I love this EDF. My style, I already have the Avanti S V2 80mm and love the snot out of it, and I like this because it's tight, smooth and looks like a blast to fly. Just for fun, this "Riemann sum" since I'm a mathematician at heart, I'll idealize as the "essential or fundamental" RC 80mm sport flyer - I think I'm in love! :))
I picked up a FMS EDF Jet 70mm Avanti V2, waiting on bad weather to start building, I want to cover it with Solartex fabric. Check out the AtomRC Swordfish, 40 minutes flight time on a 4S....
Clean lines and futuristic looking bullet. Good job on the flying demo. Flight time is a little downer though, but I bet it is an adrenaline blast for that three minutes. Thanks for the review! 👍👍😀
Well done Captain !!! and...........your a "poet but dont know it"!!!! "where ever you point the nose, there it goes " !!!!!!; what a superb Craft and sound!; only concern is holy crap!!!!!; how does the Pilot see where he / she is going with that severe silver window tint !!!!
Hi Captain, can you tell me the width and height of the battery compartment, i need to know if my homemade 6s molicell pack will fit, as this will give me 6 min flight times. 🤞
I'm nowhere near this plane so I'll tell you this.... Go online and look up the width and height of a Spektrum 6S 4000 lipo battery, and try to keep yours around that size... obviously you could make it LONGER, but there is always the CG to consider.
I do mainly drones (camera and FPV), planes and helicopters. All are considered drones by all governments since they are remotely controlled and unmanned. If you mean “drones” as in the 4 motor type, then several such reviews are on the way during the month of June.
Great flying and great review but I have very hard to see someone with only one previous mid size plane experience flying a 100+mph sport jet without dunking it in the ground on their first turn, it’s a sensitive plane if you set it like the manual says and since more beginners tend to push the throttle to 100 I can see that little monster getting quickly out of their control
Yup, you definitely want a GYRO in the plane. In the days when I reviewed this plane, all FMS Planes came with a GYRO. Today that is no longer the case.
Any pilot knows to back off on the throttle. Can crash a 4s 64mm edf from going too fast too. It's a good beginner jet in the way that it flies. If u can't control ur throttle just trim it down to 70%.
@@M4rkmcc21 That is the dumbest advice i've read for flying an EDF. Jets already have no throttle response and thrust, 2 things you need the most to get out of a crash.
@toolbaggers that's the dumbest response to my post.. so my opinion was it can be a beginner jet just as much as a 64mm 4s jet where it's speed can be controlled by reducing throttle and not let it's top speed worry you thinking ud not be able to fly it. It flies just like a trainer and has a very friendly stall. And u go bananas talking about throttle response and thrust which I'm not even talking about. Keep trolling troll 🥱🥱
Just junk on the gravel runway. The locals use the runway to shoot off fireworks celebrations at this time of the year. Have a look at the plane assembly… there is absolutely nothing that would come off.
Way too much for a FIRST TIME PILOT, but after a pilot has become confident in flying their first propeller plane that is at least a meter wingspan, then they could fly this as their first EDF Jet.
I appreciate your response, but the fact is it still only 3 minutes seems a little silly to put that kind of money into something that you only get 3 minutes out of.
@@jdog9468Now you have to consider that the most popular RC hobby is the RC plane hobby as it has been around the longest. And pilots are used to a 3 min flight. This is how I explain it to non RC plane Jet pilots…. Remember the first time you had sex? To you it seemed like it lasted 15 min and was amazing when in actual fact it lasted barely 2 mins. Flying a Jet at over 100 MPH for 3 min is worth every second of the experience. Make sense now? 😅
I like the plane Steve. But it looks more cartoonish than futuristic. Thats justvmy opinion but it is the truth. Seems like good bang for the buck though but only compared to others in its class. We are getting so ripped off by these manufacturers. Think about a $200 drone and everything it comes with. 4 brushless motors a decent radio batteries etc. This thing is a piece of foam with one brushless motor. I know its a bit bigger but 4 smaller brushless motors would cost the same or more. A radio etc. Theres no way this plane should sell for $400 usd!!! $200usd maybe and thats still with plenry of profit for the manufacturer. Sorry Steve im just venting. These fools wont deliver to Vancouver island either. Thats what got me so riled up in the first place. They seem to deliver everywhere else in Canada. Its not like im up in Yukon. Im 30km away from Vancouver.
I could tell you why some RC planes cost plenty, but there is not enough space here to write all the reasons. I will say that the RC PLANE hobby is way cheaper than the drone hobby when comparing a quality drone with a quality plane. For Canada, if I need to buy an FMS plane, I contact my friends at Canada’s Great Hobbies and they get it for me. Also, often times FAIR RC has FMS planes in stock in their Canadian warehouse. I can get FMS planes direct FMS in China (many of the ones I review), but I get them through a distributor & pay Canadian customs/duties on top of other costs.
Great review Steve...that flies great but i cant wrap my head around the styling of it
Yeah, it doesn't look futuristic like they are trying to say. It looks more cartoonish than anything else

Thanks for checking it out!
Always the best reviews , to the point .
Thank you kindly!
I'll second that. A great presentation every time!
Good review again Steve
Really nice jet cool review great video I like the set up
some power that has Steve really shifts the style slim for speed, have to wait for pension to build up, great review again Captain.👍

Fun video ! 🤣
That is a cool jet !
Great review Cap !
Thanks 👍
brilliant review Captain
Thank you!
Enjoy the weekend captain
How much for the total package? Transmitter, battery, charger etc.
I've been practicing on my flight simulator I just got ok... now do actual planes fly exactly as in the flight simulator?... Love your vids!!
Yes, they fly the same when there is no wind.
Awesome review. When r we getting more drone reviews.

Again a very nice video ´ and plane👌👌👌
Sounds great!
Where are all 13 servos located?

What radio?
Beautiful plane! Fast as can be! Not really liking the 3 min flight time though
That's what u get with a 80mm edf on a 4000. Esp when going fast. Put a 5000 in and 4 min timer. Want more? Fly props.
Cool one
It would be great if they shipped to canada
You can ask the folks at Canadian Great Hobbies to order one in. As well, Fair RC sometimes has planes in its Canadian warehouse.
Looks like if the fms flash and futura had a baby😂 awesome jet🤌🏻❤️
I agree!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 😁✌🏼
With that fast of a plane, the pilot should really be an intermediate level pilot. One small mistake and they will be on the ground quick!
Have you flown it?

Morning
nice stuff
Nice
At 9 seconds a part fell off during the take off
That was just junk on the ground being tossed up
the plane lost something with takeoff, before 0.08 sec, red
also saw that
Just junk on the gravel runway. The locals use the runway to shoot off fireworks celebrations at this time of the year. Have a look at the plane assembly… there is absolutely nothing that would come off.
I think, as tempting as it is, may be a bit too much power for a beginner...but I guess you'll never know if you don't try.

Do you want fast and ugly, take this ! 🤣 Just joking. Good FMS quality 👍🏼
😊😊😊
😄🤌
Great review but I am not buying something that you only get 3 min. of flight time. That is stupid and ridiculous!
Trust me when I say… flying a high powered jet makes 3 min seem like 30 as you are super focused.
I appreciate your response, but the fact is it still only 3 minutes seems a little silly to put that kind of money into something that you only get 3 minutes out of.

Mini 2 se pls
The design comes sadly from Tomahawk … 🤣
Hands Down the ugliest RC Plane I've ever seen.
This plane design has people in two camps… Love it or Not Loving it
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I agree. It has the paint finish of the Tomahawk which I like a lot , but the shape of this plane is too cartoonish for my taste.

Yes, 1950's cartoon style of 'futuristic.'
