    OMG! Chris, I just made them with salmon, and it was awesome! I am ketovore, so I put a little Dijon mustard, garlic, and dill and made a dill dipping sauce, and no one could have known it was ketovore! Thank you very much!

    Just look at the various ways people are using this recipe. These are unbelievably tasty. I made ours using some chopped up, leftover double smoked ham from Christmas, sharp cheddar cheese, a few chives and some caiun seasoning. These were so good. Everybody has got to try these because you just can't imagine the texture and the taste. No one would ever know that these are super low carb which can be completely carnivore, or can be made ketovore or keto depending on your lifestyle. Great great great! 😋😋😋👍

    Wonder if you could press these flat with parchment paper like your potato chips, have them set, and make a tortilla for empanadas then deep fry it

    • @ChrisCookingNashville
      @ChrisCookingNashville  12 днів тому +1

      Pressing flat isn’t an issue. Getting them to hold their shape before cooking so you can stuff them is the problem. If you cook them they’re not going to seal. If you don’t cook, they’re a paste, and you have to figure pit how to get them to form shape. Starch and gluten will hold shape when not cooked, which is then the challenge to replicate with these kinds of recipes.

      The issue is not just the liquid egg white, which can be overcome with yolks, but the binding effect of the egg white powder as well. You’d have to create a totally new recipe to eliminate egg whites from this dish.

    Hmmmmm....wet batter for frying chicken tenders/nuggets or fish?

    This might be a stupid question, but could I do 7 Tbsp of egg white powder instead of the 6 and 1? I can’t find any beef isolate protein near me and I don’t believe whey protein will fall into my diet.

      Unfortunately no. You’re going to end up with a rubbery scrambled egg if you do that.

    Wow, just WOW! Do you think this base could work to create a keto/carnivore/ketovore scrapple? I have been missing scrapple incredibly and almost bought some (phew didn't after all) but the struggle is uber real.

      I hear ya on that. I can’t say as I’ve only ever had scrapple once or twice. But I’ll see what I can come up with based on some research. 😊👍🏼

      @ChrisCookingNashville There's a huge number of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and Virginia scrapple fans with Pennsylvania Dutch food ways who will surely enjoy it! For me it's the ultimate comfort food.

      Yes that’s why the price has doubled or even tripled in many places. More than once I’ve seen labels at the store where the shelves are empty stating supplies are low.
