of them told me that it only worked when they move the game in their ssd (C:) drive. For some it worked some it doesn't, even i don't know what is up so i don't really have a sure answer bro, sorry i can't help you
I never had this problem before cleaning my pc. I took everything out and cleaned it and after few days my computer restarted unexpectedly. After few few weeks this happened everyday - once - twice a day then whenever I played csgo. I opened the my computer and replugged the ram again. Everything looks clean - but I didn't clean using dust cleaner - just puffed air with my mouth. Anyways, after not turning it on for 2 months - it worked for 3 days without turning off and again start having the old returning again.
My pc shuts down when I'm playing valorant. It never does that on other games. I've cleaned it well, overheating or airflow is not the problem. I tried the same of more graphics hungry games like forza and my pc worked just fine. I have the latest drivers. I've reinstalled the game. What could be the issue?
one of my viewers who plays valorant mentioned that he moved the game to his ssd and was working fine afterwards, other mentioned that you need to disable anti virus software that is preventing game guard to function well. Perhaps one of these solution will help you
@@e7lsa491 i thought it's already in the ssd? or you just assume it is in the ssd? Move the folder of the game, drag and drop or reinstall the game and choose the ssd drive
My PC suddenly cuts power and is totally dead. Only when I unplug and plug it back in will it turn on again. It can idle all day no problems but has shut off when downloading/installing a Steam game, rendering a video, and recording through Streamlabs. Tried installing Sims through Steam today, and it has shut off three times after about ten minutes each time, so I need to figure out the issue but am pretty clueless about PCs. When it shuts down, GPU and CPU are right around 60 Celsius. GPU driver is updated, RAM reseated and clean, and all peripherals except mouse, keyboard, and monitor are unplugged. either you have an old hdd installed in your pc or your home power outlet is not stable due to power fluctuation. If ever you have an old hdd installed, i'm talking about like 4-7yearsold hdd, you better start backing up the files right now since that is a dying drive sign you are experiencing. My second idea is that you experience power fluctuation in your home, i now your psu is a good one but try borrowing an AVR or UPS from a friend or someone you know just to check it. Or you could just bring your pc at a friend's house instead.
@@MacCoyzkie Thank you. The entire PC is only a year old, and it's been on the same outlet with no issues prior to this, and other PCs in house are fine. my pc shutdown when i play high graphic game such as rust, however on other game demanding less power it does not shutdown, i checked temps of every single comps and they are normal i have rtx 3090 + amd threadripper 3990x do you think it could be PSU issue? my PSU is a 1000w PSU, but in your website calculator it said 844w is enough. i tryed absolut everything, reinstall windows, update all driver, etc, check temps, and even occt stress test, no shutdown at all, just in video game, my question would be, does playing game could give alot of variation in the PSU? then would maybe cause my shutdown.
i got several viewers having the same gpu like yours who's having pc shut down on rust as well. I think this has something to do with the game itself. That is if it only happens to you in rust. Btw did you overclock your pc?

Hey Mac, bought a cyberpower pc about 2 weeks ago and everything was working as should until recently every game I play (destiny 2, warzone, siege, rocket league) goes black screen with my monitor saying “no display detected”. I would also add that I can hear the game still for a couple seconds and then it turns into a buzzing sound. I’ve checked temperatures before seconds of this happening and no overheating. I even accidentally dropped a phone case on top of my pc and it triggered the black screen and buzzing aswell. To further investigate that I went ahead and tapped my pc with a bit of force on its side and it’s actually black screening when I do that too lol. May I say it still does do this when it’s completely untouched aswell like I said earlier. But I’m interested on what are your thoughts ? Should I replace the display port? Maybe it’s the power supply? Thank you!
my first theory is loose cables inside the pc. this usually happens in prebuilt pcs during shipping and first thing you need to do is to check those sata, psu cable going in your gpu and mobo etc if all are plugged in all the way. while checking make sure pc is unplug to any outlet. if you're hearing the game sound after losing display signal this means that the pc has nothing to do with the issue. this is more like a monitor cable problem or the monitor itself. If you're using a monitor cable converter that is likely the culprit, changing or at least borrowing a different cable to check is one thing you should do to test if the cable is the issue. also try your monitor with console or other pc to check if it's working fine.
@@MacCoyzkie thanks for the ultra fast reply 🙏🏻 I’m fairly new to pc and I’ve been loving it. I would love to get back to my gaming lol ! I’m using a display port cable but I also have another pc I haven’t tested the dp cable/monitor on so thanks I’ll give that a go. On the other hand, I’ll go ahead and start looking at videos on how to check and fix loose cables in my pc. Thanks Mac for your insight!

My PC is actually still pretty banged up, Ive been waiting for Cyberpower to reach back to me regarding the warranty. and its been almost a month lol. I thank the youtuber Mac for the insight cause what he said is usually the case. But unfortunately thats not the case with me. Ive done tons of things, like replace the monitor (twice), and went through many many display ports. reset the pc. Mind you I know theres other things one may do, such as removing the graphics card and putting it on another pc, but I'm not so tech savy to get into that right now. Hence why I bought the prebuilt in the first place. I kinda just wanted to jump straight into the gaming haha. I hope you find it easier to fix your situation! I also suggest calling cyberpower team support, they can get you situated. Just so you know they take mad long getting back to you (Ive waited 2 hours on hold). I am experiencing this particular problem. When I check the event log Kernel Power 41 appears after the PC shutting down while gaming. This doesn't happen with all the games, it happens only on very demanding ones like AC Odyssey or Cyperpunk 2077 for example. I have updated all drivers related to AMD chipset, the BIOS, tested the RAM for errors, and before this I had made a clean reinstall of Windows. Temps are also fine, topping at 75C. This is driving me crazy... IsKernel Power 41 related to gpu failure? or PSU failure more commonly? How can I know if the PSU isn't delivering the 850W its supposed to have as an output, and hence, faulty?
there are a lot of possibilities but since you almost tried it all and you still get those issue, specially that clean windows installation. My first theory is a motherboard feature called "fast boot" disable that stupid feature because it is causing a lot of problem more than it's helping. I've build and fixed a lot of pc with the same issue cause by that fast boot startup thingy and turning it off fixed it. Another one is you need to clear bios for now, try to do a hard reset by clearing cmos, just in case you don't know how to, well here is a video instruction ua-cam.com/video/S9hyEPTFR10/v-deo.html after doing all of these suggestions i gave and still doesn't work i suggest update the bios to the latest in accordance to your cpu compatibility, having the local shop help you do this will be nice but if you can do it yourself then that will do also. just remember to plug the pc into a UPS and make sure bios update process will never be interrupted in any way or else this will make your motherboard unusable
Hi 👋 hope you doing well! I have the same issue, pc shut down while playing, but.... I noticed 1 thing! If i undevolt my gpu rx570 it draws less power , and i can game without problem. If i revert to normal settings it draws 120-130watts and my pc shuts down My psu is a Corsair hx850! I guess i have a dying psu, right?
i don't think it's the psu. May i know your cpu and ram speeds? hx850 should be fine and rx570 shouldn't be a problem. Have you tried reverting everything to default like cmos reset
as for the PSU, you better also check you house electrical route, VA and conditions sometimes good PSU wont start because it detect anomaly / fluctuations the alternative (and expensive) solution is you either bought a stabilizer, or bought UPS depends on you PSU with margin of 150 to 200 watts or with the VA that comes 2.5x times larger than your PC wattage example if you had a pc with 850 watt, it is better to use an UPS with 1000-1200 watts, or 2000 VA

Nice video, however I am having a problem of my PC kinda crashing while playing some games. I can still hear the sound of the game but the monitor goes blank and the sound on an infinite loop. Do you happen to know anything about that and how to fix it?
sounds like a hdd issue, this happens when your hdd is about to become faulty soon. Or this could be just cable or any monitor adapter like this ua-cam.com/users/shortsPzGdrbL_0nI
Thank you for answering my question. It might be a hdd problem, because the monitor doesn’t go black, it just switches to another color, usually blue. The sounds become quite glitchy and most of the times it’s just stop working properly

man, my laptop is always getting shutdown when i play heavy games, some technicians says it just because of the motherboard, what em i supposed to do? this is the very first time i encounter this to my laptop, ive been playing gta v and other games so long and now i cant even play like 5 minutes
the technician maybe right but i think this is a temperature problem, if your laptop shut itself down during gaming only that means your cpu or gpu temperature is reaching it's limit. If you keep this up and just start over again after every automatic shut down, you will fry your system and worst case scenario, it will not work even in desktop. Better check on those heat pipes and cooler if there is any dust blocking the aiflow.
My pc shuts down and restarts again almost immediately, even when not gaming. It's not overheating because the temp isn't hight anywhere. This started happening out of nowhere sometime a month ago, and for a 2 week period during Easter this fixed and it performed completely flawless, and now it's back to zero like before it fixed itself.
might be low power draw from psu or the wall outlet if you got power fluctuation around your area. you need to check your psu using a tester like this ua-cam.com/users/shortsYrC3PlflLq0
My PC crashes once I start streaming on discord after a couple of minutes. Everything stays on but I end up with a black screen. Any tips on preventing this please and thanks.
this might be overheating so check your pc temps by using msi afterburner. If pc temperature goes higher than 90c it will automatically shut down itself. Don't try to push it after every shut down because you will destroy your gpu or cpu. anyway this could also be wrong voltage overclocking or xmp or docp may not be working well, the solution for this is to go to bios and load optimize default to reset all overclocks to normal.
I currently have this issue. How do you know if your motherboard is faulty? I’ve pretty much ruled out all hardware except the motherboard, but I want to see if there’s a way to test that out without having to replace it, because that’s a hassle…
if you tried the rest of the parts (gpu, ram, hdd etc) except the motherboard with other pc and all works then that's how you know that your motherboard is no longer working. I don't think there is any other way
My laptop is shutting down (in 2 mins after starting game )due to overheating, i cleaned dust inside, still having same issue , problem was never before , how to solve it?
if your laptop was 2 to 3 years old then you might need to replace the cpu and gpu thermal paste. That is if you know how to dig in your laptop. Try using something like this amzn.to/2R5mFzq
When I am playing a game over 60fps after about 30 minutes to an hour my monitor screen goes black and my keyboard and mouse become unresponsive but my pc is still on. Do you think this is a GPU issue because this only happens when I play above 60fps on any game.
your pc most likely crashed because of overheating or unstable overclock. If you're temps are ok and are not causing the crash it might be overclock on someway. Try to load optimize default on your bios, save settings and exit bios. About your question, if you can still go to desktop, your gpu is still good just don't keep push it too much on that situation.

that 86c is too high, you're pc is 4c away from shutting down itself. keep it under 80-85c during heavy workload. I have this same problem MY WINDOWS keeps telling me for updates and they r pending And i also changed my bios settings for high proformance from a video I have amd Ryzen 5 Gtx 1660Ti 8 GB ram I HAVE MSI... Help me sir..!
I have a 3080ti with a Ryzen 9 32gb ram and my psu is 850 watts. I play everything max 4k settings. I have some pretty demanding games. Squad is the only game that restarts my pc. I’d like to think that dcs for example is more demanding than squad and I have no problems with that game. I can play gta fivem (also a game that made my old pc crash) but not squad. It’s crazy because my older pc with lower specs could run squad at 1440p with good setting but my 3080ti can’t ?
update gpu driver and windows too, if you already done that and it still has that shutting down problem then this might be because of the graphic settings of the game itself. I'm not familiar with the game graphic settings of squad but i suggest search for an appropriate settings tutorial for it. If i'm not mistaking there is Cyber punk also has that issue but with correct graphic settings in game it will work just fine in ultra. its not a hardware issue obviously since you got a beast pc
I have this issue where either everything freezes but i can still hear stuff untill a period of time and it stops or everything goes blank and i cant hear anything but my pc is still turned on fans are going lights are running idk what the issue is im coming to a point where i think i need to buy a new pc
My pc shuts down while gaming, and when it reboots it says "Power supply power surge detected during previous power on. Asus-anti surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power unit". It only happens when I play games like Valorant or csgo for like an hour. But when I play games like Minecraft, I can play for hours and hours without my pc shutting down. I don't know much about computers and I want to avoid buying a new PSU because I cannot assemble a pc properly myself, so any tips would help.
you might be using asus mobo and that's a good feature there. Now this is either you have an unstable power output from wall outlet or your psu is lacking power to run the entire system at its max level. Use a power surge protect extension or UPS or AVR, plug your pc there before you plug those in the wall outlet. I usually advice pc owners to use those things specially when electricity in their house is unstable. more info here ua-cam.com/video/WiF2f08jwe0/v-deo.html now this is an advice, calculate your system's power consumption, use pcpartpicker.com/ and place all your pc parts there and you'll see the power consumption overall. There must always be a 100 watts headroom from the total wattage consumption of your pc. If your pc consume 450watts in total then your psu must be 550 watts or higher
I bought a cyber power pc about 8ish years ago, since then I have upgraded my GPU and ram it ran fine for about 2-3 years after that and I am now experiencing this issue. I am able to run lower performance games like splitgate and minecraft, but if I get on GTA or Red dead it completely shuts down after about 10-15 mins. Do you think this is a power supply issue? I know I’m not overheating, I’ve reseated my gpu, and changed just about any settings inside the computer you can imagine. Id just like to hear somebodies opinion before I go spend hundreds on PC parts that I might not need.
I have this issue where I am on google chrome and I have a very powerful rig so it isnt my parts I have an rtx 2070 8 gb 3x a ryzen 7 2700x and 16 gb ram. I havent tried it with gaming. The problem is very similar and I checked my temps and its all good. My monitor shuts down and the computer is still on and the fans start to spin very loud. help please
oh these are rams problem, can you re-seat your rams and try testing it out again, if that still doesn't work try turning off your xmp or docp if you have turn it on before. If you have done all that an you still experience the problem try checking this video out ua-cam.com/video/F-dLBIomghY/v-deo.html and skip to 2:13 because i think your rams are not being detected properly

Hi. I've been looking for a solution for my problem, and this video is the only solid lead I have to my problem. I've been playing Halo MCC on my gaming laptop, and it's causing my laptop to crash with the game suddenly stopping and emitting a weird *brrrrrrrrrt* noise, after that my laptop restrarts itself. I've never had this problem before, and any other forums I come across with this problem has no conclusive answer. Please, help. I'm stumped on what to do next. Thank you.
so what's your cpu and gpu temperature while playing halo MCC? Usually the fans will spin faster to prevent overheating and that weird fan noise might be clogged with dusts causing overheat. Overheating will cause the system to shut down. The first thing you can do right now is to check those temperature using msi afterburner. If temps are too high in idle (around 60c) then im probably right. You might need to have your laptop clean in a local shop
@@SuperAlizul I have the samw problem with my pc, when I play game it will post a color screen with a long brrrrr sound.. and then it will restart. did you already fix yours? what is the cause?
So mine was apparently a wrong Bios setting or a poor cpu AIO cooler contact with the socket on my motherboard. I recently changed my CPU thermal paste last month, I retraced my steps, what I did prior to this happening to me. I fixed it by reseating my H100I AIO Cooler and I notice my temps went from a pervious 70+c range down to early 61+c range. I still don't know for sure which of those cause the problem. So far after doing this 2 fixes, i haven't had any PC hard crashes/ Blue screen since 2 weeks ago. I also did all the benchmarks stress test on the GPU, CPU, HDD, SSD etc via Furmark, Heaven Benchmark 4.0, Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility, Prime95 blend test for 12 mins ( Didn't want to go more than 12 mins because CPU temps were reaching over 90c+ on stock settings.) and lastly I did all the ram test with "Windows Memory Diagnostic'' & MemTest 86. All results came back normal. All that effort just to isolate a PC problem. What a big headache. Pardon my poor English!
Whenever I started playing games, it shut down immediately. But, when I watched youtube and doing stuff except games, it worked perfectly. What is the cause? Could it be my gpu need replacement?
If it works in desktop it’s a good gpu, I think you just need gpu driver update as well as windows 10. I suggest download msi afterburner as well so you can monitor your cpu and gpu temps
same thing with me guys...what the hell...i actually uninstalled my drivers-resinstalled to factory settings as recommended and still happens....i literally can't play any games anymore...but otherwise it works fine....if i start up a game. its runs for like 2 minutes not even and shuts completely down. SO DAMN FRUSTRATING...all my temps seems fine...the last thing i could think of is it's my power supply....i changed different outlets just incase one of my outlets was faulty...NOT the case...now its all turning to my power supply which is crazy
@@sleepsounds4408 I kinda figured it out how to solve this. You open the driver, then lower the clock Hz, and change the game resolution, graphic as lowest as possible.

Ps. My psu is 350w over recommended wattage
@@MacCoyzkie Also I think I have narrowed it down to a software issue, I’m sure it’s something refined within the bios, I’m gonna do some more experiments and debugging later I’ll update you
@@MacCoyzkie it did go well I was successful I went into the view reliability app on my Pc and looked through the data logs of what was happening at the time of the crashes, I found there was a warning on a file called AsusUpdateHelper every time it crashed, so I went to the file and found it was an outdated file and I had a new version of it for whichever asus app it was running in so I deleted the file and I haven’t had a crash.
Can storage also be a problem? My friend has a gtx 980 with i7 4th gen, 16 gb ram, and his pc randomly shuts down while we play games. He showed me his storage and he only has like 1 gb left in the storage. Not sure on what his power supply is tho

So I’ve had my PC for roughly a year now. Never had issues with it until now where after playing an mmorpg, Elder Scrolls Online, my PC shutdowns completely. I noticed that it only seems to happen when I’m discord calling friends while playing the game. Now I do play the game at mostly high to ultra settings, but even my friends who were doing the same thing didn’t have these shutdowns occur and they had relatively worser specs. After it occurring 3 times within the past day, I’ve tried monitoring and finding out the issue. I suspect overheating since running discord and many other applications while gaming would cause it, however my temps were relatively normal. Gpu temps were 50c and under , while my cpu would occasionally spike up in between 65c-71c. I suspect the PSU since It felt pretty hot after each shutdown, but it’s still a relatively new psu. I suspect maybe dust build up but I want to make sure it isn’t any hardware or even a motherboard issue. Specs are : Rx 6600 XT Ryzen 7 3700x 32gb ram 3200mhz 1TB 980 Samsung SSD 2TB 970 Samsung SSD Asus b550 motherboard Corsair 750w gold PSU
your pc specs are fine and i doubt it is a psu problem. Corsair has a very good reputation when it comes to stability. If there is anything i could think of, this might have something to do with the operating system, aka windows specially if you are using windows 11. Windows 11 has a lot graphics issues and i'm still not sure if its already fixed by this time and i need to check it soon. If you are using windows 10 just update it. another theory is the graphics driver, amd tend to release the so called "recommended version" but the truth is, its a beta test. amd has been practicing this for as long as i can remember, around 2014 i guess. They are letting their user test the driver and waits for them to pass some issue and before they can fix it. its really frustrating and its the main reason i switch to nvidia. Anyway DDU the current gpu driver you have, here's how to ua-cam.com/video/SvIJhcxZTsA/v-deo.html and if you can still remember the last amd gpu driver version you installed that didn't have any issues, i suggest install that one instead
@@MacCoyzkie I updated windows 10, and tried defaulting my bios settings for any case of over clock. Thought the issue worked but then after getting on Rocket League, my PC shuts down after a few hours of gaming. I’ve now did the DDU on my drivers and rolled back the drivers to the previous version to 22.5.1 for AMD’s software. I’ve also tried doing a OCCT stress test and noticed the shutdown instantly, after DDU to the previous driver, the OCCT so far can at least run the test. Hopefully it’s fixed, I will update the situation if the problem still occurs.
I think mine overheated or something. Maybe voltage is off? It just shut off while playing valheim 😭 now it wont turn back on! Not a peep out of it. Some lights on for the motherboard but gpu seems to not be lighting up red anymore. Idk. Bios led is alight on the motherboard. I think a component just broke.
that sounds like the psu gave up, i know it still lights up and all but that doesn't mean it is giving enough juice for the whole system. On the other hand this could also be your power outlet if there is any power fluctuation in your house lately. Try using avr or ups or at least borrow from someone you know that has one to test your pc out

My newly built sff pc had this problem, I had it running for about 12 hrs. No overheating issue since I have a sensor panel inside my case and temps never reached about 70c as far as I know. i hope you're not using windows 11, since it is the problem if so. If you're using windows 10 then this might have something to do with the gpu driver. I got the same issue before in my 3070ti so i did a display driver uninstaller link this ua-cam.com/video/SvIJhcxZTsA/v-deo.html and had a clean gpu driver installation back. Not sure if that'll work for you too but i don't see any reason for your pc to shut down other than update the gpu driver and windows as well
Got this problem for 2 years now. With a lot of in denial thoughts that the GPU is main problem, in turned exactly that. Lol. Trying to RMA my card. It wasn't overheating. The temps never got to 70C. I just had a bad card. It's not stable without undervolting it. But recently even undervolting the crashes happens way frequently now.
Replacing and upgrading the PSU was the first one I tried, but the problem was still there. My seller's technician can replicate my problem with his setup using the card I sent. It's kinda sad lol. Just gonna wait for the replacement card. Thankfully it's still under warranty.

Happens only in highly demanding games, games like LOL, valorant, rocket league work without problem. usually when you overclock and the voltage does not work this happens. I suggest for now clear cmos to run the system in default, you can do this if you are using windows 10. If you are using windows 11 you might need to set the tpm again. Btw windows 11 has a lot of graphics issues so if you are using win11 that might be the problem, not your pc hardware

I am in desperate need for help. I recently built a PC. It ran with no issues for 2 3 weeks. I was playing Borderlands 3 on badass graphics , Valorant etc. And it ran smoothly. But one day suddenly when I was playing Borderlands 3 I had a PC crash. The monitor went to "No input" and all the fans in cabinet stopped all RGB went off except for the motherboard and RAMs , the power button light stayed ON. I tried to press restart button and the power button too, Tried long pressing it, but nothing seemed to start it again or turn it off. Only when I switched the main power off and then on , then only it starts. Now this is happening randomly. It crashes in 30 mins even in idle and then every 5 mins after restarting. No overheating issues. GPU is not the culprit as I tried using a different one. I was somehow able to get it running for 30 mins in which I reinstalled Windows so that any driver related issues can be eliminated. It still crashed. The only thing left is to find out if my motherboard is the problem or PSU , but then why the motherboard and RAM RGB and power button stays ON? Can this be a PSU problem. (I really hope it is the PSU) because all other parts are very expensive 😭 Please suggest.
your system might need more power than what the psu can provide. So what are your pc specs? My theory is that your psu reached it's limit and now it's not working as it should. If your psu is 80+ certified it probably crash itself since it cannot provide the system power requirements. Btw you need at least 100watts headroom (Example system power requirements is 400 watts then you need at least 550 watts psu for the build, never go for 450 watts) on the other hand this might have something to do with your home power outlet not giving enough power for your pc, this usually happens if the electricity in your area is not stable so i suggest use something like this amzn.to/3A1siQJ btw rams lighting up and fans running doesn't mean that your psu is working fine, it might give enough power to light things up but not give enough juice for the entire system, to check use something like this amzn.to/38FmFLX

actually you can touch the heatsink even when the pc is on, not advisable though. I think your cables are loose and you have to check it all. when you touch the cooler, you might shook the whole pc causing some cables to disconnect. My theory is the sata cable on your drive/s check those as well as the psu cable power going in it

you might find the video helpful so i suggest watch it. Anyway another reason is that your game might be using a game guard of some sort and at times windows is preventing it to work. Make an exemption in the windows security, include steam/origin and the game folders

if you can hear your friends in discord still while there is no monitor signal continuously then this is a monitor problem or a monitor cable problem. try replacing the cable if so. the red light blinking you're talking about is the drive reading, if its steady you'll notice pc freezes. there are a lot of reason so you should watch this ua-cam.com/users/shortsY4hFqhbu5Rc ua-cam.com/video/JdDTLQbSRNw/v-deo.html

Few days ago my Laptop just shutted down I thought it was electricity problem and my laptop wouldn't turn on again then I switched power socket and everything went fine for about 20 minutes, same thing happen. I got spooked. I had to take a look inside and thought maybe there was problems with my battery, later turns out it could no longer hold normal charge... same crash happen... so I unplugged it... noticed lots of dust in the radiator (never cleaned it from inside for many years)... so my rig was really hot for the last year... especially with some super unoptimized scam games like bf 2042 and I realized that I probably was throttling like hell (we need some kind of flashy warning when throttling happens)... after cleaning Temp went really down by like 10-15C... but shutting down would happen during games aaaaand various stress tests... I can play factorio for example no problem. I lowered GPU's core's and memory's mhz and could play Satisfactory but in other intense games like Snowrunner or my favorite Nioh 2 I got crashes, in Monster Hunter Rise I could finish a quest though. It's all about graphics load. No artifacts or glitches. All hope for dying PSU. As it's really pain in the ass to fix GPU on laptop as it what most likely happen. If do chip reroll you gotta find 1070 GTX chip and master who would do it and it's another universe of problems. If it's PSU, then holy shit I dodged a bullet with super overheating and learned a lesson to actually get in there and clean this shitty dust. (I was always a PC owner). Sorry for a long read.

this has going about to all warzone players lately, i had many viewers who have the same issue even if they use 3080ti or 3090. in general, i think this is more of the game problem than a hardware issue.
How do u set higher temp limit?
MSI Afterburner should allow you to do that. After several more months of testing though, I haven't needed to change the temp limit actually so it may have been more down to not having the current Intel HD Graphics drivers installed, I have a large forum post about all the Apex stuff I tried that I'll dig up in a bit for you. These days I only really change to the Undervolting profile if needed, so less voltage is needed for the GPU and pumps out less heat over the Summer. Or back on default to heat the room over the Winter 😎
@@Darkness93 i tried to underclock gpu today and wow laptop stop switching off while gaming

I suggest use an AVR or UPS if ever that is your case

there should be a driver for it and will automatically speed up your fans if there is a heavy workload. But that will work too :)
for those who have an Acer Aspire 5, just press on the letter N on the keyboard side and put max on, enjoy :)
So I came back to my computer after a week, and it wouldn’t run an older game for more than 5 minutes, never had a problem like this for almost a year since I got a new battery and after getting rid of a malware and getting my rid of a ton of temp files, it still shuts down literally 3 seconds into a game
just one game? how about other games? try checking the cpu and gpu temperature and also if there is anything running in the task manager processes that could be eating a long of system workload.

either you have an old hdd installed in your pc or your home power outlet is not stable due to power fluctuation. If ever you have an old hdd installed, i'm talking about like 4-7yearsold hdd, you better start backing up the files right now since that is a dying drive sign you are experiencing.

Another one is you need to clear bios for now, try to do a hard reset by clearing cmos, just in case you don't know how to, well here is a video instruction ua-cam.com/video/S9hyEPTFR10/v-deo.html
after doing all of these suggestions i gave and still doesn't work i suggest update the bios to the latest in accordance to your cpu compatibility, having the local shop help you do this will be nice but if you can do it yourself then that will do also. just remember to plug the pc into a UPS and make sure bios update process will never be interrupted in any way or else this will make your motherboard unusable

as for the PSU, you better also check you house electrical route, VA and conditions
sometimes good PSU wont start because it detect anomaly / fluctuations
the alternative (and expensive) solution is you either bought a stabilizer, or bought UPS depends on you PSU with margin of 150 to 200 watts or with the VA that comes 2.5x times larger than your PC wattage
example if you had a pc with 850 watt, it is better to use an UPS with 1000-1200 watts, or 2000 VA

if you tried the rest of the parts (gpu, ram, hdd etc) except the motherboard with other pc and all works then that's how you know that your motherboard is no longer working. I don't think there is any other way

if your laptop was 2 to 3 years old then you might need to replace the cpu and gpu thermal paste.

I usually advice pc owners to use those things specially when electricity in their house is unstable. more info here ua-cam.com/video/WiF2f08jwe0/v-deo.html
now this is an advice, calculate your system's power consumption, use pcpartpicker.com/ and place all your pc parts there and you'll see the power consumption overall. There must always be a 100 watts headroom from the total wattage consumption of your pc. If your pc consume 450watts in total then your psu must be 550 watts or higher
I bought a cyber power pc about 8ish years ago, since then I have upgraded my GPU and ram it ran fine for about 2-3 years after that and I am now experiencing this issue. so what's your cpu and gpu temperature while playing halo MCC? Usually the fans will spin faster to prevent overheating and that weird fan noise might be clogged with dusts causing overheat. Overheating will cause the system to shut down. The first thing you can do right now is to check those temperature using msi afterburner. So mine was apparently a wrong Bios setting or a poor cpu AIO cooler contact with the socket on my motherboard. I suspect maybe dust build up but I want to make sure it isn’t any hardware or even a motherboard issue.

your pc specs are fine and i doubt it is a psu problem. Corsair has a very good reputation when it comes to stability.

But after I was done playing 3-5 games of Valorant and when I exited to desktop it suddenly shut off. I tried turning it on but it kept forcing itself to turn off so I waited a few minutes and it worked back again.
My specs are:
- 19-10900k
- Asus Z490-I
- GSkill 16gb RAM
- Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2tb
- Asus Strix 3070
- Corsair SF750W
Would you happen to know why this problem occurred?
i hope you're not using windows 11, since it is the problem if so.
But recently even undervolting the crashes happens way frequently now.
that has to be the gpu, or this could also be the psu low power draw
Replacing and upgrading the PSU was the first one I tried, but the problem was still there. My seller's technician can replicate my problem with his setup using the card I sent. It's kinda sad lol. Just gonna wait for the replacement card. Thankfully it's still under warranty.

Hi, i have a very wierd issue(pc specs below) where when playing pubg usualy about 10mins in my screen freezes and sometimes does the bzz sound, monitor turns black, keyboard and mouse turn off, but all my fans keep spining and rgb inside the case stays on(gpu fans drop speed) and only way to fix it is to hard shut it down and restart the pc. Happens only in highly demanding games, games like LOL, valorant, rocket league work without problem. This issue started 1month after i bought pc and eventualy how i fixed it was to drop ram speed from 3200mhz to 2933mhz and it worked fine since then no crashes. Untill yesterday where it started happening again(have recently started playing pubg again for few weeks now and it was working fine) tried droping the ram speed even further but it didnt help. I borrowed friends ram to see if it was bad ram and it happened again.. GPU temp is about 60C and CPU at 53C while in game. I have watched your other video where it described this issue and said it was bad ram but this ram works in my friends pc. Could it be that my mobo ram slots are at fault? PSU was changed recently bcs i tought it was the issue. I have stresstested the gpu with furmark and gpu as well for over 1h30mins and no crashes. Have the latest drivers and bios version.
CPU: Ryzen5 2600
GPU: RX480 4gb
RAM: 16gb gskill aegis 3200mhz
PSU: TX650M
MOBO: asus tuf gaming b450 plus 2
I'm really losing it after i tought i fixed it but the issue came back and i dont have anyone with am4 mobo to test if its really the mobo.
usually when you overclock and the voltage does not work this happens. I suggest for now clear cmos to run the system in default, you can do this if you are using windows 10. If you are using windows 11 you might need to set the tpm again. Btw windows 11 has a lot of graphics issues so if you are using win11 that might be the problem, not your pc hardware
@@MacCoyzkie I am using windows 10. Tried clearing cmos and memory without docp, had one game(of pubg) where it didnt crash and in the next one i crashed 5mins in. I have tried puting ram sticks in the other ram slots it still crashed(same with friends ram and it still happened). Tried loweing minimum and maximum processor state in power options like someone in comments mentioned also didnt help. Any other suggestions?
@@MaX_MaX1Mu5 just run things in default as of now until we find out what is the problem so clear cmos again to do that. Update windows 10 to the latest and i need you to DDU the current gpu driver, here's how to ddu ua-cam.com/video/SvIJhcxZTsA/v-deo.html then install the latest gpu driver from the gpu's website. Btw if you are using nvidia install the latest, if you are using amd gpu try using the previous version rather than the latest
@@MacCoyzkie have been busy recently. First i tried newest driver at the time 22.6.1. still crashed (i was still using the one that proved stable for me the 22.4.1. before the 22.6.1.). Cleared cmos again and instaled 22.5.1. driver but didnt really have time to test it, so in the mean time i also changed powersettings in windows to balanced (it was on high performance since i built the pc but i havent customized it) and changed the bios profile on my gpu(it has that little to switch between standard and overclocked bios) i have been running in standard for couple of months now bcs it proved to be more stable and back when i had this same issue before as it didnt crash as often. I have now switched it to OC bios (idk why really) and started testing. But i can say now after 2 days of like 8-10h of playing pubg it is stable and crash free for now at least(everyother app and game works good as it did befor these changes). Windows had been up to date already so i didnt have to do that. Its really wierd what is going on as i still cant put my finger on it why it was crashing. I will test the standard gpu bios in the comming days for more info on it. I just wanna say a BIG thank you for these sugestions, you are a life savior. :)

Btw you need at least 100watts headroom (Example system power requirements is 400 watts then you need at least 550 watts psu for the build, never go for 450 watts)
on the other hand this might have something to do with your home power outlet not giving enough power for your pc, this usually happens if the electricity in your area is not stable so i suggest use something like this amzn.to/3A1siQJ
btw rams lighting up and fans running doesn't mean that your psu is working fine, it might give enough power to light things up but not give enough juice for the entire system, to check use something like this amzn.to/38FmFLX
@@MacCoyzkie Hi Mac, so glad that you read my comment and replied. I believe I have more than enough wattage. I have Antec HCG X 1000 which is 1000W Gold Certified PSU
My system specs:

CPU : Ryzen 9 5900X (Not overclocked)
AIO : NZXT Kraken X73
RAM : 32 GB Gskill Trident Neo
GPU: Asus Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti OC version

Cabinet : Corsair 5000X
Cabinet Fans : 4 Noctua p12 redux, 3 corsair sp120
PSU: Antex HCG x 1000 Gold 80+ (1000W)
And also one time I tried Windows recommended troubleshooting where you need to boot into auto repair by long pressing the power button multiple times. There are small red LEDs above the power slots in my GPU which started to blink and which i read on the internet that it happens when there is problem with power.
@@PranjalChawda wow that's a badass build! Do you have retail or oem windows? The only thing i could think of right now is your wall outlet not giving enough power so using avr or ups may help. Other than hardware i think you should also check the gpu driver and windows 10 update

And after I connect the GPU which is GTX 550 where I though my gaming will probably be smooth already didn't go well I'm playing genshin which is not onto GPU and mostly rely on CPU.
Could this mean I broke my CPU?
well that will depend on what monitor you are running. if your monitor is 1920x1080 you should run games in low settings to have better fps. You could also lessen the resolution and increase the game graphics settings to have better fps. The pc is just fine you just need to adjust the game graphic settings

Hello today while i was gaming on my pc ... I was just checking on my ram and accidentally touch my stock intel cooler and i few moments later my pc just restarted itself and after that i cannot press windows button on the bottom left side of the screen and cant even right click on the screen to refresh because it doesn't pops out ... After rebooting it properly everything is fine again but i just wanted to know if i accidentally touch the cpu cooler might triggered it to restart ?
actually you can touch the heatsink even when the pc is on, not advisable though. I think your cables are loose and you have to check it all. when you touch the cooler, you might shook the whole pc causing some cables to disconnect. My theory is the sata cable on your drive/s check those as well as the psu cable power going in it

How do I open up my bc if it’s a solid color and the only screws are on the back we’re my vent is witch get super hoy
I'm not sure where you are coming from, are you talking about your pc case or something?
I bought a custom built PC and it started to randomly restart, so I got the whole PC replaced and still getting the random restart. Now it's pretty obvious it's the outlet where the power comes to the PC as when the PC restarts I hear a like a click sound when the PC turns back on, right now I'm testing with a different socket to see if I get the random restarts.
you need to have your house electricity checked, low power draw causes random restarts. You can also use avr or ups to confirm this
Hello mac. Any game i play my graphics goes to 90C and on desktop is 40C. So it's overheating and my pc turns off and i need to change the termal paste or it can be my psu? while i am gaming it's on 90c whole time and goes to 95 and in random time it drops on 60c and my pc turns off

bro that is too high, i would have close the game in 88c. anyway yes you definitely need to change the thermal paste, try using this amzn.to/3xWPvC0 or this amzn.to/3jqnzCF also set the fan curve higher in msi afterburner, double check your pc airflow since it might now be working well. This is not a psu problem but overheating only
Recently my pc has started to randomly completely shut down and restart automatically whenever I’m playing a game. Im very sure temps aren’t the problem. What would be the cause of this? Also another thing that happens is the pc stays on but the monitor goes black and completely loses signal and won’t connect to the pc at all so im forced to restart the pc. I haven’t fully watched the video yet but just mentioning.
you might find the video helpful so i suggest watch it. Anyway another reason is that your game might be using a game guard of some sort and at times windows is preventing it to work. Make an exemption in the windows security, include steam/origin and the game folders

I lowered GPU's core's and memory's mhz and could play Satisfactory but in other intense games like Snowrunner or my favorite Nioh 2 I got crashes, in Monster Hunter Rise I could finish a quest though. this has going about to all warzone players lately, i had many viewers who have the same issue even if they use 3080ti or 3090. in general, i think this is more of the game problem than a hardware issue.
