Look at all those collapsed dorsal fins :( I bet instead of those tiny fish they would much rather be hunting seal in their natural habitat the OCEAN! Instead they get to swim in chemically treated pools and perform stupid tricks for human entertainment wow what a life smfh. How anyone can look at this and not feel sorry for these whales is beyond my human comprehension. These whales belong to the Ocean not Seaworld ...

Collapsed dorsal fins is actual due to the breakdown of collagen in the fins. It happens in the wild too. You can’t always blame SeaWorld.
@@justanotherhorsegirl1494 Do you know who Dr. Ingrid Visser is? She's a scientist, and expert of Orcas. There are approximately 60 orcas world wide living in captivity and she states that almost all of the males have collapsed Dorsal fins. It's not normal or common for Orcas in the wild to have collapsed Dorsal fins. While it happens it's not the norm like we see with captive whales. Sea world is to blame because these animals don't belong in captivity to begin with it's just wrong!
The fins collapse because of the time they spend at the surface eating, playing with toys, interacting with trainers, etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's very normal for that to happen with wild orcas if they are under the right circumstances for it to happen. It's literally an aesthetic.
SeaWorld HAS tried to let their animals hunt for live fish, but when they put them in the pool the whales got afraid and swam to the back pools. Their dorsal fins are made out of the same material your ear is, its cartilage. The pressure of the water in the wild helps stabilize their dorsal fins. But there are also killer whales in the wild with collapsed and disfigured dorsal fins. The killer whales at SeaWorld have their bent or collapsed dorsals because they spend most of their time at the water, playing with enrichment devices and doing sessions with the trainers and such.
I swear at 16:35 - 16:67 it Tilikum because his dorsal fin is collapsed and only Tilikum had that but Seaworld said he died on the 6th this was on the 8th.......
ohhh okay
Yes i know now
You're either seeing Keet or Ikaika. Tilikum died at SeaWorld Orlando (the only SW park he ever lived at) on January 6. This was filmed at SeaWorld San Diego on January 8.
+oya 44 Every captive male has a collapsed dorsal? Apparently you're blind to Nakai and Makani - 2 captive males IN THIS SHOW without collapsed dorsals. Along with many other captive males both in SeaWorld parks and other facilities without collapsed dorsals.
You'd be correct in saying that males with larger dorsals experience dorsal collapse more frequently due to the dorsal not being able to support its own weight as it is purely made up of connective tissue - it has no bones or cartilage to support it (dorsal collapse can also be seen in the wild). However its definitely wrong to state that every captive male has dorsal collapse.
TILIKUM , THE BEST ORCA
Eleven whales!!! Outrageous! I'm disgusted and horrified!
Wow, you think orcas are disgusting and horrifying? That's really sad. Maybe you should go to SeaWorld so you can learn to appreciate them ;)
Anonamoose Hey it's not like it's 30 orcas in one bathtub!
Actually most of the time the orca don't stay in the same pool did you see corky and ulise probably not together
I'm glad that there is no more shows because they have the right to be set free in the wild and not in a tiny tank
They're not even stopping shows. They're just replacing the theatricals shows such as One Ocean with educational experiences. The Whales will still be performing.
The Orca's would never survive in the wild (Keiko is testament to that). The Orca habitat is also incredibly large and made up of multiple pools - not just the show pool you see here, and stopping the shows completely would actually be detrimental to the animals as the shows serve as a massive form or enrichment for them.
Whales still staying just less interactions with trainers. 😐
on a positive note atleast the video shows how crap the seaworld show is and not to bover wasteing your time go do something more useful instead
