EDIT: apparently there are a couple pieces of text that "pop" into existence. I spent like 3 extra hours fixing them the night before releasing this, but I guess that's what I get for using davinci resolve. I hope you all can forgive me for my sins, I will never fail you with this lack of professionalism ever again.
EDIT 2: A few gamers have pointed out that it IS possible to beat CB without using 914. This is 100% true. If you're a God Tier Gamer (not me), you can use 106 to skip to Heavy Containment and get the 04/05 cards from there in 049/106's rooms respectively, completely bypassing the need for 914. Funnily enough I should've thought of this since I basically do this route anyway lol

soooooooooooooooooooooo did you switch to the easiest mode? Cause you have 10 inventory slots, and your game does save. And in the pause menu it does say Difficulty: Safe.
canonically your guy is indeed an scp, the saving ability is an anomalous effect. you were demoted from level 4 to d-class and nobody realized you had the ability until you get one of the endings.
im pretty sure there is a paper in the oriignal scp cb game that refers to some spiral that makes your guy immortal and let him ''save the game''. From anyone elses perspective he perfectly goes out from the foundation in super fast time, atleast recontaining a few scps while doing so
@@theultimatetrashman887 yeah batesee goes into more depth but the note is a black and white repeated over and over in a spiral shape with the center of the spiral saying gray, implying that the experiment the player character did without authorization( hence the dclass demotion) fused his perspective with ours. so while he isnt aware of the 4th wall unless you get a cup of that from the vending scp, he is able to see things like we do when he dies since we dont die with him giving him unlmited do overs.
The D class is recontained, he just redefined his own containment procedures to getting bitches
I like to imagine the protag goes on to be re-promoted and used as a specialist (in the ending where he's recaptured at least)

@newmeta2668 they don't have eardrums either. They notice movements by spikes that are all over their spine. Sounds and movements create soundwaves, so these spikes just catch soundwaves. In a good scenario, they will be aware of 066. In worse scenarios, 066 or 939's would kill/harm each other. 066 is still capable of hurting spikes by resonance, and 939's have teeth and claws.

@aperson7257 yeh, that's the canonical reason you can save and the saving is even further canonised in one of the endings where they consider classifying you as an scp since it looked like you dealt with everything with so much efficiency it was like you had done them many times before. Love that part of the games lore

@@arinnn the scp foundation usually tries to recontain it properly, but if its too much of a risk or simply too difficult they may just nuke it, but only if they know what happens when they nuke it

4:33 It is actually possible to beat the game without 914 as exiting 106s pocket dimension has a chance to spawn you next to a level 3 card. (I.e the room next to the broken elevator in HCZ) from there you can obtain the level 4 card in 049’s containment and the level 5 in 106’s containment chamber. I actually did do a run like this to avoid SCP 049 early in LCZ.
Funnily enough, that's the route I normally take when playing this game since I also like to avoid 049 spawning in LCZ (mandatory for THIS run, also). I don't know why I never thought of the fact that 914 is straight up optional with this route lol.
It's also possible for it to softlock you somehow when you get to Heavy without a high enough keycard.

The first time I found out you start coughing from the gas leak in 939, it caught me so off guard and I literally sat in the elevator for like 10 mins to see if I was going to die bc I thought I must have gotten poisoned by something prior to going down there and wanted to know if I needed to restart (I got the blurry vision from the gas leak super early too, so it wasn't just the coughing but both things), it does eventually kill you but it takes forever and then you just get a message about there being a gas leak down there on the death screen. It's nothing to worry about in casual runs bc of how long it takes but the coughing and blurred vision is honestly a nice touch to make it more challenging.
When that happened, I was worried that *somehow* the disease book got me infected even with the jade ring equipped, because I spammed the notebook fairly shortly beforehand.
I always kinda forget about SCP:CB until another video randomly pops into my recommended, and then I remember how cool Unity breach could have been then i get a little sad.
Scp deserves so much better in terms of gaming. CB is awesome but I like to fantasize about what an scp game would look like if it was made by a larger company with a massive budget

I'm so happy to see any SCP:CB content, that game is so damn cool. Every few years I check it out again, and use console commands to check out any cool shit they may have added.

By the way, there absolute IS a pair of NVG's in the 939 tunnels, it's just in a different place.
Near the 3rd 939 by the 'exit' elevator, if you follow the loop that 939 is doing, you will find a facility guard corpse with the NVGs laying beside him, similar to how the Level 1 card is found in the 2nd 939's area.
Yeah I remembered a little while after this run lol. There was some other mod I was playing a long time ago that had items moved/removed and I had constantly been thinking of that one.

In one of the Gate A endings, the alpha warheads blow up the entire facility. That would ostensibly count as containing every SCP (Aside from 682 I guess)
096 would literally just survive hes almost as unkillable as 682,he just isnt tried to get neutralized as often because he can be contained succesfully if they get rid of all pictures and footage of his face and trap him in an airtight room,while 682 can adapt to anything so if you feed him enough strengths he literally just becomes immortal
@@eulfrisky I mean 096 can be neutralized, thats by having it fight with 682. he almost got killed by the fight but the council have to intervene to avoid them getting killed.

Subject showed extreme signs of loyalty towards the foundation, he possibly knows his origins.
The subject saved 46 times, and through the cameras in the facility we've determined he has died 12 times.
In that time he recontained 18 scps, sometimes recontaining SCPs multiple times, and outsmarted Epsilon-11 designated "Nine-Tailed Fox"
At the last second, when our troops were order to hold fire and to capture the CD, he outsmarted us again.
Turning off remote door control, which not only recontained SCP 079, but also stopped us from entering the facility.
With no knowledge of the fact all SCPs were recontained, and our Nine Tailed Fox operatives not reporting.
We decided to force our way in.
Operatives entering the facility encountered no SCPs other than SCP 066, and 096, that of which were recontained swiftly.
All known info on this incident is to be redacted to Level 4 clearance and above on a "Need To Know" basis.
The council is currently deciding the fate of the SCP.

... *well...* I think you technically can. Hear me out-
SCP-106 can leave a large black puddle in the floor of Light Containment Zone as an environmental hazard, jump into it to get into the pocket dimension and try to escape. This should bring you to Heavy Containment Zone, skipping the entirety of Light Containment Zone.
You should pop out in either the little storage room with the elevators, or 106's room. The storage room has a medkit, level 3 card, alongside some other supplies. 106's room has a level 5 keycard, if you don't spawn here, you can open the door with a level 4 card that you can get from 049's chamber.
Now that you have a level 5 card, the rest should be relatively simple. Recontain 008, turn off the door controls, talk to 079, turn them back on, and escape through whatever method you please.
You don't need SCP-500-01 for the skeleton key if it spawns in 409's room, I did this on my first run, just sneak around the railing and grab it through the railing and if you do it right, you can skip getting the pills. If your screen blurs and you get the achievement then just reset.

I was about to say that SCP managed to put our player character in a d-class cell, but what if he had those abilities before that incident?
@@СергійСавелов he probably did because of the spiral research and o5 council didnt like that and so he was later demoted, the fact that he cant remember much items but he views them as familiar in 1162 implies that he wad probably first secretly wiped out his memory, then demoted and put into the cell, but the unauthorized research of the spiral might've been what caused its save/load abilities
The first exposure to this game I had was watching a playthrough of someone who themselves was new and it is sooo interesting how the different playstyle affects how scary it is. Because you don't really care and know your way around, it becomes suuuper chill and wayy more like a normal game compared to someone who doesn't.

In 1:19 you said that no one had tried and done this challenge, I appreciate the hardcore approach that you bring, but unfortunately this isn't true there is an amazing UA-camr called @thebatesee who has done all kinds of challenges on this, but this shouldn't take away the achievement done by you in the video, infact this is still an hardcore feat to achieve, so amazing job

those secret intel popups stay up for half as long as they should i have to keep pausing the video.
Technically you CAN beat the game w/o 914. you just have to have some luck with where you spawn out of the pocket dimension and hope you get spat out by the level 3 card where the medkit is in heavy, or 106's containment cell where level 5 is. then its just a matter of taking things slow and easy and being extra careful with movement and its p much gg's
I got transported there in a keter speedrun, I did die to peanut shortly after but it relieved me that I got taken that far into the game on my, like, 5th keter run
@@Felityo ive done a number of runs, the one on my channel now is the fathest ive gotten, that one miffed me so bad to the point im taking a small break, but i WILL finally beat keter once and for all. i want to prove that i cant only just speedrun and save scum for a good time, but also take my time and actually do well with the game
