Hi Cruise and Thuong, really nice to meet you in Singapore. We had good time spend together here. I love your storytelling and the views that you manage to show around Singapore. Hopefully next time we will meet in Da Nang. (before that I need some training :) Welcome come back to Singapore again. I can't wait to show you around more places in Singapore.
It was awesome for both of you to attempt a century in Singapore; alongside another up and coming local UA-camr, @妮妮江ninijiang that I’ve subscribed to. Such is the synchronicity of a lifestyle on two wheels made even more unforgettable with local insight and pace. Hope to visit both Singapore and Danang soon. The vegetable you asked at Bollywood Farm is known as Si Gua Luo (絲瓜囉) or loofah/ luffa gourd. The ridged skin is meant to be peeled off and the flesh is diced up and stir fried with eggs.
Lots of other countries invest in their cycling infrastructure and walkable cities. Sadly most places in the US only prioritize cars, but at least there are a lot of good MTB trails and gravel in the US.
We stayed in Singapore just half a day, but stayed in Malaysia for one week in Kuala Lumpur ,and travelled into the countryside meeting with the locals eating all the great food!
Thanks for taking us on a "around the island" tour in Singapore! In my wildest dreams, I would never have imagined experiencing what such a bicycle adventure would look like. Everything looked so appealing, surrounded by peaceful ocean views, to say nothing of the amazing food breaks and bike infrastructure. This content is idyllic in so many ways. We appreciate the originality and high quality of your content, and, of course, you do a great job hosting the video shoot featuring your signature matter of fact commentary that always gives us just the right amount and type of information. Got to give you credit, too, for the really cool cycling outfits you guys wear in general and in this video in particular. Just wondering if the wet roads splashed up any water onto your clothing, and if so how you deal with it. Lastly, I have a honking horn on my hybrid similar to the one on your borrowed bike. I rarely use my honker (nice to have, though), and I have a bell, too, which is my go-to warning most of the time. Wouldn’t mind seeing video content shot in heavier rain (sorry) to get some idea of how you would cope with it and still have fun. Oh yes, it was great to have your wife share her thoughts in English near the end. It adds an important perspective on your cycling experience in Singapore. By the way, the country looks beautiful!
Thank you so much! We were very impressed during our time in Singapore. We have a few older videos of cycling tours with days in the rain and I made a tips video for riding in the rain as well. ua-cam.com/video/FQDzp9XdfrQ/v-deo.html We're trying to challenge Thuong to start trying to speak more English in the videos lately, so glad to hear you like it.
Its so interesting that you are multilingual, english, japanese, chinese, vietnamese. Its nice that language is not a barrier for getting together and cycle! :)
This is so amazing guys, love Singapore, love the view! I hope you have more of this, because that is gorgeous and such a great relaxation, not to mention it is great to watch while I'm on the exercise bike. Thuong looks very good in the new bike outfit! I love runny eggs too, watching Thuong's face made me chuckle a little :D What an ocean view, and those trees... That road is so great! We have similar ones in Stockholm, where the road is fully separated from the cars, and even double laned for incoming and ongoing traffic, it is much better indeed Haha, I love the sounds of the hub too, it always reminds me that this is not biking, and biking is always wonderful :) Seems like that tarmac is supersmooth.. you guys are just gliding...
I saw the video from that singaporian girl, who rode with you, She struggled on that one hill with 3% gradient. Afterwards you said to her, she should not use so easy gears, better heavier gears. Why did you recommend that? I mean, a harder gear for her would not make her faster, but more pain to spin the crank. I guess she is a beginner and for a beginner it is better a higher cadence than a slower cadence on hills. When she always pushes the same watts, it is less painful with a higher cadence than a lower cadence. She needs to work on her watts, not on the cadence in my opinion. It would be interesting, how you meant that exactely?
I noticed that during our ride she was not really changing her gears. This was a problem that Thuong used to have where she did not realize when or how she should change gears based on the terrain. On that hill, I thought she was struggling more because of the high cadence and suggested she try a bigger gear to see if it would be easier for her.
Wow! What a great ride and cycling paths. Good to see a community that is supportive and provides the infrastructure for cyclists. Be safe. Be well. Blessings.
How unfortunate. It's been the rainy season recently. We do have months that are mostly dry. Hope you guys will have better luck with the weather! Hopefully will have a chance to bump into you guys. If not, enjoy your stay in SG
I have to say next to your videos of Taiwan this one of your ride around Singapore is one of my favorite videos. I commented in one of your earlier Singapore videos how amazing the infrastructure for cyclists is top notch. Where I live here in Texas not so much, there dedicated bike lanes through some of the neighborhoods and along some major roads, where you still have a lot of interaction with autos, so safety is a major concern. Singapore is legit. Thank you Cruise for sharing the adventure. Enjoy the Ride!
Thanks Sam! Singapore is legit and we really miss Taiwan. Hopefully be able to go back soon (though Thuong's visa is more complicated now since she doesn't have Japan residence).

What would be the best way to order a bike from Mobot within the EU? I would be very thankful for such information here or in a video. Greetings from Germany :-)
I believe they're working on entering the EU market, so hopefully they have a better solution soon. Now the import/shipping fees are expensive so you're almost better off coming to Singapore on vacation and bringing the bike back with you.
@@TwoWheelCruise That's what I thought and would do - only my family won't tolerate to go to Singapore just for shopping ;-) But actually I've been to Singapore with a folding bike and my camera and had the best time. Yeah, we just realized that this week 😂 we still have a lot to learn since we don’t know anything about vertical short video and using popular music/trends
@@TwoWheelCruise believe me. I’m not expert. Haha. But UA-cam promote shorts and ig promote reels. Essentially both being a tik tok style format. So I would do both. I notice that the music of shorts being limited to 15 seconds. But you can do 60 second shorts but will have use the original video audio I suppose because only the first 15 seconds can have the UA-cam audio song selected. Maybe better to do 15 seconds and pick a very popular song

It's connected to the Mobot light so it uses the same battery.
Wow, really inane commentary
YUCK soft boiled eggs sorry i would throw up 5 minutes hard boiled for me only i like the Camp bikes look good how about prices in USD ?.
Check their website for prices. Going to be more expensive with shipping outside of Singapore though.
The toilets at 16:01 🤯 Oh Singapore must you taunt us with your infrastructure?
This bathroom was really nice!
As a UA-camr also, I would say try more UA-cam shorts for yours and thuong’s channel. I think UA-cam is really trying to promote it.
My channel is tiny. I remember one of my shorts hit 35k in a few hours 😅
Great Video! Contacted Mobot they don't rent out bikes so this idea for my visit next week lost momentum very quickly!
