@@TripleXclown Beakers are rare... and I play on 200% loot abundance. (TBF I think something is weird, because I modded in an item that should have a 100% drop rate in tier 5 chests, but its not a guarentee there....) :P

Hold O(for playstation)/B(for xbox) for a radial menu to get around the menus (armor, map, skills) quickly Also, it's a good idea to carry wood spikes in your inventory even on insane difficulty it does enough damage and slows zombies enough for an easy win

A good tip for new players is to stock on old sham sandwiches. They give 15 food, which is a lot. They give a disentery chance, but using vitamins (which are really comkon) negate that, which gives just a -5 health penalty.
Especially the first few days. Taking a vitamin will prevent the dysentery completely, so sometimes if I'm really hungry I'll pop a vitamin before doing a harder quest and eat as many sandwiches as I can hold. And I'll have vitamin to ward off the infection while clearing the POI.
Where I’m from we call this the Sham Slam, vitamin and slam as many sandwiches as you can 😂 nah, I think eko made that up. Someone around his streams I’m sure.
Hahah I loved the first trader Rekt interaction :D. He said "wipe that smurk off your face" cause he knew that you're about to see 2 crucibles that you will never be able to afford :D
For the console newbies, if you hold down the menu button it will bring up a menu wheel, just move the joystick over to the menu item you want then let go of the button to open the relevant page, also you can hold down one of the shoulder buttons to bring up a different wheel that has your equipped items, this makes UI navigation much quicker.
Always welcome to see updated 'How to start out' videos. Extremely boring for experienced players, but often new stuff pops up with each update. Thanks Prebuilt!
Thanks for this Izzy. I found a Beaker fairly early too, so it seems the luck has improved. Acid seemed more abundant. A cooking pot alluded me, just as I finally was ready to make a forge, I found a pot of course. Knowing which houses usually them have would help time wise. I am enjoying playing solo because now I have to understand everything - my hours in the game were usually spent cooking and farming in a general sense, so I have a lot to learn
I’ve started over quite a few times because it’s fun, but honestly, I have rarely made it past the second hoard night. I need to practice base building.
I go to the wasteland on insane to embrace my insane arrow/bow addiction. I put myself on fire for damage (jumping breaks legs, sometimes) and feathers(vultures) come to me!

Those damn horde wolves are something else. As a console player that was definitely a surprising encounter when I'm on my roof and suddenly joined by a cuddly wolf just wanting some pets, so much so that he made a new hole in my house to come say hello lol
I like to use the first few nights to look at the challenges and try to knock them out. The XP is decent and some of the rewards are pretty good as well.
+1 to the general screeching about the busted RNG. Everyone will have moments like that sooner or later, where the loot just turns bonkers for no reason at all. I suspect there's some kind of probability underflow in there, where the game tried to modify the chance of something spawning below 0% and it wraps around to near 100%.
Hvaing about 1000 hours in 7D2D, and recently jumped into version 1.0. Got a Grill, Beaker and Cooking Pot in one room. I am on day 7 now and have 2 Beakers and Cooking Pots, and 3 Grills. Not sure if loot drops improved with 1.0, but this never used to be the case, so I count myself lucky!
I’ve played this game on and off since 2018, but I still love watching videos like this. I even pick up some tips that I had no prior knowledge of, like how heavy melee attacks put a slight pause on stamina regeneration.
I love the zoom in on water and food. Like those things are microscopic down at the bottom. 12 yrs of alpha and at least 12 different UI layouts exist but TFP still refuse to move off this tiny ass bar.

For console players when trying to interact with items in your inventory hold down the traingle/y button and then use your left dpads (the arrows) to either quick craft, equip, etc
There's currently a glitch in the console port that NAMED (stuff, things, etc) chests have a chance to delete the contents. Be careful until it's resolved.
Started yesterday with friends, crafted Primitive outfit thinking it was a whole outfit and not actually just a body. Thanks! We have a hard time finding food and water, going to watch further.
I actually tried to buy a crucible by day 3 once. I spent the first 3 days collecting flowers and put all skill points into better barter. By the end of day 3 I've gathered 3 stacks of each flower type except the goldrush flower but the max dukes I got was 9k even with the candy. Still 2k short cause the crucible was 11k with discounts. Not sure if it's actually possible to get 11k dukes by the end of day 3...
tip: 8:52 as mentioned in the vid select the honey quest reward. what's not mentioned is it'll highligh the tree stumps for you similar to how it highlighted the wood & stones earlier.
If you're on console you can hold O to bring up a radial menu to open the map quicker and if youre in the inventory or crafting menu you can hold triangle to bring up the shortcuts to craft scrap drop and track recipes
Good introduction to 7 Days. Should warn new players about wilderness traders, had two such on the same random gen map, and spawned next to them in 2 new games (same map). Triple pocket mod & beaker! We'll never see that again on Day 1, ever.
That beaker find reminded me of finding two of em on day 1 when i first came back after years for 1.0 Here I am multiple playthroughs into 1.0 and have not found another beaker i havent bought.
Once you get your containers, what you can do for your first night in a house is to start gather ressources by breaking household items. Since I'm a builder kind of player, I like to stockpile wood and stuff for later.
Yep - you get a lot of good stuff cleaning out a house completely during the night. Perhaps it's wise to set up a little melee area with a hatch at a door because making a bit of noise breaking down things - even when crouched - can attract the occasional nighttime zombie or two. That way they will come to you rather than bashing on any other place.
Console player here, I don't know if this is helpful, but on controller, if you press the select button I believe it opens your map, and B opens your inventory. You can use either LB, or RB to navigate the menus more quickly. For quick crafting you can hold LT and press the corresponding controls on your dpad. And for quickly moving things from your inventory to containers press on the right joystick. Hope this helps someone.
Like a genius, fell from a decent hight and broke a limb. While I was walking, I felt like I was walking faster holding W & D key. Tested it myself. It's faster by about .5 a second per 10 seconds.
The 1.0 loot seesaw is kinda wild. First game I found 2 beakers and rad removers within the first 7 days. Next world haven't found a single one but found four triple pocket mods in the first 6 days. Not kidding.
Watching this video and I’m at the part with the beaker, I just walked into my first home on day one and found a pot next to fireplace and a grill in the cupboard, I didn’t find those until day 4 or 5 last playthrough😂
I kept my starting note in hopes 1 day Fun Pimps will have a use for it... but not in my inventory, I'm not a savage! no, I just nicely tucked it into a miscellaneous crate 😁

If this is a teaching series does that mean you will bg building dreaded horde bases? For new players information @24:37 when Prebuilt is finding the location of his cache from outside the house. He finds it by using the quest marker in the top right corner of the screen giving a distance to the container and walking around the outside of the house to find teh shortest distance.
Zombies are REALLY bad at finding you at night when you are sneaking. Unless you have heavy armor or something. Put stones on your hotbar, as throwing a stone will attract zombies and they will run toward where the stone ends up. Put building blocks on your hotbar. If combat seems likely, or if you want to kill a zombie, put two blocks underneath yourself, upgrade the top one and simply bend over and melee from your height advantage. The zombie will not get to you. Even on insane this is perfectly safe for most 1v1 zombie fights. You can instantly pick up building blocks, so you can leave a safety pole and an access block nearby so you can jump up and remove your ''step''. Hawaii zombies and the fat ladies have a lot of health, so maybe avoid picking fights with those. At night there are feral zombies. Using this strategy killing a feral is also fine. But a feral hawaii zombie will take a long time to kill and you will need to repair the block, so it is better to just move those zombies out of your way by throwing stones. Nights should be spent doing productive things. Chop wood and stone if nothing else. Loot mailboxes and cars. Clear nearby poi using doors or holes in walls to kill zombies safely. Keep your stamina relatively high at night. You can run away and then start sneaking and very likely zombies will loose track of you.
People do something similar to harvest Bottles of Acid from those white medicine cabinets after finding the magazine for it: open container, leave items inside, break container, enjoy the double harvest.

I would say double looting the kitchen to be very useful early game. At least until you get a cooking pot.

Love the intro for newbies. It's all good advice, but the only thing I would add is to put at least two points on Parkour.
It's always fun when the game defaults to easy with an option for very easy.
Personally as soon as I switched to nomad everything just felt...right.
So nice to watch you play and at least pretend to enjoy it and not taking shots at the game every 2 minutes.
It never hurts to stab the zombies with a knife, even without agility builds. Build bleed stacks!

I would like to know, what to do when I'm completly new to the game, and I just got hit by a Zombie, I'm infected so what can I do to heal myself of that? Otherwise a great video.

If this is a teaching series does that mean you will bg building dreaded horde bases? For new players information @24:37 when Prebuilt is finding the location of his cache from outside the house. He finds it by using the quest marker in the top right corner of the screen giving a distance to the container and walking around the outside of the house to find teh shortest distance.
Zombies are REALLY bad at finding you at night when you are sneaking. Unless you have heavy armor or something. Put stones on your hotbar, as throwing a stone will attract zombies and they will run toward where the stone ends up. Put building blocks on your hotbar. If combat seems likely, or if you want to kill a zombie, put two blocks underneath yourself, upgrade the top one and simply bend over and melee from your height advantage. The zombie will not get to you. Even on insane this is perfectly safe for most 1v1 zombie fights. You can instantly pick up building blocks, so you can leave a safety pole and an access block nearby so you can jump up and remove your ''step''.
Hawaii zombies and the fat ladies have a lot of health, so maybe avoid picking fights with those. At night there are feral zombies. Using this strategy killing a feral is also fine. But a feral hawaii zombie will take a long time to kill and you will need to repair the block, so it is better to just move those zombies out of your way by throwing stones.
Nights should be spent doing productive things. Chop wood and stone if nothing else. Loot mailboxes and cars. Clear nearby poi using doors or holes in walls to kill zombies safely.
Keep your stamina relatively high at night. You can run away and then start sneaking and very likely zombies will loose track of you.

People do something similar to harvest Bottles of Acid from those white medicine cabinets after finding the magazine for it: open container, leave items inside, break container, enjoy the double harvest.
