My brain must be wired differently than other people, because for me JJK has been the most phenomenal and thrilling weekly reading experience I've personally partaken to (I'm talking about the reading in itself; the community reactions is something else...) but it seems that a lot of people really got upset by it. On the other hand, for what I've seen people seem to really enjoy reading Chainsaw Man week to week while I find it to be most of the time frustrating and underwhelming more than anything-but then I read it in manga form and I actually end up enjoying the chapters I've read on a weekly basis a lot more
i mean if you like reading a manga that doesnt go anywhere but at least keeps you entertained for 5 minutes a week, then JJK is certainly the manga for you

I still love JJK but sadly, I feel like the Mangaka quit on the series. If Gege was having health issues, Considering it's popularity, I'm sure Weekly Shonen Jump would have accommodated Gege by giving him the Togashi, Oda schedule. The final year of the manga read like, "let me just wrap this up". One Piece super fans are hilarious.
What I find annoying is when something popular ends and the ending isn't received well so suddenly the entire thing was trash. Like brother I saw JJK glazing left right and center but the moment the last chapter dropped everyone was acting like if the entire series was the worst piece of dogshit to have ever existed
i mean an ending is wildy important for a story it fucks whatever was before it up when alot of it had no purpose or cool character plot lines arent fleshed it...its not confusing at all that a shit ending (jjk had a pathetic lets just end this shit ending) can and will leave such a bad taste in the fans mouths that things fall apart in hindsight.
there is a very simple answer it's because before it ends there is a chance that the series can fix it's self. but jjk just ended and left a punch of issue as well as having an unsatisfying ending.
I think the one piece fandom has a lot of crazy fans. I love one piece, but I’m not an avid reader, I just read when I wanna read it, but there are some crazy fans that will literally defend their favorite character so much you’d think they literally could do no wrong. There’s a lot of sane people though, and it’s great to talk about how good one piece is with people.
5:24 as a one piece fan (this might be all anime fandoms idk) the fandom is a cult. You can’t say anything bad about the series and they meat ride the author unlike any other fandom I’ve seen. If you point out anything wrong with the writing you’re wrong and oda’s thought of this since the first chapter.
I think that binge reading arcs is the best way to read, pausing only when arcs end. Cause some volumes leave crazy cliff-hangers (Tokyo ghoul, my beloved). Great vid so far (I’m not done yet), have a good day (whoever is reading it). Also chainsaw man is easily in the new gen big 3.
i would say there is no such thing as "new gen big 3". but if i had to take a stand on this i would say jjk, bnha, and demon slayer. not because of quality or anything like that, but because of the impact each one had on the industry
people forgetting what made the big 3 THE BIG 3 simply put the best/most popular airing at the same time something that also makes the big 3 different is the fact that back in the day we didn't have hiatus, we had fillers, so they aired back to back no breaks, there can never be a new big 3 because the big 3 was only possible because of the old views on anime and the way anime was broadcasted.
As of now, I feel like JJK is good. Very good, even. However, it had so much potential in the world and world building we simply didn't get to see. The story is predominantly about Yuji and Sukuna with one movie about Yuta, so the history of the universe isn't necessarily relevant to what's going on but still. The biggest feeling at the end of all this is that I don't really feel satisfied, and I don't feel like I spent enough time with most of the cast to be deeply attached to them.
People turned on JJK because eventually they realized it has nothing to offer but cool fights and power system. The pacing was so break neck fast it was like tying the audience to a bullet train using a leash and just letting it speed away. We spent no down time with the characters that would give us insight into their deeper values, motivations, internal conflicts, complex relationships. We are not attached to any of them. Ever since Shibuya it has basically been nonstop action and that’s just too much. You normally have a slow period after a big battle arc but no, Gege just kept going. At this point it’s downright unbelievable that any of these people fought to that level of intensity day and night for days straight week in and week out without at least a few days of rest or hospital stays. It’s as if you let a hardcore power scaler draw a manga.
That's a hit and miss. We had downtime for characters to talk, but we also had jumps as well. And def enough time for us to be attached, or had fights, but characters were always explored through the fights. Its fast paced manga as well too. With curses its realistic why they don't take much breaks, i mean, gojo literally only has 3 hours of sleep.
Tbh for me I was more mad at the fact that it was even made a big deal at all. I think it should’ve just been a small background thing, but since it was mentioned so much in the manga it felt like we should’ve seen something related to it, but instead we got nothing which is probably why people got so dissatisfied with it. It felt like the author just opened a door and didn’t let us go through it.
@@silvermatter1739 i mean its like any other "big threat" the viallain has. Stopping the nuke before the last number, killing enemy before his big plan. Its the same for any plan they had, it was a build stacks and to stop it.
Why? Because shounen is forever tied to the stigma of being just cool fights, fanservice and comedy for kids with no substance (unless you are HunterXHunter, that one is ok because its the one cool and based people like) and if you are not AoT or FMA, you are a mid anime because reasons 😂

One piece fans being toxic is complicated because it’s due to its sudden popularity and size that makes it seem more toxic then it is. Also the fact that there are certain people who diss the series without watching it or just out of spite. I will say it’s not the most innocent community for sure.
Mahoraga’s adaptation works by sampling an attack taken from his opponent and when enough samples have been gathered, he analyzes the attack to the most fundamental level which is signified by the spinnning of the 8-handled wheel above his head. During the spinning of the wheel, Mahoraga is modifying his body composition to render the sampled attack useless against him thereafter. The modifications are in the terms of body matter properties, cursed energies and Mahoraga can also modify cursed techniques he has sampled or invent new cursed techniques with similiar principles to the ones he has sampled. The adaptation works in a similiar fashion for offensive purpose as it does for defense. This allowed Mahoraga to bypass Gojo’s infinity by cutting the world, which was a modification of Sukuna’s Dismantle technique, this confirms that Mahoraga can copy cursed techniques which he has sampled in earlier battles. So Mahoraga’s adaptation is not just a cursed technique or a property of his cursed energy, it is a divine passive ability which grants him infinite potential for using all types of cursed techniques and cursed energies. An ability befitting the Divine General

Its not that its just the pacing and lack of tension/build up for such a anticlimactic ending. So much foreshadowing and none of it was followed up.
