Update: We now own both the Cybex Sirona S and the Nuna Rava. I would only recommend the Cybex Sirona S if a) your car has a short back seat AND you plan to use a convertible seat from birth or b) you need the swivel function to allow an older child to access the center seating position. The Nuna Rava is way easier to install, and it gets a more secure install. The Cybex Sirona S will fit in the same amount of space front to back as a Nuna Pipa infant seat installed with the base. It fits at newborn recline without adjusting the front seat. If you adjust the recline you can also fully extend it without adjusting the front seat. Original Post: I just want to say that the Nuna Rava is excellent if you have limited front to back space. We have it in a Ford Fiesta (their smallest car), behind the driver. With the leg room extended and rear recline 5 (most upright) it takes up about the same amount of space front to back as the Nuna Pipa infant seat installed with the base. Without legroom extended it fit comfortably enough at recline 2, but most comfortably at 3. So in a very small car like mine, you would probably still need an infant seat. For reference I am 5'2" but my legs think I am 5'7" lol. I sit almost as far back as my husband, who is 5'7" with average legs. I am always the driver and my husband is always the passenger. We were originally going to get a Nuna Exec for this baby, but now that Cybex has released the swivel version of the Sirona here, we are getting that instead. I am sooooo geeked out that its finally available in the states.
Hey Megan, great info! Can you go into a little more on why you recommend Rava vs Cybex? Those are the two I am looking at in upcoming months to prepare for my quite tall 6 months old. The rotate feature not that useful?
@@srejababu1787 I got the Cybex about 8 months ago. I like it a lot. The Swivel feature is really really nice to put in and take out the baby (really the only major feature to me). Also the Nuna is way easier to install correctly. Also if you child has a very large head, you will find the head rest and harness in the Nuna fit better. The Cybex sits much lower, so there’s less bonking the child on the car when putting them in, and as mentioned by someone else, the swivel is a major back saver (it’s also great for abdominal separation aka diastitis recti).

Cybex S When I bought this I was not aware that the swivel feature only works in the rear facing position. So that only lasted about 14 months and now it’s back to a regular car seat that wobbles more than others. I would not recommend this car seat to others.
Hi. I need to buy 2 car seats and I would prefer something my baby can be in until he is 10 like the 4 ever type of seats. My kiddo will be 1 yr in a week and he is already 31.5 inches tall but he is pretty slim maybe about 20-22lbs. What seat do you recommend? Of course safety is number 1 but also his height and he is good for falling asleep on a short card ride so something that will allow his head to rest safely.
How does the Graco 4Ever DLX 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat compare to these safety wise? It is very appealing due to the fact that it converts into the high back and the booster seat but I'm not sure about it's safety in comparison to the ones you listed in the video above.
I am having twins as a first time mom and I do not know what carseat to get when they are born. I have a double stroller I am getting that hooks the carseats onto it. Please help :(
Not sure how I feel about the Clek Q-tether. I’m glad it’s an optional/extra accessory and not required because it screams misuse to me. I’m already careful about recommending Clek to most parents because their convertibles are awesome and cool and have tons of neat features but they just aren’t as intuitive and user friendly as something like the Rava or Britax Clicktights. I tell them they really need to get to know their Clek car seat and commit to using it correctly as baby grows - obviously this always applies but Clek seats aren’t as easy and quick to adjust which is important for parents to know when they make that choice. Rear tethers are an awesome safety feature but the extra step of hooking/unhooking to get baby in/out seems unrealistic for all parents to do correctly every time. :(
I agree. It’s nice that the rear tethers add a safety feature but they just seem inconvenient and then a new risk of kids messing with it or parents attaching items onto the straps. Is it optional or required on the Knox?
“Haven’t reseached it while you were pregnant, and now your baby is growing out of the infant car seat and it’s still confusing” I am not even pregnant yet, and already know I want Cybex Sirona Z i-Size, but I am just looking for fun. 🙃🙃🤣
Personally not a huge fan of all in one seats like the Exec. They sound great in theory but tend to have drawbacks in real life. Often hard for kiddo to use/buckle as a booster (I haven’t played with the Exec so I can’t say if it’s worse or better than average) so I see many families buy a separate booster down the road and end up regretting the $$$. No matter how easy it is to switch between booster and harness modes, there is room for user error which risks leaving kiddo unsafe. And ~10 years is a long time for one kid to use one seat - car seats get gross with use, and who knows what new technology will come out between now and then. I love the Rava and would not personally spend the extra $200 for a booster mode that may or may not work well for your family in 6-7 years -CPST
We have a Rava which we love, but for baby 2 (also due June :) ) we were leaning Exec. My main reason was that the Exec has integral AR while the US version of the Rava doesn't have ARB. It's worth noting the price of the Rava + Aace = Exec, but the Aace is much wider than the Exec. If width is a concern I would say Exec, if not Sandy makes a very good point. The width of the Exec is the same as the Baby Trend Hybrid, which is one of the narrower boosters. I also like that the Exec doesn't have arm rests because arm rests increase the risk of seatbelt misuse in boosters. Additionally, it has a nice open beltpath.
Definitely a fan of the anti-rebound feature - the ARB is why I stuck to Britax Clicktight seats instead of getting a Rava myself :). The Rava is 0.5” wider than the Exec, but the Rava also has a smaller front to back footprint when rear facing. OP, if you’re close to a Nordstrom or other store that carries floor models of Nuna seats, I’d suggest going and getting your hands on both seats before making your decision. Try the Exec install in your car if possible (most Nordstrom stores should let you try it out if they have enough staff for someone to walk you to your car with the seat(s), I’ve done it a few times!) to make sure it’ll fit at a safe newborn recline. You may also decide you prefer one seat over the other based on size, inserts, or other features that are important to you.
I’m not sure why I struggle so much with my Rava. All the installs look super easy, but my seat would would to easily without muscling all the slack out of the seatbelt and rocking the seat back and forth.
Judy the Rava or a Britax Clicktight (marathon, boulevard, or advocate) are more compact when installed upright for an older baby/toddler to fit better in a small sedan
My only concern is how you said “pull out a little slack out of the strap” you should tighten it way more than that.. did you do it like this for time? Car seat should not move more than an inch from side to side. This was at 3:40
Cybex, what are the dimensions? We are expecting our second and would like to keep our uppababy Mesa, in the middle of the back seat of our SUV for now. But I worry both won’t fit. 😥
DSchultz83 the Cybex is 20 in wide at the shoulder. Front to back it takes up about the same distance as a Nuna Pipa installed on the base. It fits rear-facing in a Ford Fiesta at newborn recline. Adjusting the recline, you can fully extend the headrest without adjusting the front seat at all.
I really want to know th3 difference between the Rava and the Cybex . I can’t go to the stores because I’m afraid of COVID, but we have the cybex cloud q. Should we get the nuna rava or the other cybex one ahhh I’ just want a cozy car seat made within great materials... that also.. is safe if courseee

so do I need an infant car seat? Can I purchase one of these convertible carseats to use from birth? with my daughter I didn't really know I had so many options so now that were planning for baby number 2 im want better products but they get a bit expensive when buying multiple car seats .
So any word on the Knox being redesigned and rereleased? I would think the car seat manufacturers had learned from that epic, literal, "flop" of an infant car seat that was the 2007 Eddie Bauer, but apparently I was mistaken!
Jozianne Mundo it’s optional and they sell their seats both with and without it, but it’s a great safety feature for rear facing! You can buy it separately from Britax if you want one
Could you please share your opinion about Britax one4life all in one car seat? Is it good to buy option if someone wants to skip infant seat completely.
@@MagicBeansVideos My usage of infant car seat would be very less in the first 6 months of baby's birth. And I read somewhere that infant car seats are mostly about convenience carrying baby while they are asleep, safety feature of infant and all in one convertible car seats are same. Since you are an expert, it is good to your opinion before I make any decision. I have to make purchase decision in june.
Surbhi Mittal the one4life is a really, really nice seat but I don’t love it for newborns. For a rear facing kiddo, the harness straps have to come from at/below baby’s shoulders. The lowest harness slot on the one4life is too high to safely fit a smaller/shorter newborn and it’s just too hard to accurately predict a baby’s torso height in utero to know whether they will be tall enough to safely use the one4life from birth. The Britax Clicktight convertibles (Marathon, Boulevard, Advocate) fit newborns better because the harness goes low enough to sit at/below an average newborn’s shoulders. If you really prefer the one4life over the other convertibles (personally not a huge fan of booster mode on all-in-one style car seats) just make sure you have a backup plan, like a cheaper convertible car seat known to fit newborns well, just in case. Then that extra seat can be your backup seat/babysitter’s car etc when baby upgrades to the one4life.
For the nuna rava- if you install it in a car with down sloping seats, even at the most reclined position of the carseat, it is still quite upright. What are your thoughts about wedging a rolled towel/pool noodle underneath the carseat to fix the angle issue?
We always suggest checking with CPSTs before using accessories. You absolutely do not want a towel under there according to most recent guidelines but the pool noodles are commonly used by CPSTs for angle adjustments. As for how exactly to do that, I'd definitely suggest reach out to the experts at your local fire or police station.
I have a question about comfort. The Cybex definitely appears to be the most convenient for loading and safety but does it recline as far back as the Nuna model? My 2-year-old hates going into her infant baby seat, so I thought I would really search for a safe and comfortable model for her next chair.
Melanie Schirmer many kids are actually happier sitting more upright in the car once they’re able to sit independently! That could be your problem if your 2yo is still using her infant car seat, and/or kiddo is squished. Upgrading to a convertible and letting kiddo sit more upright should hopefully help

You won't regret it. I've been using clicktights for almost 5 years now. Owning each iteration. I'm about to buy the One for life also. Absolutely adore these seats!
Both are equally safe as long as kiddo is within the limits. Personally I get tired of lugging around that heavy infant seat early on and I’ve switched as early as 4-6 months. Once baby is able to sit in a stroller seat out of the car instead of car seat/bassinet I’m ready to switch! I’ve found that my kiddos are more comfortable and prefer to sit a little more upright than the infant seat allows by 6-8 months. But really you can switch anytime before baby reaches the Mesa height or weight limit (as long as they are within Knox minimum weight). When baby reaches the height or weight limit of Mesa (usually height first) you must switch. -CPST

hi, in india we dont get the best car seats, Cozy and Safe merlin is the only one available . what do you think about it.
Omg that swivel!!!! I have awful neck and back issues, this would be amazing!!!!
How does the Graco 4Ever DLX 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat compare to these safety wise? It is very appealing due to the fact that it converts into the high back and the booster seat but I'm not sure about it's safety in comparison to the ones you listed in the video above.
Does the Cybex come off its base? Or would both of our cars need to have a seat?
No bases in convertible car seats. We can break this down more at mbeans.com/consultations
I can t seem to find the uppababy anywhere
I am having twins as a first time mom and I do not know what carseat to get when they are born. I have a double stroller I am getting that hooks the carseats onto it. Please help :(
Out of all these above if I ask you which is the best one I can buy of all the above?
Can you update your shipping to be able to ship to Guam?!
The cybex sirona s, what’s the max weight? I’m in between the sirona or eternis.
I just ordered the Cybex Sirona thanks to your video! You’re so helpful thank you!
I see so many Cleks misused, I agree that they aren’t super user friendly
I agree. It’s nice that the rear tethers add a safety feature but they just seem inconvenient and then a new risk of kids messing with it or parents attaching items onto the straps. Is it optional or required on the Knox?
Britax got poor safety ratings next to the Nuna Rava. That was disappointing to me as I got so excited about the easy install!
“Haven’t reseached it while you were pregnant, and now your baby is growing out of the infant car seat and it’s still confusing” I am not even pregnant yet, and already know I want Cybex Sirona Z i-Size, but I am just looking for fun. 🙃🙃🤣

Anything on the Nuna Exec? We're expecting #2 in June and are trying to decide between the Rava and the Exec.
Nuna is doing a bit of an upgrade - I’ll be doing a review later this year.
Eli
That’s very uncommon. What kind of car do you have? Eli
Are all of these good for infants as well? I know many convertible seats are but just want to make sure.
Yep!
Do you have the Maxi Cosi - Mica Child Seat With 360?
Which one is more comfortable for the baby? And are these all suitable for small sedans, with regards to the space to the front seat?
Judy the Rava or a Britax Clicktight (marathon, boulevard, or advocate) are more compact when installed upright for an older baby/toddler to fit better in a small sedan
My only concern is how you said “pull out a little slack out of the strap”
you should tighten it way more than that.. did you do it like this for time?
Car seat should not move more than an inch from side to side. This was at 3:40
How do you see new diono q series car seats?
Have you tested Chicco Seat 4fix?
I’m guessing you can’t use the swivel function when the upper tether strap is in use for forward face install.
Nope. Thanks for pointing that out.
Eli
We can help out at mbeans.com/consultations! We have options for phone, video chat and email consultations so we can take you through the options that fit best! Its hard to say which will fit in a car best unfortunately, but we can help out with real-time measuring and anything else that'll help make the decision easier!
I feel like the load leg on the cybex could be annoying once you have your child face forward - like it would be in the way and the kid would have to “hop” in a sense over it. Fantastic idea I do agree. Waiting for the Knox. Can it be used without the tether in a sedan car?
Nani Bar yes, but it’s recommend with a Tether. Eli
Thank you! And do you know the highest and lowest width of the Knox ? I’ve look all online and contacted 3 baby stores by my house but can’t get an answer we want to preorder with you guys but want to ensure it will fit my car! Thank you Eli
I have a Toyota Camry and the RAVA it's rear facing and she is 1 yrs old in a week but her legs are so bent with no room and she is 25lbs. I am so confused about what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you swivel the Cybex carseat with one hand? say, I was holding a baby could I still swivel it?
I just got this cybex car seat and I can swivel with one hand:)
I'm like 5 years away from considering having a child but now I'm curious
Which carseat do you recommend for a 21 month old who is 32 inchs and 26 lbs . And we always travel by cab because we live in nyc with no car?
I desperately need the rava to be shipped to india! I cannot find any website with international shipping. I am willing to pay for customs. Please help!
Do you still need help?
How come y’all don’t talk about the chicco one it’s great! And I think you should include the brand with these brands!
If you haven’t noticed he only sells the higher end brands.
Chicco sucks that's why
Chicco got very very low crash test results!!!!
They scored 4/10!!!! Awful
@@oliverandamms738 chicco and graco suck to me
This was sooo helpful!!!!! I'm a new mommy and my baby girl is soo tall for her infant car seat now. That swivel ALONE is so awesome, like I didn't even know that something like that even existed.
Hey Eli! Thanks for the superb video yet again! Are there any car booster seat that reclines a good deal? (For my 3.5 year old boy) TQ!!!
If I buy the Sarina S in store can somebody help me install it in my car
Do you have a store in Ny ?
Hi, are we able install Cybex and Nuna to an airplane seat? If we are, would we be able to use them in a recline position considering an airplane has so little space.
The Nuna is approved, the Cybex is not. The Nuna is a little tight, but most convertible car seats will be. If you have any more questions feel free to reach out at mbeans.com.consultations
What is the lower weight limit on the Cybex??
Can a baby leave the hospital in the klek
If you had a product called an infant thingy

so do I need an infant car seat? Can I purchase one of these convertible carseats to use from birth? with my daughter I didn't really know I had so many options so now that were planning for baby number 2 im want better products but they get a bit expensive when buying multiple car seats .
I’d say get an infant car seat to start
I can't find any of these in the UK
So any word on the Knox being redesigned and rereleased? I would think the car seat manufacturers had learned from that epic, literal, "flop" of an infant car seat that was the 2007 Eddie Bauer, but apparently I was mistaken!
What do you think about the 2020 Diono Radian 3RXT?
I think they are great - just make sure they fit In your car - they don’t always fit so well.
Eli
Was the clicktight suppose to come with a rebound bar.? Do we need one?
Jozianne Mundo it’s optional and they sell their seats both with and without it, but it’s a great safety feature for rear facing! You can buy it separately from Britax if you want one
Could you please share your opinion about Britax one4life all in one car seat? Is it good to buy option if someone wants to skip infant seat completely.
I love the one4life, but why do you want to skip and infant seat?
Sandy F Thanks for your thoughts!
Is the cybex available for purchase? Your link is to the M

@@SF-pe3qf Thank you! After watching so many videos, it does seem that they like to be able to see everything sitting up. Do you have any suggestions? I have watched a few Best convertible car seats of 2020 but I'm so confused. Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat | Ride Rear Facing Longer with Extend2Fit, is highly rated on Amazon and is significantly less than the Cybex Sirona which parent's keep saying is wobbly. I like the convenience and space it has but I am afraid of the many wobbly claims.

Any opinions on the Doona??
Can you please review the nuna exec please
Hi. Do you have a video for 360 car seats? I am thinking about the maxi cosi mica or a cybex? Thank you.
The Only 360 Car Seat in the US is the Sirona S.

Hello are you guys still checking these videos?
Checking what?
Eli
@@MagicBeansVideos thanks guys glad to know still checking. We are moving back to usa and wondered about the Cbex Sirona can the swivel stay in place facing the door when door closed. For grandma and wonder if she swiveled to take child out can she leave it that way to put the baby back in? Also up to what weight can the child be? Wondering if can get more than 1 year use out of the seat? Thanks
Is the cybex compatible with the uppababy vista?
Yes.
Hi Eli, which would you recommend for a small car with extended rear facing? I'm looking at Britax B- first and Britax millennia.

Hi, I’m currently considering a convertible car seat up to 120 lbs and I’m not sure if I should go for the Cybex eternis s or Diono QXT. I’m looking for a super safe car seat, easy to use and easy to install plus comfort. I like the idea of the steel frame of the Diono but not sure the comfort level in terms of reclining (forward facing) I’ll be worried if the head is hanging forward while sleeping. Also, I don’t know much of Cybex as a brand.
We can absolutely help you out! You can book a consultation on our site and we can go through all the positives and negatives of each with you. www.mbeans.com/pages/consultations
The uppa baby Knox has been recalled due to lateral movement. you are suppose to send them back to uppa baby and you will receive a full refund
I am in looooove with my Britax One4Life with the clicktight technology. Will never go back
You won't regret it.
I've been using clicktights for almost 5 years now.
Owning each iteration.
I'm about to buy the One for life also.
Absolutely adore these seats!
When would you suggest switching over from the Mesa to a knox in terms of age/weight.
-CPST
I’ve seen online that the Uppababy Knox in the Jordan color has a lime green logo. Yours doesn’t! I don’t want green 😂 do you know if I order it will it be the gray logo or green?!
that Sirona is a dream. any idea when it's coming?
I literally just found out its coming out in June!
Any word when the cybex will.be releasing the car seat?
