I'm currently using the evolvh ultra shine shampoo and conditioner (off your scorecard!!!)
Something I noticed last night as I was washing my face: my hair was so smooth and shiny it distracted me. So my stick straight, fine hair looks really good the evening of my wash day.
My own personal observations of the shampoo: it's clear and super thick, and I feel like have to use a fair bit to cover my scalp. It doesn't feel like it spreads well. Either way, it washes out fine and doesn't make my hair feel snarly.
Notes on conditioner: I feel like I have to use a lot to get it to cover my ends (my hair is just past my shoulders) and then I feel like it 'falls out' when I rinse. Having used premium conditioners, I don't mind 'working at it' to get the conditioner out of my hair. I definitely prefer my hair to feel more moisturized when I get out of the shower, but I'm trying to switch to clean hair products so I'll accept some imperfections.
Either way, out of the shower my hair is shiny, smooth, and my scalp doesn't feel dried out and itchy(which happened with the bar shampoo) so obviously the results are pretty positive!

I actually think your cut looks great! I’ve really loved Calia Natural shampoo. It comes from Canada and I live in the US so it takes a bit longer to ship. When I ran out I tried the JVN hair and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s quite a bit more fragrant (and probably not naturally so) but I was impressed with the ingredients and performance.

I'm currently using innersence organic shampoo for color treated hair. I like it but I don't love it. I don't think it cleanses my scalp completely even though I double cleanse. I may give the natureofthings a try. Thank you for the review! 💖✨

Yep- innersense wasn’t a big win for me, but some love it 💜

I have both of these. Evolve gives me a ton of shine but the nature of things is good when my hair feels particularly dry. My daughter doesn’t like the NoT even though her hair is curly it’s fine. So it leaves her hair feeling weighed down. My hair is coarse and wavy and it works brilliantly. I probably wouldn’t repurchase the NoT again unless on sale.

Interesting! Haven’t tried either of these, and might only try a sample of the Evolvh, though it has shea, which has been shown to be pore clogging, so I wonder how that would impact the hair follicle.
Nature of things seemed interesting, until I saw Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate, which I avoid.
Are you liking these better than any do the shampoo bars you’ve tried?

I am liking them, yep. Something about the liquid just feels better to me but it’s all mental. I’d dig into pore clogging ingredients fyi. I’m sure you have- but I heard from a cosmetic chemist that things like coconut oil received a bad rap based on a very specific test they did to create comedogenic scales- using the inside of bunny ears. I can’t cite anything, it was a brief chat, but it opened my eyes. Still, if it irritates, it irritates. Period.
Food for thought lol. Nature of things really surprised me 💜

@@BrittWitkin Great minds, my esthetician and I were discussing this yesterday! Just came across an article on Blissoma’s site about this…worth reading!

@@BrittWitkinYes there is a lot of research that was taken taken out of context or cherry picking some of the findings and bending towards marketing claims.
