Dude your overall design is brilliant. Making everything "compartmentalized" and standalone is genius. Something goes wrong just fix it without having to open up you egg compartment. Bravo !!!
Thank You!!! It really helps when your on the 3 day lockdown when it is at the most critical during hatch time.... I got tired of losing eggs trying to add humidity. I also added an alarm Just In Case!!! Temps went down due to burnt light or something went wrong and that has saved my eggs a couple times... but eggs are tougher than what others have said...

I know I could have wired it better I just did a rush job cause I had eggs waiting... the good thing about that set up was I used it as a brooder for a few days until chicks were strong enough to go outside ... I raised to babies outside in the dirt with heat lamps and they loved it ...
I love this design. I like how the heat sources are broken up on each side, which distributes the heat more evenly. I'm going to attempt a build using this concept, we'll see how it goes. I'll keep all the links of the things I use, in case it works out well so I can show others what I used and how I did it. I'd like to make it on a larger scale and with cheap parts, but we'll see how it works. Thanks for the video, nicely done.
so the way I understood the regulation of humidity and temperature was that you need a channel switch just for the humidifier, and a seperate channel switch on the control unit for the fan which can independently be turned on if you over humidify and need to extract moisture, but my thinking was wrong. i realise that humidity and temperature will always automatically dissipate and the fan can be powered in along with the heating device and the humidifier separately. This is a great design and has given me a whole new way of thinking about the tobacco kiln I want to build. I will get the single control unit I was looking at on ebay (Temperature & Humidity Controller STC-3028 ) and wire up the fans with the 2 seperate devices which will be setup like yours in a separate compartment. Very clever indeed. Thank you for sharing
This is taking incubators to the EXTREME. But what a nice large incubator and great set up. I've just made one from one of the polystyrene cool boxes and used an old fish tank heater that I already had as the thermostat. Works great. Thanks for sharing your video

I'm interested on how you have it set up .... I just needed a bator that could hatch a lot of eggs at once and one I could do maintenance on like changing lights if needed or adding water without opening egg compartment so I didn't loose temperature or humidity especially on the three day lockdown plus is dubs as a brooder for the first couple days after hatch so the chicks can get their footing before they hit the dirt... by day three my babies are in coop running around in dirt dust bathing, scratching, pecking on whatever they can find and building their immune system. Hello , I actually used the fans from a 5 cu ft mini fridge and the controllers are made by ink bird I found on eBay .. the humidifier is Honeywell I bought from Walmart .... I would love to manufacture this modal into a cabinet but I just don’t have the means to do so ....
Is it because you're just using the store bought turners for other incubators instead of building your own for cabinet? Would you mind sharing the space you have for each of the compartments. I'm in process for designing a cabinet incubator and my idea was very similar to yours with separating heat & humidity from incubator.
No it’s a cash flow issue that’s it .... I have no dimensions cause what I did was I bought everything then built the incubator around turners, humidors lights Ect Ect ..... you should find this style a lot easier for hatching I used to get 80-85% hatch rates sometimes higher ... then I’d just leave chicken in there for a few days before I put them outside into the dirt ....
@@j2xtrm It's been a bit but, I built an incubator. I acquired 2 of these stand up beverage coolers that were no longer serviceable. Yes it will as long as you get warm enough lights and let it run for24 hrs before putting eggs in you’ll be ok it used to get 18° at my house and I could hatch from garage then I had heat lamps outside and would put chicks outdoors at 2 days old ... the trick is they had a little area that was always warm but would run out in the cold and when they got cold would run back into the warm area

i made a homemade incubator out of styrofoam, the temp is fine..but i cant seem to get my humidity up. i have water below as well as a soaked sponge. any tips?
There is an automatic egg rotator in there, so he doesn't need to manually rotate them. I have read to rotate them about 5 times a day, but it varies depending on where you read. Ideally it would be best to rotate them so they aren't on one side for more than a few hours.

I feel it should be fine as long as you have plenty of air circulation, I tested the temps throughout the whole incubator and it was consistent everywhere

vardhan subramaniam I use .004RPM cause you only need to turn eggs around 4 times in a 24hr period

I think you must have a small computer fan that blows Down to the water bowl to get spread moisture to the entire incubator
Get a sonic humidifier and a controller
nikole snow Try using a heat pad under the water bowl (like the ones you would use for snake or reptile tank).

By globes, do you mean the 250 watt light bulb? If so, the answer is no. They turn off and on depending on the temperature.

A humidifier converts water into room temperatur damp humitidy. No heat from humidifier. look up humidifiers.
