Glad to have found this video! I recently got an older version with no instructions or anything. I just fiddled with it enough to make it work but wasn't aware how it was intended to work. I have a Dickey's, old GQF and an old Brinsea now but if I get a new one it'll be a Dickey's made in USA!
These are the simplest things to build. I'm making one that is one unit with two incubators side by side and has a hatcher on the bottom with 4 trays that slide out and each one has its own door.

It's called a cooper
seems to me that an incubator made of wood will deteriorate from the humidity
If laminated wood used nothing will happens and i think wood incubator is best

Your incubator is a real piece of crap. I returned the two I bought because of poor quality.
