The domes on either side of the turret are for the tank commanders coincidence rangefinder. Also, just keep in mind when doing your weathering process, the fenders along with the sponson boxes and air filter boxes, are aluminum and thus should not have any rust. If there is damage like a bent fender, or ding/ dent on a sponson box, you may find some paint chip/ paint flaking off of the aluminum. Love your work!
5:30 thats the old optical gunners system. the bulges are on both sides and you lay on the target. since there are two optical sights, the gunnner collates the two images until they overlay perfectly and that gives you the range to the target

But this is a 'A3 so the bulges are for an LRF.
