Welcome to SG! Just to share some tips: 1. Look out for the “PCN” signs and arrows on the road… it means Park Connector and usually guides you to nicer paths. 2. Just beside the roads you were cycling at ard 18mins mark, there’s a hidden Green Corridor (converted from our old railway track) parallel to it… best hidden gem in SG for cyclists. Try it next time! 3. Get some fresh orange juice from juicing machines for just $2 if you come across one… really refreshing during a ride on a hot day. Stay safe on the roads and have fun! 😉
I just finished your previous video and saw this one uploaded. Felt so happy! Keep up the great videos. These Singapore videos are some of your best content yet.
Thanks for sharing your riding adventures. It feels like we’re riding along with you. The varied types of locations and roads makes it all interesting.
i love it when you guys are on folding bikes, makes me want to ride my folding bike on long distances more & more, keep creating beautiful contents riding folding bikes!
Wow!! Singapore looks absolutely fabulous. As I mentioned in your previous video . . . clean! In the whole ride, I didn't as much as see a candy wrapper. I'm definitely going to Singapore. Those that live there have to be very proud of their country. I'm so impressed. The only thing that would concern my while riding, is some of the narrow paths you were on. Other than that, It's a winner of a location. I honestly can't wait to head out there one day. Great video. Looking forward to your next installment.
Yes, it is definitely worth visiting! Those narrow paths are basically as bad as it gets and most places are better. We were intentionally trying to ride away from the main paths to see how the other roads are and were still really impressed. The no garbage anywhere was also really nice to see.
It's a beautifully clean place and I've loved every trip. You also have to realize that it's so clean and perfect because it's still an authoritarian government -- there are legal restrictions on freedom of speech and the press that the rest of us in the US and EU take for granted. You gain some quality, lose some in other places.
I watched these out of order, so I didn't see the first one yet. I have to say, that for watching a video that had almost no Thuong dialogue, that I still found it incredibly enjoying to listen to. I mostly had it on in the background, so I can hear it, but don't always see it. I've probably mentioned it before, but I just have to say it again. It's just so refreshing to watch something so upbeat and considerate. Ever since I got more into cycling, it's funny just how confrontational people can be. So it's nice to hear others talk about being considerate around pedestrians or just riding extra safe. And then also the positive comments towards ebikes vs gas scooters for delivery. This channel is quickly becoming one of my feel-good UA-cam watches. That is to say, don't ever feel pressured to be extra positive based on my random comment. Keep being you, I enjoy the random rants too. ^.^ --- The bird sound mimics was the highlight of the video. I don't know anything about those birds, but I thought it was funny. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your kind comments! It is usually me doing most of the talking on the longer cycling videos since it is difficult to maintain a conversation with Thuong while cycling and she does not understand everything I am saying. We are trying to at least get her to speak her opinion on certain things whenever there is a good chance, which also helps practice her English. I try to be as neutral and honest as possible, so I will point out negative things or things that bother me, but I try to keep a positive perspective overall.
That was such a lovely insight into what riding around Singapore feels like fo people like me who have never been there. You can definitely tell that it is a pretty wealthy state, where the creation and upkeep of public infrastructure operates on a comfortable budget. As for the 150km in a day, your legs are going to take a a beating with that ! Look forwards to your next ride .

Another cool route to try is the Rail Corridor. It's the former KTM Malaysia-Singapore rail line that has now been repurposed into a long uninterrupted PCN path from Tanjong Pagar down south to Bukit Timah towards the west. Historic landmarks, greenery and a bit of gravel. The path does continue north but after the Hillview area but a lot of it is under redevelopment, and whatever is open is just desolate gravel in disrepair, occasionally disrupted where level crossings used to be. Fun on a gravel bike, but probably not that pleasant on folding bikes. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, the Bukit Timah area is where you'll find some mountain bike trails.

Taiwan is gradually opening up for tourist. They started opening up for tourists today. Though, you need to check if Thuong can be allowed to enter visa free.
Thank you! We're still not sure of the entrance requirements for Vietnamese. It was easier when she had Japanese residence, but I think it is more difficult now. Hard to find clear information online.
Too bad the park connector is broken or you could've gone up through Alexandra pcn to mbs. It would take you through Clarke Quay too. That's probably the northern route they wanted you to take. Should've just followed the gravel path to the exit ramp. By west coast we'd normally just use the road, it's just much easier. At 8:00 yeah, should've turned down. That's a badminton court, I don't think any of us really know what hackey sack is. Round island is 150-170km if you go to lampost 1 depending on where you stay but 40km shorter if you don't. I usually ride a mountain bike because I like taking shortcuts across pavement and sometimes dirt. Also, some places have massive potholes, they get patched really quick which is good but it also means you cannot memorise where they are since new ones just appear, using a 140mm full sus means it doesn't hurt even if I accidentally hit one. But for long rides above 60km I now use a road bike to save time. And also to stop wearing out my last gear. It's so weird seeing UA-camrs so near where I stay.
At 8:11: Indeed a Sepak Takraw court, but you can just as well play regular volleyball or badminton on it. That is my neighbourhood, I ride and run there and see folks playing it a lot.
So much better than dodging the motorbikes in Vietnam. Something tells me that you and Tuon will end up in the Netherlands someday. Singapore looks like a city from Star Trek. You deserve to get a lot of talk for calling Da Nang's dragonfish a 'fake one'.

Btw, CCTV are everywhere, it's matter of time the police look and lock up whoever did it.
Surprised they allow bicycles on all the pedestrian paths. I can imagine it can be inconvenient for pedestrians once it is more crowded and cyclists are not as careful as you.

@@TwoWheelCruise just remember do not put smart phone on your Jersey back pocket or mounting on the handlebar if you comeback to Vietnam, especially when you ride your bike in the big city like Hanoi. or if you need look phone for navigation you can use like a frame bag with cover made for android so theft cannot grab your phone. it make phone really hot during day but rather we lose our phone, sometime i put small icy bottle wrap with a towel to make my phone cooler inside the frame bag. the theft targeting smart phone because it easy to sell

You guys should cycle for good food around singapore! A food cycle tour!
We want to come back for more!
At 8:11: Indeed a Sepak Takraw court, but you can just as well play regular volleyball or badminton on it. That is my neighbourhood, I ride and run there and see folks playing it a lot.
Thanks! Looked like a really nice neighborhood.
Welcome to sg!!!
Thank you!
Taiwan ends quarantine requirements tomorrow and visa-exempt entry has already resumed.
Awesome news! Thank you!
That noisy bird is an Asian Koel
Thank you!
Enjoy your ride here in Singapore Guys. Btw, i suggest come to cycle here in Punggol.
Thank you!
You are welcome.
Cycling friendly 🎉
We Singaporean hates the uwu bird too! HAHAHA! :D
😂😂😂
How about Indonesia? Specially in my region, many panoramic track and beautiful view all the way, villager life, fresh air...all is nature
Yes, we want to go there too!
@@TwoWheelCruise hope we can cycling together 👍
So much better than dodging the motorbikes in Vietnam.
Something tells me that you and Tuon will end up in the Netherlands someday.
Singapore looks like a city from Star Trek.
You deserve to get a lot of talk for calling Da Nang's dragonfish a 'fake one'.
We're hoping to visit next Summer if we can get her travel visa.
Always have raincoat or something on stby for long ride U know S'pore weather
Good tip!
Checkout Changi Bay Point
It is mandatory to get lost a little every new place (or old) you ever go, otherwise how are you supposed to be on an adventure? :)
Exactly, it's the best way to travel
That was a badminton court lol
Oops haha
lmao those kids were marching to military music
LOL 😂 😂 😂 I was pretty amused with them
Taiwan has opened for tourists just today! So you can travel there without quarantine and no need for Visa, just like before the pandemic!
Awesome, thank you! No visa for me, but Thuong needs one.
👍
Super
I’m afraid u miss out quite a bit nice scenery with route just rode “ Should have continue travel all the way from MBS connect to Garden by the bay “ Very beautifully surrounding ,
good
for some Instagram photoshoot “
We will have to come back to try that route too.
From the timeline you are describing, it seems you filmed this around 2 weeks ago. Try uploading your videos quicker next time! Then you'll be able to get some pretty good live and timely tips from the locals while you are still in the country :)
We wanted to, but we were only there for a week and chose to prioritize filming more videos while there and edit after we left. Also, we did try to get some of the first videos up earlier, but our wifi did not work well in our first hotel sadly.
To answer your question. Taiwan is opening up for tourism on Oct 13th!
Awesome, thanks!
Ultraman pose by Thuong 🤭. Lost in Singapore? Quite impossible. Its an island.. u will always find your orientation 👍.. but I give credit to Team TWC biking after 2pm 👍👍 near the equator...
Haha true 😂 It wasn't too hot today actually.
"This is Taiwan" indicates they'll be opening up on the 13th of Oct.
Awesome, thank you!
Yeah Taiwan is open, even for tourism ;)
Awesome!
@@TwoWheelCruise I'm going back to Taiwan in few months aswell, hopefully I will see you on the biking paths ;)
8:09 badminton court
Thanks!
Spectacular very clean city. Serious fines for discarding trash on the streets. Should be like that everywhere. Have you seen any graffiti???
We saw lots of "street art" on the sides of buildings, but it all looked nice and there wasn't any dirty graffiti.
No and don't!!! bad idea even to think about it. For what? any wall paint signature will be slammed with harsh law of buttock cane. Yes, there are Only Street Artist designated zone to have fun, check first. Read up old news Michael Fay and Swiss Software Engineer got whipped because of silly graffiti and car vandalism. Btw, CCTV are everywhere, it's matter of time the police look and lock up whoever did it.
I didn't think rollerblades were still a thing.
Apparently they are in Singapore
Noice.
Nobody is honking unnecessarily.
Surprised they allow bicycles on all the pedestrian paths. I can imagine it can be inconvenient for pedestrians once it is more crowded and cyclists are not as careful as you.
I believe they expand or separate the paths with more traffic
royal bike a smooth bike for fun ride. but me personally never put smart phone like that a pick pocket here use motorcycle to grab smartphone and run like a ninja.
Definitely better safe than sorry. Thankfully this doesn't seem to be common in Singapore.
Dude cycling side by side with those large trailer vehicles is suicidal please don't do that. There are already a few fatal accidents with large vehicles in the past few months in Singapore
We will try to be more careful!
Once a while u will see crazy singaporean scolding u for cycling on footpath. Haha
Hopefully not if you're riding respectfully.
🚵Yeah!🐻👍🏞️
The sports court at 8:20 is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sepak_takraw
Thank you!
