- Watch 7 feet of DMX Light as 2 Shehds 8x12W Bar Lights do their thing! In this video, learn all about their features and functions, including detailed description of menu controls and demonstration of DMX channels. Then watch them fill the room with moving beams with the hazer going!
You can buy the light here:

Again, I've also been looking at this light. Thank you for the channel walk-through.
Glad it was helpful and I appreciate you watching this one.
The price blew my mind! I made an audible gasp, haha. It's awesome how inexpensive these features are becoming - used to seem so out of reach even with the off-brand fixtures. Having a dedicated white channel, seemingly very smooth and quick tilt, and the length? You'd expect something double the price! Great video as always, thank you!
The price is low because it’s very cheaply made and definitely won’t last long
@@croissantproductions I imagine the difference between the build quality of this and the $429 Chauvet version is negligible.
@@Sqeedledee Trust me, I have Shehds and Chauvet fixtures, and the quality difference is huge.
Appreciate your kind words. Considering what else is out there in a similar price range, I think these are a great bargain. As a musician gigging out a few times a month, Shehds stuff has been the right choice for my budget. Thanks for watching!
I got one unit on promotion for 86 $ which only lasted a day or few hours . Now I have my eyes on other lights should they ever go on sale. Ah also the nine channel option won't do it for me as it lacks strobing
Awesome light. Great tutorial as always. Always enjoy watching them. I’m a slow learner but have picked up a thing or two from you. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate those kind words and thanks for watching!
Great video! Thanks for the time you put into them! Very cool!
Thanks for the kind words. I have a lot of fun making these videos and really appreciate people like you watching them!!
I love your videos! Great tips and tutorials and some great light selections - has made me decide to buy this beauty for my music video shoots - thank you and keep it up!
Really appreciate those kind words and I think you will like these lights. I know I've been getting a lot of good use out of mine. Thanks for watching!
Great video once again! Thank you and keep up the good work!
Really appreciate you watching!
Great work steve great lights .
Thank you Radio North! Appreciate you watching this one...
Excellent video, Steve! (Need we even say that anymore?) The best part might have been the funky synth voyage at the end!
Hey Jeff- Appreciate you noting the music! Sometimes putting together an end track is one of the most fun parts for me, and I was kind of happy with the way this one turned out. (gotta love those iPad apps!) Take care and thanks for watching!
@@LearnLizard @LearnLizard Hey Steve- maybe these wouldn't be the lights to try it, but do you know of a way people create an opaque tube to create a solid/smooth look for lights, particularly "bar" lights?
Great video Steve.
Very interesting to see those lights. Unfortunately not ideal for my setup as I don’t have a trust frame for it.
If you turned one around you would have the the lights working from out to in or in to out display
Hey Jefferson! I actually thought about turning one around for the video and I probably should have-- Although I have a truss setup, its too big to take to a lot of gigs so I've been mountinting these vertically on light stands beneath my PAR's and it's been a compact easy to set up option. (something to consider) I always appreciate your comments and watching!
@@LearnLizard Do you have other social media I can follow you on.
Quick question. Why don’t you become a Shehd’s rep here in the US? Based on your videos, I reached out to them, and their one rep is nowhere near as good as you. Your videos are so helpful.
Thanks for those kind words and that interesting idea! I've never even considered that possibility. Food for thought. Appreciate you watching!
It's a nice informative!
with 2 of these lights, can we set the continuous lights chasing from the fixture 1 and then the fixture 2 instead of both of them running the lights chasing at the same time?
Great question- you could definitely program that effect using a software controller as you have control over each light in the bar, but using the built in chase function I can't think of a way you could do it. Appreciate you watching...
Hey this video is 👍
Hey, thanks for watching!!
The right size for the room
Exactly! In fact, I think these might work well for a Pink Floyd tribute band 😀
Hi i have a qestion about programing mini moving heads! When i program a scene the color just isnt on? Any tips?
Hi- it's hard to know without knowing more details, but check to make sure the dimmer channel is set to full on- I've been fooled by that one before.
Good day I purchased the lights you reviewed but having difficulties setting them up. Can you offer help ?
Hi- If you can explain what is going on I can try to offer up some things to try.
which app are you using on your iPad??? i recently purchase the adj Bridge and i cant make it work properly
I'm using an app on my iPad called "Vibrio" with a DMXKing eDMX1 pro interface. It's a bit of an outdated app now with not much developer support, but it still works well for me to demo DMX channels on these videos. Good luck with the ADJ Bridge. I've heard good things about it.
What app and connector are you using to control it?
I'm using an iPad app called Vibrio and with an eDMX1 PRO interface. Here's a video showing how to set everything up:
ua-cam.com/video/6TU_2ViTXCQ/v-deo.html
Is there any device that i can send dmx signal to the fixture by apk like vibrio and i close the apk should remain last received signal. Thank you.
Hmm- I've never thought about that before. There are lots of different apps for controlling DMX lights so I'm guessing there must be a way to do what you are asking. Appreciate you watching.
I use a pair at home. Great value for the price but: Dimming is really annoying. The cut off going towards zero is erverything other then smooth. When they move "fast" they become quite noisy. They are silent when standing still (other then the other shed-Products I ordered and where advertised as 100% mute but emmited almost 70dB). mixed colors apear as separate dots on the wall and there is an RGBW Chanel for every spot but I'd love to have also a separate dimmer. In conclusion I think it's fun to play around with but if you are looking for quality I'd rather buy used.
Thanks for the perspective and agree they are a good value. I haven't noticed the noise being a problem on my pair, but do wish the color mixing was better. I've hesitated to buy used lights, not knowing how they were treated in their past, but certainly could be a good option in certain cases. Appreciate you watching...
@@LearnLizard I didn't mean the noise on this fixture but with pars and moving heads I bought from the same brand.
One thing I have to add is that the strobe is not exactly the same speed so they fall out of sync after some seconds. I wonder how your experience is?
Concerning buying used fixtures I can say that despite Sheds claims 100% satisfaction they didn't compensate in any way just offered to send back the fixtures to china on my expanse which is paying half the price for nothing. On the other hand I bought some Expolite tour pro 28 for around 150€ each, double the price but actually silent, proper 16 bit dimming, IP67-proof, inner- and outer zone separately controlable and in fact one of the fixtures sends a faulty signal. I got the ficture replaced for free immediately and could keep the other one for spare parts or to place somewhere in the rain without dmx-control.
Over all a so much more satisfying experience and not ruining the envirnment comes for free on top.
Nonetheless thanks for your content. It was of great help already!
I wouldn’t use these for different colors throughout one individual light
I don’t think that’s where the shine at all. I would do solid colors per unit. I just ordered a pair. I have nothing to mount them on but I’ll get there. Just another option to add to the arsenal of lights.
These look amazing with some haze literally looks like eight separate beams are coming from the (well ya cuz there are 8 lights) unit and to me that’s worth $148 each that I paid for them
I’m gonna get the Chauvet Colorband Pix-M USB instead because it color mixes and is smaller.
Cool- I'll have to check that one out. Thanks for watching Croissant.
Almost $300 more for the Chauvet.
@@Sqeedledee Yeah, but the quality and output is better. You get what you pay for
@@croissantproductions Chauvet version has 10 9w LED's. I doubt the build quality is different tbh. The D-FI wireless control is what sets it apart to me.
@@Sqeedledee Wattage isn’t everything. And I guarantee you the LEDs on the Chauvet are higher quality and more efficient.
The video
Nice video. but must say the Shehds are absolutely worthless. Ordered 4 of these and it said on their site that they had them in stock in Europe. Been waiting for a month and nothing has happened. support lies about delivery too. Really don't recommend Shehds even if the prices are attractive. #Shehds
Sorry to hear that- I've had good luck with relatively fast deliveries on all my fixtures but all have been from the US warehouse. Appreciate you watching.
@@LearnLizard I ordered a few of them Monday and they were all delivered today. So it took 4 days for delivery in Europe. Backorders have been a pain for a year in every business, so I'm glad I got a speedy delivery.
