I would say that he has seen how good you have taken care of his granddaughter and his great grandchildren. It’s is way of telling you just how much he loved and appreciated what you have done.
On that long drive in the orange truck, Mimi was saying goodbye to her husband. It took a while. I love when the barn cat comes and visits you when you're working. It knows who it's people are.
Meg, this isnt homestead related but..... I admire you and your demeaner.... your gentle spirit and the way you move within your family unit is so beautiful....
Meg I love the way you look at Ben while y'all are working together. It does my heart good. You have a beautiful family, thank you for sharing it with everyone
Sorry for your loss this past year. ❤️ I’m so glad you were able to spend extra time with your grandma. Making memories is extra important as the older generations can slip away so easily. God bless Hollar family.
So glad you had that special time with Megs grandmother. 💗 Her grandfather sounds like an equally special person. Very sorry for your loss. The gardens are looking great! Amazed at how Meg can put together such delicious and nutritious meals. So proud of all that you’re accomplishing.
Feeling your grief over the loss of your grandfather!!! Memories made were more important than you entertaining the masses! Prayers for the whole family as you continue to find your way through the loss! 🙏🙏💔💕🌹
I bet Mimi couldn't get enough of Buggy. I'm that way with my grandson, he's only 20 minutes away but I gotta see his smile on video chat everyday!!! 💖😊
Huge blessing from the grandparents! In a month you'll wonder how you managed without the Avalanche! Very nice garlic harvest, another blessing. Your cup runneth over. 😃💖👍
Thrilled you got to spend time with family....but I've missed you guys. Your channel is one of two that I don't miss! No silly stuff stuff just for content just sharing your lives. Thank you for sharing!
God bless your family, so sorry to hear about your loss. The real followers here will stick with you no matter what. Take time with your family if needed, we will still remain here.
Hello beautiful Hollar family!!! Just wanted to say that you are my favorite Homesteading Family! The kids are so wonderful and well behaved and hard workers including little miss cutie pie! I love your homestead,
Ben, make sure you stay hydrated, make some mint tea, cool it in the fridge, add some sugar and a pinch of sea salt and carry it with you. Also, keep your head covered! The amount of love you've received is stunning. It's such a blessing!
I loved the new editing skills that you showed off! Audio over action is a winner! Glad you have new wheels and I am so thankful you can share in the abundance of your family! The garlic drying method is so cool!!! Glad that you are back in the daily routine. I always look forward to a few minutes with the Hollars'!
There’s that orange cat. I see him in every video. He really loves following you. I forgot his name. The grand parents are probably pleased to know that their family Legacy is in your capable hands. I can’t imagine a better father and mentor to your children than you are. You are mentoring both the spirits, minds and bodies of your children. As a great grandmother, I can tell you that it means a lot knowing that future generations will share our values and will be a blessing to the world around them. Your entire family are good people. That is why I follow you and why that wonderful orange cat follows you everywhere. 😻🐕
Gotta admit... I 've got some Garden Envy going on. I can SO appreciate the huge amount of energy it takes to produce such an awesome Garden. Clearly the cat made a difference... 😽 Glad you're pacing yourself in that heat. Respect the bod! 😊
I've said on other Homesteading channels that I follow, this is the year of blessings. The Rhodes Family got their surprise calf, which provides extra milk this year and extra beef in the future. The truck from Poppy is the beginning of your family's blessings. I too have started to see my blessings begin. The world is reuniting and we are seeing her heal all the while we are learning to love each other again while we return to our roots of growing food and building stuff once more. I have missed your faces, but time with your precious Granny is so worth the absence from UA-cam as her time is the cherished memories we will always cling on to. My grandchildren in the picture you see, are my everything, and my husband and I are striving to get our own mini homestead to provide natural and organic healthy food for our future and for them.
Gardens are looking good. It's hard to come up with words when your wife's family shows their love and appreciation for you. No amount of words seem like its ever enough Ben.
I spent 3 days in the hospital with a heart monitor after my heatstroke when I lived in Texas. It's amazing how loudly my body will tell me when I get too hot now. Stay safe out there Ben and Meg! It's the humidity that'll get ya! The garden looks amazing! I love that truck color too, orange is a happy color and it doesn't hurt to stand out a little. Good to see you guys again too!
I m 64 live in Abilene,TX. I’m in garden at 0630 and out by 0830. Back to garden in eve at 1930 to dark. Only safe time with these 101 to 110 temps!! Stay safe!
There’s nothing like good grand parents… and I don’t mean the giving the truck… I mean THE GRAND PARENTS the ones you get to enjoy since you where a baby that you get to build memories with the unconditional love❤️ I’m glad you got to spend all this time with your grandma and I’m sorry for the lost of your grandpa … circle of life is never easy but the memories will stay for ever! And I’m sure just looking at the truck makes you smile up at the sky xx
Dang Ben, you made me tear up. Sorry for y'all's loss. I hope you've been able to process that in whatever way is appropriate for you. Much love to you guys! Keep cool.
Happy to see you back, and even happier you got some much needed family time. Sorry for the loss of your grandfather, losing those people in our lives is a hard good-bye. Bless you all ♥
You watched Red Farm and pulled your garlic. We watched you and pulled our garlic, and so the learning passes from one family to another. Pretty cool! Thank you (our second harvest of garlic and we had a similar outcome as you-thanks!) Now we are growing the comfrey to use that because our root veggies are not developed well. I can't wait to see how the comfrey helps change that. It is amazing to learn from each other like this.

Thanks so much for sharing. We pray that the Lord will shine His face on you and be gracious to y’all and bless you guys!!!
So sorry for the loss of Poppy, he sounds very wise knowing you needed to have a CHEVY to back up that ford and everyday you see their bright truck you will be reminded how much they love you all! BEST Mimi ever!!! Blessings, Jan
Mimi, you are my kind of woman! From one over-the-hill lady to another, much love. Now for something that has had me wondering... I kept waiting on the family dog to appear and finally, I figured out you all don't feel the need for one. However, the cat appears to have grown on you all, LOL! Love its unexpected appearances, great barn cat! Your garden makes me so jealous! Just wish I could get out there and garden, but the spirit is willing, however, the body ain't! Thank you so much for sharing. Stay safe.
You should feel very honored to be remembered by someone who is special to you and you to them, even if it is no more than a pocket knife that they used. Ben you are very deserving and I am sure very grateful. So glad you all had time with him before his passing and the time you had with Grandma this summer.
Ben, idk what's wrong with me, but now at over 60 yrs old, I cannot tolerate the heat anymore. My daughter has sent me home from the fairgrounds watching my granddaughter's pigs. I get splotchy red and don't feel good. I'm glad you don't spend too much time in the heat. It's dangerous💙
I absolutely LOVE how your youngest son is always helping you in the garden, even if you have to ask him, he always seems to be there🥰🥰 (I think he's your youngest boy)😁😁and I'm so ABSOLUTELY PROUD of y'alls gardens!! Ty Mimi and Pappi for helping your grand and great grandchildren out, we all love you and send heavenly blessings to your Pappi🥰🥰
I can't tell you how much joy I got from moving back home when the pandemic hit because I got to see my Grandma many many times before she left this mortal coil to be with our heavenly father. Enjoy the grands while you have them folks. You won't see em for much longer til you reunite in the next life.
Great video as always! Glad your family spent the time with Grandma, precious memories made I'm sure! You come from good stock Meg, her driving all that way! Lol Sounds like your Grandpa was just as special!

Was hoping your absence was a positive thing. "Grand" people are important, be greatful you have them. Your garden looks amazing can't wait to watch you harvest all those Tomatoes!!
This brought tears to my eyes. Not only did I find it touching that Meg's grandmother drove all the way from California to bring her husband's truck but also that her name is Mimi. I just recently had a friend named Mimi pass away. She was a facebook friend. I never met her in person but we've sent each other things in the mail. She was from San Diego. Sorry not good with names, but that young man helping you with the garlic and Tomatoes is a hard working future first class homesteader. You can be very proud of him and all your kids.
How great is it that Meg's grandpa left you his truck...and grandma drove it all the way across the country to you. I can see where you would think there are just not enough words to thank them, but believe me they now how much it means to you. I wish I could say my tomatoes were doing as well as yours. This will be my last year to fail. I have 2 tomatoes on the Cherokee and none on the other three although we bought good sized plants. They probably cost more than I will even spend on purchasing them in the store this summer. I just didn't get the gardener gene. Y'all have a Blessed day.
You are not our entertainment only. We may not know each others names, but we all consider you friends. This lifestyle is about Family, Community, and Love. Put those first always.
I loved your music included in this video….very very nice! That was so sweet that your Grandmother drove the truck to you guys….such a caring thing to do!!

This will be my last year to fail. I have 2 tomatoes on the Cherokee and none on the other three although we bought good sized plants. They probably cost more than I will even spend on purchasing them in the store this summer. I just didn't get the gardener gene. Y'all have a Blessed day.
I for one sure do miss you when you don’t post videos. Blessings on you all!💕🙏🏻💕
You are not our entertainment only. We may not know each others names, but we all consider you friends. This lifestyle is about Family, Community, and Love. Put those first always.
Poppy knew what he was doing by gifting the truck to you. Mimi is quite the rockstar for driving it out to you.
