That 22lr barreled action, this chassis, a Dead Air Mask22, and a Trijicon Credo 2-10x36mm would be a freakin amazing hunting setup... I know I'm late to this one but I love that chassis and definitely going to be picking one up!!!
Also the shape of the forward most internal weight pocket has changed slightly so that they all take mostly the b weights and c weights as opposed to 3 sizes. All orders for elements are now 4.0
Gavin, I’m thinking of rebarreling a R700 from 243 to 6mmBR or Dasher, but I’ve heard there are troubles with the mags. Did you have to do anything to the mags or is the Dasher long enough to work in the mags? I have mine in a xlr element (2nd gen) chassis.
I really dislike adjusting my XLR. To adjust length of pull you have to take off the cheek rest. Until you use one in the field you don't realize how annoying it is the stock doesn't lock when folded. MPA is a much nicer stock with way better finish and attention to detail.
I’ve always tighten the rear action bolt more than the front or tighten them the same but doing it your way seems interesting (tighter front not so tight rear) Have you made a video of the difference between doing it all 3 ways (tighter front, tighter rear, both the same) to see if accuracy changes ?
I bought 1 of these chassis for my christensen arms mesa 300 prc with carbon forend and carbon grip and carbon stock I think it's like 21 oz toatle wich is damn near 1 pound lighter than the factory stock

Please do a review with the chassis and 6.5 PRC. I want to put my savage 110 Ultralite on one. Side note on the Savage. For me its been the most impressive off the shelf rifle shooting factory ammo I've ever shot. I can't wait to see how much better it will be with hand loads... although its sub moa already shooting the Hornady precision hunter 143gr eldx!

How'd your Cerakote job come out? Mines and my cousins cane out shitty as hell.he'll.. Sent mines in for a recoat.. ended up sprayed 2x... still came back shity. Still under sprayed and uneven coatings like they trying to save paint. Wtf..Just gave up.. Took it to my local Cerakote applicator, they freaking laughed at the spray job. Not only mines but my cousins chassis also... Future chassis purchase will be all Raw... save my $$$$ for a real quality Cerakote job...
So 36 oz, which is not exactly OH SO light, McMillan Carbon fiber stocks, depending on model, weight less, mine on a 6.5 PRC build weighs 32 oz, it is certainly not collapsible though! I was expecting it to weigh less, given your reaction.

What’s the difference between the 3.0 magnesium and the 4.0? Xlr doesn’t even offer the 4.0 on their web site.

I've never seen a savage 110 in 6.5CM NOT shoot hornady precision hunter very well. It's like they were developed for each other.

For a short action magnum, go 7 SAUM, because you need a reason for a new series on chambering and load development
