100 Plus was created in Singapore in the 80s to celebrate the 100th birthday of the soft drinks company Fraser and Neave (F&N). It’s spread around the region in the last 30ish years.
I love how clean it is and how safe it looks for cycling and walking it shows you that you can cater for cars bikes pedestran and trains. which is pretty impressive. I like the green fields their as well
This video is just a joy to watch with a beer relaxing after my long day at work. No honking, beeping, or unnecessary stress. It's so nice to see you riding with the proper respect you deserve as a cyclist and a talented UA-camr. We're all lucky here that you continue to make stellar content. Singapore definitely is on the list of places for me to visit now.

really glad you enjoyed the cycling infrastructure in singapore. Its good when there isn't that many people using the cycling paths Its scary when you go to punggol or east coast.
Welcome to Singapore! It's funny as I been watching and following your Japan rides as guide when visiting Japan for years but even now when you visit Singapore I am actually learning from you too as a Singaporean cyclist haha! I never cycle at Jurong Lake area before! Very nice to see you two cycling with @妮妮江ninijiang too have fun in Singapore with the very easy rides 😀 You can try out simple trail rides by renting a mountain bike and ride at Coney Island if you have time for a different feel of Singapore.
Thank you! 😃 Japan can be tricky to navigate by bike if it's your first time, but Singapore was very straightforward even though this was our first ride without any serious planning.
Welcome to Singapore, glad you guys are here to experience riding on the pcns.. been following your channel. ☺️ If you are still around, try out the seletar airport area trail that can link you to Yishun and punggol if you have time to explore North Eastern area of sg.
Love your videos mate I'm from Australia and have just started my own youtube channel with some rides on my ebike. Keep up the great videos they are awesome to watch and inspires me to make more content 😀 thank u

Your tour on the folding bikes looks so much fun. Singapore is beautiful and clean. They sure have the right idea with bike and pedestrian paths. We live on Maui. I could see a cycling infrastructure here similar to Singapore. I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming videos of your tour.
Marina Bay to Changi Village using PCN along the coast is a very good ride , scenic & good food at Changi Village hawker center. You can take your bikes & get on the MRT ( trains ) to anywhere u want, buses too - it's allowed.
@@TwoWheelCruise Yes I saw your clip, that pretty Singaporean cyclist can show you other hawker centres ( not food courts ) plenty in Spore, food is good & prices fair. If time permits go Sentosa Island & in the evening try Spore River
Hi guys, hope you are enjoying your stay here. Just a thing about the cycling culture here. Our paths are really mostly shared paths even though there are dividing lines and stuff. It will be quite common to see pedestrians walking on cycling paths and cyclists riding on walking paths etc. I don't think you need to ring the bell or use the horn or anything. Most cyclists here will slow down and navigate past pedestrians even if they are walking on the cycling path. Nobody likes a beep on the road or on the path. Right?
The most I hate while cycling is drain cover bang.. I always try to avoid it as it scares the pedestrians.. I wish drain cover could have some kind of sound dampening, I know it's too much to ask.. any tricks from other cyclist?
Footpaths are meant for pedestrians only and not for bicycles which are vehicles. But locals are tolerant to share footpaths with cyclists. It’s best for cyclists to dismount and push your bicycle while on crowded footpath. It is good practice to alert pedestrian ahead of you to ring your bells or announce “sorry, excuse me”
Welcome to Singapore! I stumbled upon your channel a while a go when I started bike commuting and wanted options for bike bags! Surreal to see you guys riding around my neighbourhood!

Singapore is so clean. I think the bike paths along major thoroughfares is really essential. They did a great job. No one would ride along the cars. Any plans to move there, even if temporary? It looks like a wonderful place to live. Let's discover Singapore, 80's style Thuong-san! Let's go!
So nice to see you cycling in Singapore, been watching your videos for long and my favorites have been Japan rides.. cool to see you in neighborhood.. may be will bumb into you on next weekend..
Oh yah, Cruise/Thuong, before I forget, don't forget to go for a evening ride to the Marina Bay promenade (marina bay sands and merlion park) and Satay at Boon Tat street or either Satay by the bay at Marina Barage....Just close to each other....Cheers!
Try googling Singapore cycling routes and you will have lots of combination. There is a dedicated strip of road to do some road cycling around East Coast park area. And do try cycling into Sentosa. Free entry for cyclist irrc.
You look like you’re having fun! I am not familiar with these bikes but they look like very clear and good copies of the Brompton bicycle I’ve ridden first in New York City and now here in Arizona. Enjoy, theyre fun, comfortable and convenient.
Thank you! Yes, there are a couple different new brands that use the same folding style as Brompton now that the patent has expired. These ones are good quality and we have used them for a year now.
While there is a pretty robust park connector network across the island overall, cycling around the older neighbourhoods is still not very conducive. The government only really started to build these cycling paths quite recently in the last 5-10 years so there's still quite a lot of the old pavements that are kinda narrow (which makes it quite annoying to cycle across when there are many pedestrians about) and many of the older neighbourhoods currently have very limited cycling paths/wide pavements. Also some of the pavements are basically impossible to widen due to various infrastructure/old trees that have already been built around them as the government did not originally plan for cycling paths back then. But if you go to many of the newer neighbourhood towns, there are many nice wide pavements built with cyclists in mind. However, they have been widening and renovating many of the old pavements over time so I am optimistic that it will be even nicer to cycle around the country in another 5-10 years time.
Sound like a typical Singaporean who complains alot. I used to ride escooter, electric unicycle, mountain bikes and road bikes. I love our PCNs. It isn’t possible to make wide tracks every place that u want. You have to accept that for some places, we have to stick with the old pavements. How then? Just adjust your thinking and go slow and share the path with pedestrians. What’s the point of complaining or nitpicking about such small stuff?
@@foodmore uh, what? You seem to be the only one complaining 'a lot' it seems. I praised the pcn network right on my first line and said I was optimistic about how much more it can improve with time and made one minor complaint as the pcn network definitely still has issues. Unless you are somehow insinuating the pcn network is currently perfect as it is and no longer needs any improvements?
Welcome to Sg. Do explore the park connectors, eventually it's supposed to connect the whole island but right now still WIP. Some nice parks to consider riding too...Bishan Park, Punggol Waterways, East Coast - there are park connectors and cycling path where road bikes usually go fast. It's called Tanah Merah Coastal Road - TMCR. You can also try going round island estimated 168km or 128km depending on route you take. Anyway do also explore the street hawker food in and around Sg..

It is a great way to explore Singapore by bike, though some places are still in development of cycling path. Eastern and north-eastern regions have excellent cycling network (park connector network - PCN). In another few years time, probably you can cycle round the island solely on PCNs.
Its the four local languages for all notices and information board 1. Malay the national language 2. Mandarin 3. Tamil and lastly 4. English There's no Malaysian language in Singapore, they represents the country Malaysia its citizen.
It was a fun route and we learned a lot from cycling here. Hopefully we can organize something during our next trip now that we are more familiar with things.
Haha I can see that Cruise is still super excited and high on adrenaline after posting this video, how do I know that? He replied to at least 90% of the comments below 🤣🤣🤣 Just want to introduce a little about SG's unique housing model. 80% of its residents live in public housing (aka HDB flats). When you hear public housing, many people would imagine them to be small, dark and dingy, on the contrary, these are really well designed housing with manicured gardens and shared leisure space. There are shops, supermarkets, schools and sports amenities in the neighbourhood to provide convenience to the residents. The SG gov started the public housing scheme in 1960s, the goal was to house as many people as possible and making them affordable. The flats have 99 year land lease, and technically the gov own the flats. But the gov started a Home Ownership Scheme where they allow residents here to "buy" the flats at heavily subsidised rates and owners are allowed to "sell" the flats in an open market to get capital gain. But the gov is still the eventual owner, it paints the buildings every 7 years, it decides which blocks are to be torn down and manages the cleaning of common areas. The owners don't collectively make those decisions, unlike in private housing where a residents' committee will be formed or a management company will be appointed to handle these matters. Compared to many cities in the world and its long time rival Hong Kong, SG's housing policies have proved to be on many levels above. Unfortunately, things have gone a bit wrong (or to many people, VERY wrong) in recent years. More and more large HDB flats are selling about 2 to 3 times its original subsidised prices to above SGD$1 million. Even smaller ones have seen prices rocketing, many people can't afford them. And if they want to buy directly from the gov, the wait is long because of construction disruptions and a surge in demand. Public housing has become more difficult to afford, further and further away from the gov's initial goal. The gov has reiterated countless times that they are monitoring the situation closely and will take action when necessary to cool down prices. We'll see.
I still try to respond to most every comment when I can, especially within the first day of a new video. Thank you for sharing more information about public housing in Singapore!
12:14 Kinda like Thuong speaking in Japanese though, it seems much more natural for her and its nice to see her articulate her thoughts in a language she is comfortable in
Some of the things I like are… Everything looks very clean and well maintained. The street signs are like those in the U.S. and mostly in English (thus making the learning curve easier). The traffic looks orderly. The bikes seem perfectly suitable for the riding that you did. For casual and exploration purposes. Always nice to have convenient storage too. On another note, the saddle that Thuong was riding looks more conforming than yours. How was it?
*sometimes it's freezing at night when riding on the PCN and when it's raining it can get cold at night visit Singapore on December when it's cooler* 🇸🇬
I love the commentary so much. What do you mean by it's illegal to use the horn in Japan though? Also, from the last video. What's the difference with those fancy wheels with the tri spokes or something?
What a difference a safe cycle track , in a well designed and clean area, free of beeping maniacs, makes to the simple joy of a bike ride together ! Is Singapore that hard to get a visa to live there ? Looks pretty good from here !
I think it should not be difficult if you have a proper job and visa sponsor, but I don't think they have many options for freelancers who aren't married to a local.

Thank you for the information! Excited to see how it develops.
Love you guys!!
Thank you! 😃

Splendid roads and scenery.
Never had a chance to explore Singapore , but that will happen , some time soon !
It’s a great place to explore!
I think you can ride on the old Bukit timah rail road .
Haha I can see that Cruise is still super excited and high on adrenaline after posting this video, how do I know that? He replied to at least 90% of the comments below 🤣🤣🤣
Just want to introduce a little about SG's unique housing model.
12:14 Kinda like Thuong speaking in Japanese though, it seems much more natural for her and its nice to see her articulate her thoughts in a language she is comfortable in
Greenerys along the way ridings.
12:40 you should definitely have a picnic in one of those immaculate parks, as long as it's legal over there
Looks like a lot of fun
@@TwoWheelCruise Can consider botanic gardens if you want to picnic :)
Love Singapore! Enjoy!
Thanks! 😃
Visit Little Guilin At Bukit Gombak MRT. You wont be disappointed :D
How was it?
Yeah, all of that was great! Her saddle is more comfy than mine for sure, but I don’t mind more firm saddles
Welcome to singapore 🇸🇬. Signs are mostly written in 4 languages: English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil.
Thank you!
*sometimes it's freezing at night when riding on the PCN and when it's raining it can get cold at night visit Singapore on December when it's cooler* 🇸🇬
Thanks for the info, good to know.
don't you miss all the honking and beeping from vietnam?
Our ears enjoyed the rest haha
Tou can try to go rower bay and seletar aerosoace where everynight there are ppl doing loops.
Thanks!
Welcome to Singapore!
Thank you! 😃
Try east changi dinosaur park
That will be our next next video.
I love the commentary so much. What do you mean by it's illegal to use the horn in Japan though?
Also, from the last video. What's the difference with those fancy wheels with the tri spokes or something?
Check out our cycling laws in Japan video, I go into more detail there. The trispoke wheels are carbon, so lighter and faster and cooler looking.
I like your bikes that you hired, I have a funny feeling that you might move there on a permanent stay, fingers crossed 🤞
We're definitely gonna come back for some longer stays.
its possible to cycle to changi airport from east coast park through jurassic mile then you can take the mrt home haha
Next video 😉
Singapore is one of the safest country on earth
It sure is!
@@TwoWheelCruise take care and have fun on your SG honey, moon :)

All those bikes appear to not be secured to anything at 8:26, is bike theft not much of an issue?
I don't think bike theft is very common here.
