the price is amazing i do plan to retire in the Philippines some day right now taking care of my mother, not in manila or cebu but a place with less pollution and noise. I am looking more at condos but the price for this house is amazing.
@@prepperjonpnw6482 south cebu. We currently live here in the south and it’s all beach and outdoor living. We build a comfortable house and we just keep on renovating it. It’s cheap and walking distance from malls.
Something I notice in the US over the past 50 years...we created more and more comfortable things and those things separated us more and more. With a sofa a family sat together, touched, could cuddle. Recliners separated us, they became thrones. Then separate "family" room which separated the family into an additional separate room. Then each child had to have their own bedroom. Then kids needed their own bathroom too completing their own apartment where they could close "their" door. TVs in every bedroom of course. Separate cars. It created separate lives. Not sure it started with recliners, but to me, I've always seen them as evil. I did own one for a few months. It felt like a coffin. You go in and never come out. I've seen many men go into a recliner and basically live there until they could barely move.
Very wise observations with which I agree. I would add that you still have to work hard to decently isolate yourself from your own family with all those superfluous gadgets and oversized houses.

Maricar, hands down, second to none, the best personality, sense of humor on all of Filipina youtube vloggers. She is unmatched, no one else can compare. The house is definitely my style also, small, minimal and simple. Would be nice to get the details on the house, who the engineer is, builder, etc. because at that price and how comfortable it is, you can't beat that! Nice video always, keep up the great work Matt and Maricar! Peace!
Thank you very much, my friend! Especially for appreciating my woman, I agree that she is one, unique and irreplaceable. The main builder was their neighbor and they are really satisfied with him, it was not a company just a few neighbors built the house. Peace bro!
This is a really cute house! The other thing I like is, there is no “fortress wall” surrounding the property, you can actually see all the beautiful surroundings! You are so lucky to have such a beautiful family!
Ya, you can also see her family coming when they are moving in, and that includes her Philippino husband. And as long as the expat continues to pays ALL expenses. And that includes food for her entire family. He will always have that small room, down the hall. But away from the rest of her family. He will also NEVER be alone when he leaves his room. But why should he? Because..... the family will cook for him, from the food that he paid for. And will clean his clothes. From a service that he pays for. In fact he'll pay the laundry bill for the entire family. Of course, he'll pay 💲 for all transportation cost for the entire family. He may even feel like a prisoner in her home. But he's really not. Because he's free to go at any time. Ya, there will not be any locks on his small bedroom door. In fact, as far as security, he'll live right next to the pigs, dogs and any other livestock there is. Of course these animals will ALWAYS make noise, 24/7. Therefore he'll never get any real sleep. He would like to move, but he used all of his retirement nest egg to buy his wife and her family that house. Of course, his family should have access to his banking. Because, since they are managing "his" house. It's better if they manage and control all of the funds. This will continue, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. Until he passes away. And then a new expat takes his place. Bur he will pay for the new house that is built right next to the old house. But the new expats monthly expenses will be doubled, because he'll pay for two houses. But when the new house is finished. His family will move him into that old room where the other expat lived. You remember him, right? I'm talking about the old one who died in that room. I would NEVER use my money to buy a house in a country that I could not own the land.

Beautiful ! I just need more land than that. The house is absolutely great and surprised that it was built for just that amount. Materials are costlier now, 30% more .
Nice house but I would need 2 br 2 br. The price is great but I would build it so I could expand the house in the future. The lot is a nice size and the yard has a lot of potential.👍🏼🌴

Really great video guys, it's a cute little house Anton sure did like the bed, so if I were you Matt I would start building a house for Maricar 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠
There was a time that many sailing ships wouldn't make port in the Philippines because they feared too many crewman wouldnt come back. I can see why. Such a nice, humble people and the women are textbook island beauties.
The Philippine people are really hospitable, I stayed with my wife's family in Almeria. Less likely to be scammed from ladies in the provinces, very traditional, high morals. Don't use sites where you have to pay to contact the filipina, membership, they really attract the scammers.
I can feel the warmth of the family and happiness and joy of energy house give. I preefer a full of love lil house instead a huge quiet and sat pallace.
Simple living. Easy to clean. Nice patio in back that is covered. Great video. 18k is realistic. What city? And i love that you are polish guy iving in phillipines!
Matt, you got to build, I Maricar like this house you just shown. Maybe you can give a vlogg about land price. BTW, that's nice house, with plenty of yard. Cheers from chilli/rainy, cold Australia, will be Philippines October.
For now, we do not plan to settle. A vlog about land prices can be meaningless because people here have absurd ideas about the value of their land. Prices are very often a reflection of their wet dreams. Cheers buddy.
Super nice practical house and lot...exactly what my Wife and I are planning as well...1st were building one house like this for my wife's older parents...it'll belong to my wife n I so no family issues arise if n when they pass in later yrs... We have land already in Leyte...
Hello.,just stumbled across your video from UA-cam suggestions. It just so happens I am building a house this exact size. Thank you for showing how nice even a small house can be. I was wondering where you purchase the recliner? Thank you in advance.
Hello, are you building the same size house in the Philippines 🇵🇭? Is it easy for you and your wife to lease or buy land and build your own house? Is the price similar, about $20K? I’m Canadian considering moving to the Philippines 🇵🇭.
Small tiny house with the big yard. I guess it's okay for Filipino style small leaving house like a modern apartment home. But I like the backyard because it's big can also put a swimming pool in the future.

Thanks for feedback Otto
Beautiful ! I just need more land than that. The house is absolutely great and surprised that it was built for just that amount. Materials are costlier now, 30% more .
A larger plot of land in the province should not be a problem. 💯🌴🥥
beautiful.... oh the house is nice too. lol =)
hahaha 💯👌
It all looks amazing great job guys.
Yup, we're happy for our neighbours 😉
That would so work for my needs.
Thank you for watching
Just made me rethink building house in Thailand
Thanks for the comment. 🙂
Nice house but I would need 2 br 2 br. The price is great but I would build it so I could expand the house in the future. The lot is a nice size and the yard has a lot of potential.👍🏼🌴
Thats just idea with numbers, everyone can make their own 💯🌊🌴🥥🏡
The American dream...in the P.I. everything a man could want, congratulations to you both.
Thank you for watching. But that house is our friend's house.

I really like the concept of your house. Very simple and cozy. And yes you're right - very practical. That's the way how to live a simple and humble life. God bless your beautiful home. 🏡 🙏 ❤️
Thanks so much! 😊 That was our friend's house
Really great video guys, it's a cute little house Anton sure did like the bed, so if I were you Matt I would start building a house for Maricar 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠
Thanks Cliff, When I shore up my budget we'll go exploring another island rather than building a house 🌴🥥🐟📷
@@IslaPamilya that sounds like a good idea, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I really like the yard,wide,love it ❤
Thanks, Pat.

A woman that is happy with appreciation for her man. Exactly why they are desired so much.
Thank you for watching.
There was a time that many sailing ships wouldn't make port in the Philippines because they feared too many crewman wouldnt come back.
I can see why. Such a nice, humble people and the women are textbook island beauties.
Agreed. Everything you need is there...
Thank you for the comment 🙂
Pig. 🐖
Exactly..
The Philippine people are really hospitable, I stayed with my wife's family in Almeria. Less likely to be scammed from ladies in the provinces, very traditional, high morals. Don't use sites where you have to pay to contact the filipina, membership, they really attract the scammers.
Perfect home🥰❤
Thank you for watching. 🙂
Beautiful house, family and wife. You're living the dream my friend.
Thank you kindly
I can feel the warmth of the family and happiness and joy of energy house give.
I preefer a full of love lil house instead a huge quiet and sat pallace.
Thank you for watching
Simple living. Easy to clean. Nice patio in back that is covered. Great video. 18k is realistic. What city? And i love that you are polish guy iving in phillipines!
its San Juan Siquijor island, thanks for comment and kind words ! 💯🌊🌴🥥
@@IslaPamilya cheers, you summed it up perfectly, wet dreams land priced 🤣🤣🤣😉
Cutest couple Godspeed
Thank you for the kind words ❤️
Very pretty house for a good price. Thabk you for the tour.
Our pleasure!
Great Video.
Thanks! 💯🌴🥥
Super nice practical house and lot...exactly what my Wife and I are planning as well...1st were building one house like this for my wife's older parents...it'll belong to my wife n I so no family issues arise if n when they pass in later yrs... We have land already in Leyte...
Best of luck!
Hello.,just stumbled across your video from UA-cam suggestions. It just so happens I am building a house this exact size. Thank you for showing how nice even a small house can be. I was wondering where you purchase the recliner? Thank you in advance.
It wasn't our house. It was friend's house. They bought it from Dumaguete the recliner.
Always up to you! Thank you for watching.
Simple and Nice ....
💯🌊🌴🥥
Ang cute ng interiors .....cool and neat!
