Don't worry, we do not think you are complaining... you are just tired from working sunup to past sundown plus a toddler. Thank you for letting us see your day to day life. Kind regards 🌻

I never think you were complaining either. Goodness when you said it’s 9 o’clock at night and you were going to still go out and plant your garden. I got exhausted for you. I can’t wait for your flowers to come up.
Seing Tova lying her head on Mathias's shoulder and having his hand caressing her back conforts me a lot. Such a nice family vibe at the end of the day! Please never mind the bad comments, never! There are a lot of people around the world loving you and enjoying your videos, please don t forget about us! We re here to admire and support you Talasbuaners! ❤❤❤
What I observe in your family is integrity, this is what keeps me engaged, inspired and supportive of you. This path isn't always easy, however as you know, the feelings one has when they know they've maintained their integrity and the values that are true to their vision is immeasurable. I see a fine balance between fatigue and joy from you and I appreciate both. Blessings to your family.
I am very sorry to hear that you get negative comments. I will never understand why people feel they have a right to judge others. I think you are very kind and generous to share your lives. I enjoy your videos. I wish you all the best.
I couldn't agree more. Some people don't seem to realize that making videos is a long and laborious job; Mathias and Tova have a double job in fact, and they generously offer it to us. Some people seem to think they're entitled to everything, and I find this behavior very disturbing. I'm sorry to hear that too.
Judge others? Maybe it has something to do with recording themselves and publicly posting it on UA-cam for the world to see, lol. I hate to tell you, but when you do this, you invite the world to judge you. I don't judge people who live in private.

We know you’re not complaining. Just tired. The life you’ve chosen is hard work but oh so good!! As long as you feel it’s all worth it, then life is good!! Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to make these videos. Much love!!❤️
Reporting on daily activities is not complaining to me. I have lived your life and it is tiring and difficult, but mostly rewarding. I wouldn't trade one moment of those days. Thank you for sharing.
You and Tova work so hard running your farm. If you didn't get tired that would be very unusual. Just making these videos can be tiring. Go at your own pace. We, the followers of your family appreciate you for sharing your lives with us. Please know I'm very grateful. 😊❤️
Complain all you want,, it is actually comforting to know that we are not the only one, here in Alaska, that needs to fit a year's worth of project in 5 months (gardening, animal husbandry, building projects, etc.), which are May through September. We have a lot of similarities: vegetation (star flower), mosquitoes, long daylight = long workday. Feels good to know we are not alone living this lifestyle, so thanks for sharing.❤
I've never thought you were complaining. You both work so hard and have so many responsibilities. Hope you can get some well deserved rest. Blessings on your family.
i dont hear complaining - honestly you are just all so lovely, real, and informative - it's humbling and super enjoyable to be privy to your magic (and loads of hard work) lifestyle xoxo from nz
Hi! We are planting potatoes for 5 years in our homestead, tried no till - under the mulch of hay, tried to plant straight to the ground as you planted, but using a horse instead of tractor. Now we grow it, combining this two metods - we till the soil only in autumn after the potatoes, and in spring we just dig a 20-cm row, plant potatoes, a little cover it by soil, and then add a compost or some goose manure straight to the row, then cover all the row by soil. After the potatoes grow up to 30 cm from the ground, we separate the plant in center by covering the center with hay or straw. So, each plant separates on two, and it helps to produce more potatoes from one plant. Adding goose manure or compost straight to the row makes potatoes much bigger. I can find a links to UA-cam videos of this potatoes growing method)) Greetings from Belarus and good luck with your potatoes!
You are all so wonderful and I love your honesty and you DON'T complain a lot. Not at all. You both have grateful hearts and that is what delightfully comes through your videos. You make my own days brighter. I am grateful for you.
We had three chickens running around our fairly large garden. They got rid of all the moss and our lawn was wonderful. We never use chemicals in our garden to keep our bees happy.
I so enjoy learning about the regeneration land work that you are doing. It’s so interesting to see how each one of the animals affected in a different different way. Thank you so much for educating us.
I wouldn't listen to those rude comments. You work hard and reality is that you get tired. I appreciate your honest assessment of farm life. Also, I noticed that Ivar is left-handed! Lefties are creative people! I love seeing the two of you close and leaning into each other. Makes my old heart happy to see young couples staying connected. Much love to your family from Southern US.
I care for you and your family a lot. You have worked so hard all these years and your lovely little boy growing so beautifully. Keep up the great job, I love it
and i thought my day was busy, but it's good to have a full list of things to do rather than be bored with nothing to do👍🏼😀 ALWAYS good to see you guys and see how much Ivar has grown❤
You certainly do not complain. You are sharing the reality of a challenging but so rewarding lifestyle. You are to be applauded and overall respected for following your hearts and passion in caring for the place you are. Thank you! Susan
I'm so sorry people say things that are derogatory. We can see how hard you work and can understand frustration when everything you have to do doesn't get accomplished. You are 2 people doing the jobs of more than 2. You are doing an amazing job including raising such a precious child. God bless you all.
No worries….. it’s a blessing to get so much work done and be tired at the end of the day. You two are doing things right! Keep up the good work ❤️❤️. Thanks for sharing

The important thing is...the sheep ARE making a difference..small, but things are improving, thx to you. ☺️ I love how you pronounce DANDELIONS, sounds so much more eloquent. I love the idea of the chickens being in the fields, not only to improve the vitality of the ground, but i think they are happier in the sunshine. Potatoes aren't really difficult, they need minimal care, and just water. In the prairies they survive in dusty dry soil with a short growing time. They will be great 👍 Ive never once thought of you guys as complainers. Farm life isn't easy and you must be so tired sometimes. I am sure the benefits are something you enjoy every day. Thank you for sharing...as always.❤
I’m learning so much. Land management is important and we can all learn from your techniques. I know that your plate is full, I wish there was someway to give you more encouragement . I always ask myself what will I be remembered for, what legacy will I leave. It’s not monetary or possessions it’s how I instilled values in my children and how they carry it forward.
Real Life! For people that just sit at home and watch videos like to judge. I love the fact that you don't sugar coat your life and the how you live. Please keep sharing , Keep up the wonderful work that is being done.
Take no notice of people complaining i know how hard you work because i have a small farm as well and it is extremely hard work. I have 3 cows, sheep, goats , chickens, ducks and geese and Bees i grow all are veg . My husband works full time but helps at weekends but other than that im on my own. What an awesome life you all live in , this is truly what life is all about, I don’t believe in cities , I grew up on a farm in Iran 🇮🇷 I’m 91 now , but came to USA 🇺🇸 over 60 years ago 😢 I hate it here , when I watch your videos it brings me back to the life that I had 😢 thank you for sharing this, you make my day every time you post a video, wishing you and your family all the best and happiness ❤
Everyone complains a bit when tired but don't see a problem with that just part of the thought process when talking.im sure the people who comment that never ever ever complain the just happy jumping with joy all the time.good video.
When you complain you give us a true feeling of what it is like to live like you do. Your life is filled with very, very hard work. You have very few modern conveniences. You have very little money. If you were laughing and smiling instead of complaining, people would think you were crazy or taking drugs. I like to hear you complain. It allows us to better understand the hardships you are experiencing.
I agree every minute after chores are finished I think the home should be a priority Goodness your little boy will be full grown soon Believe me a Mom of 8 children the years fly by would be so comforting to have a home.
Watching the start of your morning as a family, with the outdoor kitchen and having breakfast, beautiful and simple life. Gives me hope for a better future. Good luck for all the projects and tasks 🤍🌿
The joy to watch Ivar grow, the joy to watch your videos, so peaceful and instructive... that’s all that matters. You can be proud of yourself : you are making a real difference not only on the soil and the biodiversity where you live, but also in people´s mind, showing us how to have a positive impact on our environement.
You can grow potatoes in a raised bed..cut some logs, make a raised bed, add rich soil, and plant away..raised garden beds can be used to grow anything..use sheep manure to make plants grow😊
You should never have to explain anything to your viewers who attack you for speaking how you feel. I don't hear complaining. Everyone needs to vent from time to time. You two are doing a great job. I am sure it's not easy running your homestead. I could never do it. I don't have what it takes, but that's ok. What makes us all so special and beautiful is that we are all different. We are human and there really are no instructions on how we should behave. God Bless You and your family.🙏😊❤️
I use a broad fork to prep my gardens. I bought it in the Amish country here in the US. I do not till either. Works well for potatoes. I also plant potatoes in my compost pile.
Hello dear courageous friends in northern Sweden! I felt such compassion for your hard day and lives and your courage and steadfast desire to make your life succeed off the grid. (it brought me to tears) Your everyday struggles to make your home and lives sustainable is so inspirational. Tova's beautiful smile, positive support and hard work is so true and beautiful. Your amazing intellect and ongoing knowledge for sustainable farming is so inspiring. (please excuse...I forgot your name!....Tova's husband) Ivor is growing into such a beautiful child of nature. Don't EVER, EVER feel the need to explain your work ethic or why you have done things the way you felt best. Few people could survive for very long in the location you have chosen. Keep on keeping on and hopefully your plans for the house will become a reality. Are there neighbors or family to help with all the chores and the continued building of your house? I will look forward to future videos....May you find renewed strength and success. Every day is a new beginning. (a friend in the U.S.)
Lambing is a beautiful time of year! Awe, 20:26: So sweet when the little lamb called to its mother. She came back: “My baby, I’ll not leave you!” Oh, my beating heart! Malva is such a comfort. Somehow the vibe of this vlog touched me like no other. You all work so hard. Many rewards are on their way. 🙏🏼🤗❤
We most definitely do not think you are complaining. We sit here on our lounge or in our comfortable beds watching you both exhaust yourselves. Those naysayers should try doing half of what you do. I doubt they could. ❤❤❤ with love from your friends in Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤❤
It is life and we have our ups and downs. You are not complaining, you are just expressing your emotions and how you feel. This is normal and we are human being. You and your husband is doing a good job working your off-grid life.May God continue to bless you in every area of your life together and give you the strength to conquer every struggles to endure. With God all things are possible.God bless you abundantly.
You're not complaining, just stating how tired you are after a hard day's physical work. It's the best kind of tired there is and this time of year is super busy. I hope you soon get to take some time off to play as well. I love your videos! Very calming to watch.
You are such a beautiful hardworking family. I remember when my father used to plant potatoes in our small garden here in malta, he used to cut each potato in approximately 3 pieces then plant them just as you did 12" apart. He ploughs the next row which automatically the soil will fall over to the planted row. I apologise if my explanation is not clear enough 😊
Hej, i dont think you are complaining. The life you live is not the easiest way but i can understand why you live this way, and for me you are much happier than most other people who have a 9 to 5 job. The other thing is living selfsufficient is hard work and a continious learning process, you can read so many books but what counts is experience. So keep going and thank you for sharing your lifestyle with us.
I enjoy your videos so much. Actually, I've never heard you all complain. I live in the US. I'm really impressed with your work ethic. The restorative farming is new to me. My moms family were farmers many year ago. Some of the grandchildren carry in the tradition
Stating what you need to do is not complaining. I know that perhaps you could use the time spent on editing videos on farm work, however I am so grateful to see the beauty of this lifestyle!!! Thank you!!❤❤❤
I've never seen any of you to be anything but happy! Watching this video takes me back to when you very first decided to start moving the sheep from paddock to paddock to start the regeneration of the land. It seemed complex and you didn't even know if it would work. Wow....look at it now! Maybe you could pull up the pictures from when you were first partitioning the land and do a side by side comparison. I remember how different it looked and I can see how much this means to you! It may take longer than a lot of people have patience for, but just like the land, no matter how long it takes your house will awe-inspiring! I love seeing the two of you work to together.....and then to see the looks on your faces when you discover your hard work has paid off......that's the best part! Too many people live in a "instant gratification" world. I think those are the ones who take issue with your videos and can't appreciate the way you live. 👍👏🙏💞
I don’t think you are complaining at all. I think you are providing us with a realistic view of the challenges of living your lifestyle. Here, people will lease their land to people with cows for a specific amount of time. The cows eat, trample, and poop in a controlled time frame. The farmers pay for this opportunity, and you would get the advantage you are looking for. Things are different in this part of the world I guess. Thank you for taking the time to show us your beautiful homestead and all it takes to make it function.❤️
We always planted potatoes on ground to clean it up and create structure. Pigs went on afterwards to till the ground. Watch out for build ups of eel worm. Horse nut beans would be a good follow on crop to lock in the nitrogen.
My husband and I absolutely love watching your channel. It’s so peaceful to watch. You are not complaining! You are just being completely honest and real. My husband and I have a small farm and it is very tiresome. Some days I wonder if it is all worth it. But at the same time I would never trade it for anything in the world. My advice is you will never accomplish everything. When it gets to be 9 o’clock at night, if you can go to bed and get some sleep. That way it will recharge your batteries so to speak!
Bless you. ❤❤ It's been a hard busi spring here too! Summer came too fast and that's why I have felt very overwhelmed. All the best and thank you for the video
Thank you for letting us have a glimpse into your beautiful and busy life. Thank you for the "complaining," it shows a realistic view of of life. I am so glad you give it to us rather than paint this pretend and perfect picture - although it does look pretty lovely from my standpoint. AND, the tail wagging of the lambs brings me such joy. Be well!
Hello and hugs to you and your family. I’ve been watching since before Ivar was born and absolutely love the content. You’re learning so very much and you share a “REAL” journey with the world. Your efforts are appreciated. Please continue sharing so honestly. I wish you all the best.
Your lives are so fulfilling… please don’t change a thing-Your family, homestead and animals bring such joy to so many, including me! Where there’s light, there’s also shadow… you’re keeping it real and we’re grateful for all that you share 😊
Thanks for your video! You are an example for lots of people who don't know what a life as farmers means. At the same time your videos are very interesting for those who have a farm. I am sure that, although it can be rough during the summer time, life in contact with nature is much more valuable and grateful than a 9 to 5 job in a city. Greetings from Kopparberg! 🇸🇪
Greetings from North Dakota in the U.S. All of you are wonderful and I love watching your videos . Such a wonderful place you have and working together as a family is very important to your success . I live in a very small town in a 103 year old house . I watched my grass grow up to a foot high and was kind of sad when I finally cut it . The wild rabbits liked to scurry through it and the bees liked the wild flowers growing in the mix . Wish I had a sheep to graze it , but don't think the neighbors would like it . 😅 Wishing all the best to your family and your success in developing your homestead .
@@jntd4160 It isn't a "negative" comment, just a fact. I guarantee you, come sit outside my house in the grass and "watch the grass grow" and you will be bored in 5 minutes, lol
@@ChillinDylan If you weren't so ignorant you would know that this about the successful regeneration of the land. You leave an awful lot of unhappy comments for someone who claims to be so happy. It's amazing how the truth reveals itself no matter how much you try to hide it.
You are in my thoughts every day! May the spring and warmth of the season bring you renewed strength and vitality ....May you be able to take the time to enjoy the new lambs and start further work on your house. Don't work to the point of exhaustion....take the necessary time to rest. Your videos and life are so inspirational.....(a friend in the U.S.)
Leaf Mulch has been productive for me to hill potatoes with, no till. I began with an initial till several years ago. Mushrooms are fruiting where I mix petroleum free sawmill dust, pine straw and leaf mulch. The underground network is healthy now. I built up the top layers with compost added to the mulch. Most of my bed amendments are done in the Fall with a winter rye or similar planting, early Fall. It’s working for me in zone 5, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, USA. I’m pursuing permaculture due to necessity and because it’s sorely needed across the Globe. Reducing work load and labor intensive tasks, and selecting the plants that thrive in a winter wonderland with little nursing. Set it and forget it planting essentially. Increasing perennials too. Farming needs to get easier as I age with challenges. Keep up the juggling and multitasking, SISU!
Garden suggestion (lifetime lazy gardener with too large of a garden LOL): in the fall, cover your garden beds with at least 6” of mulch (bark, grass, forest stuff, etc. - I also layer cardboard underneath. More is even better. Smother those weeds! After the snow melts, throw more mulch on and when you are ready to plant, just pull aside until you get to plantable earth. Find books by an American gardener Ruth Stout. ❤❤❤ Good luck.
I have been following you for a very long time and I love that your don’t over romanticize living a sustainable and slow life on your land. Many people make it look like all fun and games to live off the land and the bottom line- this lifestyle is hard, challenging and every evolving. I think you all do a great job of showing just that. Not many people want to work as hard as you all do as a culture in cities we have gotten way too soft. Working a job or two jobs is 8-16 hours a day. Working the land is 18-20 hours a day. I applaud you and your family for being so humble and showing us the reality of what your life is like. I really respect you so much.
We farmed for many years, raised hogs, cattle, chickens and we grew a big garden. I still remember being so very weary during some seasons….that’s farming! You’ll rest up when the snow flies, I hope so! Not yet!
I can see how intense and tiring your days are, although I also know how much you love what you do. Video editing is also so time consuming. May I say that the videos you produce are wonderful and bring joy, beauty and important information in our lives and I'm certainly very thankful and grateful for all you share with us through sweat, tears and lots of energy and time investment. Lots of love to the three of you 💙💙 💙
It does not seem like complaining to me! It is what it is, I think you said, Mattias . It is hard work but I am sure rewarding to raise your flocks, plant your vegetables and flowers and live so close to the way in which generations before you lived! Tova, I liked that you can use some of the wool for controlling the weeds in the flower boxes. While the amount of wool from the shearing is probably not very very great, still, it would be wonderful to find other uses for it in your homesteading ! Thank you for sharing your lives with us all.
Hi. I would like to say, everyone vents. Doesn't mean we doubt our life choices. We are here for you on the good, lovely, hard, tiring and everything in between. Be well. Light, love and laughter to your family. ❤ 🌞

You have a fantastic life. Many blessings
I love what you show us and what you have to say.🙏
I agree every minute after chores are finished I think the home should be a priority Goodness your little boy will be full grown soon Believe me a Mom of 8 children the years fly by would be so comforting to have a home.
You both look exhausted. Please rest when you can.
Your life is fascinating, built on hard work and dedication to the land, your animals and family. I admire you all so much.
Wonderful Life and Family 🌻
Greetings from Switzerland Bud
Thanks for sharing, hardworking!
I do enjoy seeing your days, you all work so very hard to get things done. Thank you for sharing with us.
It is life and we have our
ups and downs. You are not
complaining, you are just
expressing your emotions
and how you feel. This is normal and we are human
being.
You and your husband is doing
a good job working your
off-grid life.May God continue
to bless you in every area of
your life together and give
you the strength to conquer
every struggles to endure.
With God all things are possible.God bless you
abundantly.
Again and again, thank you and love from Lebanon 💖
You're not complaining, just stating how tired you are after a hard day's physical work. It's the best kind of tired there is and this time of year is super busy. I hope you soon get to take some time off to play as well. I love your videos! Very calming to watch.
You are such a beautiful hardworking family. I remember when my father used to plant potatoes in our small garden here in malta, he used to cut each potato in approximately 3 pieces then plant them just as you did 12" apart. He ploughs the next row which automatically the soil will fall over to the planted row. I apologise if my explanation is not clear enough 😊
Your description makes perfect sense!
I enjoy your honesty and love your family ❤️
Hej, i dont think you are complaining. The life you live is not the easiest way but i can understand why you live this way, and for me you are much happier than most other people who have a 9 to 5 job. The other thing is living selfsufficient is hard work and a continious learning process, you can read so many books but what counts is experience. So keep going and thank you for sharing your lifestyle with us.
I love this channel so much. Learning so many things. Hi from Northern California!
I enjoy your videos so much. Actually, I've never heard you all complain. I live in the US. I'm really impressed with your work ethic. The restorative farming is new to me. My moms family were farmers many year ago. Some of the grandchildren carry in the tradition
Potato field is looking great
Stating what you need to do is not complaining. I know that perhaps you could use the time spent on editing videos on farm work, however I am so grateful to see the beauty of this lifestyle!!! Thank you!!❤❤❤
Truth is always best ❤ Thank you for your honesty. You work hard and have a right to be tired.
I have planted a "lazy bed" for potatoes. Place potatoes on top of the soil and cover with thick layer of leaves. Water the bed. They grow well.
Farming the way you do is hard work .We do not feel you are complaining you’re just a busy couple on a homestead …thanks for sharing your life .♥️🇨🇦
🙂 Thank you. I see you are very happy when there is spring summer greetings
Be well!
I think the family is very beautiful!
I really believe that working in the field is very difficult. Thank you very much for this video 🥰
Greetings from the USA...Connecticut....love your channel...,your lifestyle. Nice to see Ivar growing up....and to see a new season...❤
The best example of living, thank you very much.
So so beautiful. I want to see this.u r very hard working people so simple and good people. God bless you.
Your not complaining somtimes its just hard whit all the work. And a house you whant to finish ❤ thanks for the content so nice to se sommer in zweden
The title of this video is simply wonderful. Thank you for another wonderful video.
I take it you haven’t sat outside and watched grass grow much. It gets old fast.
@@ChillinDylan Not as fast as negative comments.
You two are precious.....
Not yet!
Just one day at a time, things will get done ❤ How l love this family and lm loving Ivan,s very long eye lashes such a beautiful little boy ❤
Dandy Lion is very good to grow. The bees love the blooms, you can make a salad from the leaves and make Dandy Lion wine as well.
I love your family and farm life. Thank you for sharing with us. 💗
Lots of love to the three of you 💙💙 💙
Our family loves your family ❤
Nice video! I enjoyed no snow but lots of green, lambs, gardens and all things green. 😍
Always appreciate what your day to day life. Thanks
