@@masonclark2102 There is no such thing as a ,, perfect ,, boss , that does not exist and never will but I will not disagree that the list they made wasn't very good at all . I know a lot of things are subjective but there are many picks in the games that they have picked that I have played that I disagree with . God of War 3 - Hades was just a better boss than Zeus . Bloodborne - while Lady Maria was a great boss , the best bosses of that dlc and the game overall were either Orphan of Kos or Ludwig , those 2 bosses are some of FS's best bosses ever made . Obviously I have already mentioned Messmer .
2020 was a fantastic year for bosses. The Rat King, final boss of Ghost of Tsushima, Sephiroth in FF7R, Hades in Hades. A monumental year in gaming for sure.
I don't care about spoilers of any kinds / media. Most of these bosses I never fought due to not having an interest in their games / having the console it's on; with Exceptions being: 2003. Darth Malak (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I haven't played this game yet due to the console it's on); 2006. Stallord (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess); 2007. Sisters of Fate (God of War 2; I haven't played it; / any of the games in the series since I don't have the console it's on); 2010. Zeus (God of War 3; read 2007's response); 2011. Mr. Freeze (Batman: Arkham City, I haven't played this game yet); 2014. Masked Lumen (Bayonetta 2, I haven't played this game yet); 2017. Monk Maz Koshia (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild; I haven't reached him as of yet; doing side quests @ the moment); 2018. you know, this variant of Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom, has given him a samurai look, and when he uses his demon king form, he takes on the appearance of an Oni, it's quite fitting don't you think?
Messmer was FAR better than Consort Radahn. Messmer had an awesome moveset, tragic story, and didn't have the infamous 1-2-cross slash attack Consort Radahn had.
I'm loving all the salt in the comments complaining about the 2023 pick. Deal with it. Although, I was expecting Rafael or someone else from Balder's Gate 3 for 2023 so I wasn't expecting Watchmojo's pick which surprised me.

@@temi472 I disagree as Radhan was not even the best boss of the dlc , it was Messmer ( this actually is the majority opinion on the internet in almost any video or poll done , not just my opinion ) . Radhan was harder sure but not better . Rellana from the dlc was also better imo . Wukong legit had better bosses than Radhan with Erlang Shen being the best in that game . Nine's Sols final boss with the true ending which had 3 phases ( Eigong ) was a better fight than Radhan imo .
You know what’s sad? The inescapable passage of time. I can’t tell you how many hours of my life I spent playing Metal gear solid 3 back in 2004. And my friends loved Kingdom Hearts and never played final fantasy. I loved final fantasy and heavily disliked kingdom hearts’ gameplay. This was 20 fucking years ago. There are human beings gaming right now who weren’t even born when these came out. Now I know how Atari gamers feel.
Just because a boss is the hardest in a particular game doesn’t automatically mean it’s the best boss. I think Messmer and (especially) Bayle the Dread are much better Elden Ring bosses quality wise than Consort Radahn despite the fact that they are not nearly as difficult as him. In addition, the secret final boss of Black Myth Wukong Erlang Shen is a far better boss than anything in the Elden Ring DLC Radahn included. This is again in spite of him not quite being as hard as Consort Radahn (though he certainly came close).
Actually amazing picks here, Roxas fight was incredible. Gameplay wise, Soundtrack wise and story wise, One of my favorite KH bosses ever, And Nameless King one of my favorite Souls bosses ever, The build up to his fight was so good.
spoilers for legends arceus i think volo was the best and hardest boss i've gone against in years. i wish pokemon games had that kind of difficulty consistently
Consort radahn is a bad boss, He has an unfair dificullty and made just to be Hard. However no matter how much hard the boss is doesnt mean its fun as it.İf you disagree with me just play Lies of P and fight with laxia.laxia is a very hard boss however she never feels unfair radahan. Thanks to her honest dificulty with her moveset makes her a realy good boss fight
@@jclkaytwo True and that is mostly cous they didn't want to oversaturate the list with it but it easily could have been . 2009 - Demon's Souls ( Old King Allant ) 2011 - DS1 ( Ornstein and Smough ) 2012 - DS1 DLC ( Artorias or Manus ) 2014 - DS2 + all dlc ( Darkluer , Sir Alonne , Fume Knight ) 2015 - Bloodborne - they chose Lady Maria but Ludwig and Orphan of Kos are better bosses . 2016 - DS3 ( Nameless King ) 2017 DS3 DLC ( Slave Knight Gael ) 2019 - Isshin which they chose 2020 - Could have put some of the inner versions of the bosses which are superior if they wanted 2022 - Malenia which they chose 2023 - Armored Core ( many options to choose from ) 2024 - They chose Promised Consort Radhan but Messmer is the best boss in the dlc . If they wanted they could have easily done this but I don't think people would have been to happy with a list like that overall since it would be 80% FS games lol
@@blabla-fw9ix and it also easily could have been 2011 - return to dream land (magolor) 2014 - triple deluxe (queen sectonia) 2016 - planet robobot (star dream) 2018 - star allies (void termina) 2022 - forgotten land (fecto elfilis) surely at least one of these warrants a spot on the list, especially with the idea that they didn't want to oversaturate FS in mind.......
@@jclkaytwo The majority of the world does not consider Kirby games to have the best bosses ever made or to be the best bosses of the year , which is a stark contrast to FS games . The quality of FS bosses especially the top tier ones are touted as some of the best bosses ever made for a reason yet I don't hear the same sentiment for Kirby games like ever . By that logic they could have picked any franchise and put a boss from a game from it as the best boss .

Agreed Messmer was a better boss. Absolutely perfect fight, clear readable not always dodgeable moves.
Wasn’t expecting Nintendo to have the most representation here. That’s pretty cool.
Some great choices. One of my favorites is Chakravartin from Asura's Wrath. Others might see that game as not good but I loved every moment of it.
2017 should have really gone to Slave Knight Gael. Best bossfight of the Dark Souls series by far
2020 was a fantastic year for bosses. The Rat King, final boss of Ghost of Tsushima, Sephiroth in FF7R, Hades in Hades. A monumental year in gaming for sure.
Wow this is actually an AMAZING list. Good for Watchmojo, they have been quite controversial in the last few years but this is hands down a good list.
I don't care about spoilers of any kinds / media. Most of these bosses I never fought due to not having an interest in their games / having the console it's on; with Exceptions being:
2003. Darth Malak (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I haven't played this game yet due to the console it's on); 2006. Stallord (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess);
2007. Sisters of Fate (God of War 2; I haven't played it; / any of the games in the series since I don't have the console it's on); 2010. Zeus (God of War 3; read 2007's response);
2011. Mr. Freeze (Batman: Arkham City, I haven't played this game yet); 2014. Masked Lumen (Bayonetta 2, I haven't played this game yet); 2017. Monk Maz Koshia (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild; I haven't reached him as of yet; doing side quests @ the moment); 2018. Doc Ock (Marvel Spider-Man; I haven't played this game due to it being on a console I don't own, even though I'm a fan of this game);
2021. Raven Beak (Metroid Dread; I haven't reached him yet); 2023. Demon King Ganondorf (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, I haven't reached him yet);
Not having Midra's first form is a crime.

The End (mgs3) is my favourite boss fight ever.
you know, this variant of Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom, has given him a samurai look, and when he uses his demon king form, he takes on the appearance of an Oni, it's quite fitting don't you think?
Yeah I would say it’s one of the best boss designs in the series
@@lagzie2301 I know right?, plus the cutscense in the game gives a anime vibe, don't ya think?
Gow Baldur
Gow ragnarok thor
Black myth wukong bosses
Vergil
Uncharted 4 final fight
Yakuza 0 bosses
If any GoW bosses were to be included, it would be either Sigrun or Gna
Stellar blades bosses are better thank wukongs 🤣
@JMstudios7 yes stellar blade great game also great bosses
@@TheMiddlingGamer King Hrolf Kraki was also a fantastic one , probably the only boss rivaling Sigrun/Gna in quality .
@@blabla-fw9ix Him too.
The Baldur and Thor fights were cool thematically, but mechanically and gameplaywise they were pushovers.
2020 should have been Hades bossfight from HADES
the jump between 2001 and 2002 graphically is insane
Handsome Jack was a challenging and entertaining fight along with the warrior
Boosteroid improved my gaming experience by a lot
Imagine being nerfed twice while waterfoul dance goes untouched
2020 was fatalis...come on mojo
Messmer was FAR better than Consort Radahn. Messmer had an awesome moveset, tragic story, and didn't have the infamous 1-2-cross slash attack Consort Radahn had.
Baldur's Gate not being on this list or neverwinter nights is a crime
I know it’s already a FromSoft heavy list, but not having a single Dark Souls boss is crazy
FFXVI/God of War Ragnarok/Bayonetta 3/KH3 > Elden Ring (DLC included) and Tears of the Kingdom
I hope your sign was meant to be the other way...

Yeah but hey, still a good fight
I still remember the fight against dark eater medir he was very though, strong attacks and high health
Well, proud to say I did beat the non nerfed Consort Radahn.
But it did take everything out of me
Not adding any JRPG bosses to this list is insane
Why do we always start with the 2000s? I know vintage is vintage but there's still stuff from the '90s good
2023 was the year of Raphael boosfight in BG3, and 2017 had a lot of better choices(including Gael)
I'm loving all the salt in the comments complaining about the 2023 pick. Deal with it. Although, I was expecting Rafael or someone else from Balder's Gate 3 for 2023 so I wasn't expecting Watchmojo's pick which surprised me.
Bro didn't even include GOW Ragnarok, Final Fantasy 16 & Black Myth Wukong Bosses💀
Verdugo was my strong memory taking on.
Aint no way bro unironically claimed Consort Radahn > Messmer💀💀
I don’t think any boss fight this year can rival the Galian Beast in FFVII: Rebirth for me.
2001 I’d put Yunalesca from Final Fantasy X for that year!
The stranger fight in gow is at the top of my list.
This years boss HAS TO BE Count Louis from Metaphor Re Fantazio
2000 - Scorch (Spyro: Year of the Dragon)
2001 - Mundus (Devil May Cry)

Final Fantasy 16 is the game were the bosses are always peak, and Zelda is on its place????
Breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom?
ganondorf is actually super hard
Yakuza 0 kuze boss fight where your in sewer and kuze comes after you with a steel pipe and motorcycle and kiryu first instinct is to tank the hit.
In my opinion, the best boss of 2016 is Star Dream. Why did you forget to include him?
kirby as a whole is sorely missing from this list.
And imo it was the Nameless King from DS3 .
Ign approved list
Not having a Black Myth Wukong boss fight for best of 2024 is comical and expected from yall because y'all wasn't fans of the game
Black myth is great, but none of the bosses are as great (subjective) or popular (objective) as radahn tbh
@@temi472 Erlang Shen from Black Myth Wukong is a MUCH better boss than Consort Radahn in nearly every way

I knew BOTW would win 2017, but I think Hollow Knight is more deserving. Most of its end game bosses are better than the monk imo.
Metal Gear SOLID: Revengeance...Oof, the pain of the incorrect subtitle.
im surprised sigrun or gna not make the list !!!
Ganon over Venom is a debatable pick
I agree with most of these choices. Some of the games you chose were absolutely terrible though. While most are icons.
Melania is a must for every bad ass boss list who will be remembered for years to come.... just ask let me solo her
Putting Doc Oc over the Valkyrie Queen in God Of war is a big miss(2018).
Radahn? In the time it takes for FromSoft to make another best boss of the year, then maybe i'll have beaten his first phase.
2005:Vergil
2007:Roxas
2015:sans
2016:nameless king
2017:the devil(don't know about hollow knight)

Actually amazing picks here, Roxas fight was incredible. Gameplay wise, Soundtrack wise and story wise, One of my favorite KH bosses ever, And Nameless King one of my favorite Souls bosses ever, The build up to his fight was so good.
Erlang might be tied with Sword Saint Isshin as my new favourite boss of all time. Very glad you mentioned him
2009 i prefere lazarevic in uncharted
Kingdom hearts 1 was squaresoft not square enix they did not merge till 2003
im a bigger van of messmer but black myth wokong should be on the list
Out of all the bosses in bloodborne why choose lady Maria? Seems totally random, like why not Ludwig or orphan of kos?
What about Jin vs lord shimura?
2018 should've been given to Baldur in God of War not Spider-Man
Would have had Skyward Sword's Koloktos over Mr Freeze in 2011.
I beat Pre Nerf Radahn Button 👉
Twilight Princess boss fights are more fun than Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom .
How the hell is the great mighty poo on this??
2004 MGS III Snake Eater The Boss
i would prefer great sage broken shell than radahn purely on gameplay
Gael dark souls 3
Bahamut from Final Fantasy 16 shouldve won 2023
No Bahamut or Titan from FFXVI is diabolical
Bahamut in FFXVI should have gotten the 2023 spot. The Ganondorf fight is really good but it isn't as epic and the second phase is cheap as hell.
Or odin in ff16 bc the fight is a mix between eikon battle and on foot fight and very reminiscent of Dante vs vergil fight in devil may cry 3

Consort radahn is a bad boss,
He has an unfair dificullty and made just to be Hard. However no matter how much hard the boss is doesnt mean its fun as it.İf you disagree with me just play Lies of P and fight with laxia.laxia is a very hard boss however she never feels unfair radahan. Thanks to her honest dificulty with her moveset makes her a realy good boss fight
