I fully believe that Encanto is the next Disney movie that will become a Disney Channel series. Like what they did to Tangled, but Encanto is seemingly built for television. So many characters that can carry entire episodes on their own
I mean they're making a Moana Disney+ show, and a Cars show, so it wouldn't surprise me.

My little brother (who was like 7 at the time) did get that evangelion movie for Christmas one year because my parents had the "Cartoons are for kids" mentality.
Imagine their shock when they found out he got suspended from school when he brought that movie during his turn for Movie Friday.

Love Jack acknowledging that Encanto is mainly about generational trauma but immediately ignored it and was like "plot is just house broke now fixed".
I think he might make a distinction between plot and character development. Character development is internal stuff happening, plot is external stuff happening. If a movie is mainly about characters healing from emotional scars, he might not consider it as having much "plot."
Whomever edited that Baby Driver poster & changed Kevin Spacey's name to Poopy Stinky deserves a raise.

What I've gathered from this YIAY is that Jackfilm and Erin go full lizard-brain when watching movies
I honestly really like episodes like this where Jack will read off one of the comments and then go on a little tangent about the movie/game/show/whatever. I get to hear someone’s opinions on something without it being dragged out for too long or without it really interrupting the overall flow. It’s nice :)

All the music in that movie fit and was synced so well! The plot is just decent, but it's definitely a great watch.
The plug for In Space With Markiplier came out of nowhere, but I can't blame you for wanting people to know about it.

I went to see G-Force with my grandmother. I do not remember it. I feel like it was a perfect "forgettable" movie.

My mother and sister both watched Encanto, in the living room, with me and my sister's room neighboring it, and I was able to listen to the movie twice from their viewings (because I was in our room), and when I guessed what the movie was all about based on the two times I Audible'd the movie, sis told me I couldn't be more right

JACK I’ve been a fan from the beginning and subscribed and clicked the bell YEARS ago. A week ago I wondered why you stopped posting only to see a ton of videos that I had missed because apparently the algorithm knows what I’d like more than myself. Just pointing out that when I noticed I unsubscribed and subscribed again just to see if that has an effect on the algorithm and lo and behold this was recommended not even 10 min after you posted. Thought I’d share in case you see it because the current UA-cam algorithm is actual dogwater.

Not only around the concept of inversing things but also around the included words like Sator (the bad guy), Arepo (the painter), Tenet (the secret organisation and movie title), opera (the opening scene) and rotas (the freeport company and latin for wheel as in the inversion chambers).

I almost watched Evangelion with my parents. When it came out on Netflix I watched the first few episodes in the living room and they popped in every once in a while to see what was up. I never got to anything bad (I still don't know too much about the show) but I stopped because I thought "the original must be better. I'll wait and watch that." From what I can tell, I dodged a bullet
The show is mostly safe pre episode 16 but End of Evangelion (the movie) is something I would not recommend watching with your parents.

I mean....he does acknowledge the actual point of the movie, but not everyone is gonna relate to it. Plus Encanto is a character-driven story. So in a sense Jack's right, the literal only plot of the movie is "house broke. They fixed it."
Erin is right. Richard Harris actually had some understanding of Dumbledore's character. That other guy just comes off as an emotionally unstable jackass.
