I live in iredell county on the border of Alexander county. Close to the Hiddenite Emerald mine. I always find some cool gems and a little bit of gold. Great video.
Shannon, how cool is that?!! The only thing better than gold is gold and gems together. I've been to Hiddenite a few times over the years but never had much luck. I did go to Mason's Ruby Mine in Franklin, NC back in early June with my daughter and we dug out several sapphires and rubies.
Do you come across any amethyst where you are at? If memory serves me right, my grandfather found some nice amethyst crystals somewhere near where you're at
I got the package earlier this week! That was some nasty pay dirt; it turned the water so dark I had to dump it out to see what I was panning. I took some video but the audio sucked so I'll just do a quick run through about what I got on the next vid.
Hey buddy, great video. I live in Clemmons, and Muddy Creek is basically in my backyard. It's fed by the Yadkin River and several other sources. Lots of bends and plenty of bedrock exposure. I have been trying to find out if and where any mining on a commercial level has been done on this creek. Just started getting into prospecting and have been doing my homework but haven't yet gone out to give it a try. If you know anything about the creek, I'd really appreciate any advice, and if you have any suggestions for a better site, any information you give me that produces any gold I will happily split with you. Believe it or not, I really am a man of my word, and you can take that to the bank! Literally! LoL! Regardless, great video and I actually learned something! 😊
Howdy neighbor! I've never been in Muddy Creek but I have been in a creek that feeds into it and there was some teeny tiny gold in it. See video "Old Timers Eyes" for more info. That's about all I have that might help. Good luck with your prospecting 👍
I live in North Carolina I have a creek on my property with a couple natural waterfalls I have a ton of black sand I see some pyrite in the sand is there a chance that there may be something down at the base of the waterfalls or if I go down to the rock bass underneath the sand
No, I deal in grams total in a year's time but you should watch Bryan Wilder dredging in Chicken, AK if you want to see ounces. His channel is American Prospectors.
Lee just bought some land in Avery County Nc.next to the N.Toe River. There is a small feeder creek on my property.Have you looked in that part of the state and is there gold there?Land is rich with quartz and mica shist.
I have read that there is gold in Avery County but never had the chance to check out any creeks there. Would love to check out that feeder creek sometime! 🙂
Nice work! Hey Lee, have you ever tried prospecting down in the uwharrie river? I was doing a little scouting this last weekend and it looks like it could be feasible in some of the shallow stretches. I wasn’t sure how productive it is though.
That's where I got my first flake of gold and I've had gold fever ever since. There's gold there but the amount if black sand is unbelievable. I haven't spent a lot of time in it because it's hard to work. I would love to get in it on private property with my dredge if the opportunity ever presented itself
Yeah, that would be nice. If only. I picked up a gold reaper sluice a few months ago and it can take a lot of material without a cleanout. I may get down in the river and run as much material as possible and just take the cons home. Can’t hurt to try I guess.
Hi from Fiji, enjoyed your video. Beautiful location in the forest. Thanks for sharing and I have subbed you as well, Natalie 👍😎
Thanks Natalie! How hard is it to find gold on the Fiji islands panning and sluicing?
Nice little spot 👌
It certainly was a pristine area. Just me and the bugs that day!
Nice "Bits" innat hole, Lee. I did a similar thing this weekend, but mine all ended up with mercury on 'em!🤣😎
You gotta hate it when gold gets turned silver. You gonna burn it off?
Nothing ventured, Nothing Gained, Lee! Knowledge is most important!👍🍀🦾⛏️🇺🇸🎯
Right on 🎯
Nice gold lee bet you wish the water was more clear but that’s small creeks for ya have a good one ⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏
Yes, I always like working in clear water but I was just glad to have enough to pan with in August 🙂

@@LeeHendrixGold I'm actually not sure. The gems I gatherer I take to the Hiddenite mine and they haven't said anything about Amethyst.

I admire your perseverance in the murky water.
But the result is not bad. Greetings Peter 👍🏻

Gotta love chunky gold🤤 Great work there Lee👍👍
Thanks 👍
Nice results Lee! You sniffed that gold out. Watch out for them snakes
I've been lucky avoiding the snakes this year (knock on wood)
Nice gold from that lil spot man. Good thinkin.
It's one of the few times that logic actually proved out. It was probably just a coincidence 🙂.
@@LeeHendrixGold lol I’m pretty certain you aren’t givin yourself enough credit 😆
wow lots of water, I have a spot with no running water just puddles, the deep spots where the gold hides
Yes, getting to the gold can be a challenge. I had the luxury of clear water up creek to wash out in

There's a good possibility. What county are you in?
I'm coming through in few days from rochesterny i95way any gold d areas off the thruqay
It will be pretty tough if not impossible to find gold that far east.
Do you think you'll get 1,2 or more ounces this year?
