Spring has sprung in NC. Great outing! Pretty day! Beautiful creek! Nice yellow smile in the pan. Thanks for the video. June is right around the corner.
What a great day in the creek! I had fun in Asheville this weekend, but didn’t get any gold out of the ol’ Broad. Looking forward to this coming weekend hitting the creek with the wife. If you’re out there, too, let me know and we may stop by 😎🤔
I hope you find a shovel that will fit your wife's hands. I'm actually headed on a mini-adventure too that I hope will produce some orange gold and garnets. Keep me posted on your finds 👍
@@LeeHendrixGold dang ticks. I always bring bug spray with deet when I go there. It helps but i have to apply 2-3 times per day. The ants still bite though
It's about time for you to be hitting the creeks too. Maybe you'll snag a big Chinook in your sluice but that might be bad because of all the gold you would lose and it might attract a bear 🤣
which direction did you go to Hannahs trail or robin's branch tail to the creek in this video? I'm from west virgina and don't know nothing and never been here. i might try it one day, thanks
I think a ranger has the discretion to write you a ticket if he or she sees you using one. I think in most cases you would receive a verbal warning first though. I don't think that using one is going to give you much of an advantage. I've never gotten a picker using one and I do better with a shovel
I was told by the Ranger but I couldn't use my yabby pump he said it was mechanical and I couldn't use it I'm from Gold Hill so I don't have far to go to Uwharrie Mountain be careful mr. Hendrix I don't want to see you get a ticket using that thing if you find out different let me know because from what I was told I couldn't use it
I'm not sure how a yabby pump is any more mechanical than a shovel or a rocker box but it never helps to argue with Rangers or ex's because it just raises your blood pressure. It's best to hide and make Bigfoot noises until they go away. 👀

Yes, this year is flying by. I hope we can connect for another dig when you return in June!

@@LeeHendrixGold Yeah, man. The wife has her hands full with me already, so I’ll be doing all the digging for sure 🤣
Great work fam. Loads of fun. Gold squad out!!!
Thanks 👍🏼
Awesome outing. That's definitely a great place. Not everyday a fish blast though your sluice. It probably washed that nugget out of the sluice.
Yes, luckily it was not as big as those other two or it probably would have knocked out some gold 😩
I wish I could run through the woods like that and catch fish with a sluice you're a true outdoorsman. Nice video Lee 👍
Thanks Paul, I do like being outside if the biting insects and other things leave me alone 😂
The chigger threat is real lol. I also enjoy Robbins Branch Trailhead. Anything over a tenth is a good day in my book. Good job there Lee!👏👍
Yep, I found a deer tick on my back last night. Can't imagine where I picked that up at 😂

Yeah, I guess I'm gonna have to start putting Permethrin on my clothes 😒
Heckuva Nice Job so Lee! ( Phishin',& and Sluicing)‼️🍀🇺🇸🦾⛏️👍
Thanks Lester! It sure was a nice day to be in the creek.
Nice spot! Lots of gold and not many black sands
Yes, not really much advantage to using a sluice over a pan there which makes some of the still waters areas more attractive to me this summer.
Always wanted to see a fish go down a sluice lol & gold 👍🏻👍🏻awesome

Nice! I can't wait to get my Living Sluice down there this fall :)
Yeah, get in the right spot and it'll sparkle like a Christmas 🎄 😁
You found a really good spot good luck
Thanks, it was neat to hit good gold in the first spot I checked. That doesn't happen very often for me. It's usually test, test, test.

I didn't know you could use those kinda suction dredges in there.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't knocking on you, I think they should be allowed but I know there's alot of contention around the subject.
Fish was awesome
Thanks, that little gold Nemo gets ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If I were to argue the point though, is a snuffer bottle allowed? Of course it is. Is it less mechanical just because it is smaller?
that fish was trying to steal your gold! sure it wasn't a gold fish??
That carp you caught yesterday could've stolen a whole ounce 😂
that fish is after your gold it must be a gold fish lol
🐠🤣
