FINALLY GOT A NEW FOREHEAD!

- So the time has finally come, my last surgery in what has been probably the longest journey of my entire life. When my accident first happened in Vegas a few months ago I had some complications with one of my surgeries. As a result of that I had a really bad brain bleed and the only way to fix that was if the removed the front portion of my skull. As you all know I have been pretty excited to have my skull put back in, but I ended up getting a plastic piece made perfectly for my head to put back in because my original skull was to badly damaged in the crash. The surgery went great, I have some footage of before and after the surgery, and then Big Boy came to check up on me and you guys will get to see the end result at my house. Its crazy think to think that this was the last major thing I had to do other than just recover, but it is so awesome to see myself in the mirror again with my normal look. If you guys have any question for me and the Big Boy about the entire experience we are doing our first live stream tomorrow at 4pm to answer any of your guys questions, so be there! Usually after any surgery, u still have the general anaesthetic in your system which causes nausea. So factor that in with a car ride/ plus the pain from surgery, doesn’t make for a pleasant ride

It's 3 years later and I am finally watching this video, I've been a subscriber for probably 5 years and I couldn't bring myself to watch the video. I was too scared, though I've never met Scotty I have been a fan since way before his channel and when this happened it felt like it happened to a brother I was devastated. I'm so happy how far he's come in these past years it's literally amazing, Scotty has the willpower and mind of a Samurai. He's a legend And accomplished everything he could in BMX, now I love how he's turned his new challenge into his channel and BMX announcing and everything else he does, bmx or recording or announcing Scotty has that same drive and mindset. Also big boy has changed since the accident he's still a kid at heart but he's grown up a lot. Matty was always quite and kinda had a pessimistic vibe before Scotty's accident, after the accident you could see a change in Matty as well, now he's super happy and optimistic all the time and seems to just enjoy everything more. Despite not being able to ride at his old level Scotty's accident has changed a lot of people for the better and that's just his close friends that's not including all the fans that he inspired and still inspires.

I had the same thing done to my left arm and during that time I sat up in my room every night crying because I never thought I would have an arm again and went to surgery and got a bionic arm saw ur videos now I feel so much happier and think my arm was nothing compared to ur injury

If I had that scar I would travel places and tell my story. Your a warrior and a fighter. If people stair or is scared tell them its OK and tell them your story. My dad fell back onto his head a few years ago and had a brain bleed. interestingly the only major effect is that he can't smell anymore. Head and spine injuries are definitely the scariest out there, but as you said it's sadly part of the sport. Keep fighting on the recovery man!!

I have PTSD from a bad accident back in '99 that triggers the nerve damage in my leg. I've had a few instances while watching you recover but for some reason this one was the worst. I wish I could be taking the pain for you, but since I can't just take solace that at least one other person is "feeling" this whole thing with you.
Please, PLEASE make sure that you are pushing yourself to work the hardest on the things that are the hardest for you (if I remember correctly it was your right hand that was mainly lagging). I know it sucks to do it, but it's so worth it and you only have so much time to fix it as much as you can. You got this Scotty, keep your head up!
Honestly, Scotty is the positive dude out there. Who else could go through a wreck like that and multiple surgeries and still say "At least I go a free haircut out of it." I don't even ride or know anything about BMX. I found this channel from one of his GT-R videos and had no clue who he was but I quickly realized how kind and genuine he is and have watched every single one of his videos because of that.

Oh my gosh this is LITERALLY the same thing I got or many people get to lower their forehead/hairline but with the 2 stage procedure with tissue expander. Like they cut out my skull too and reshaped it a bit. I’m documenting the whole thing and I’m only post op day 3 and post op day 5 I finally get this tube out. Ugh I feel you so much. His accident was terrible that's for sure. But just imagine what an exclusive opportunity we get. We will be able to see a professional rider to learn riding the bike from zero skill, but tons of experience and knowledge. I'm so looking forward for Scotty getting back on bike. That will be a unique and exciting adventure!
