This was a great show. A Canadian friend had gotten me hooked on GBS a couple years before. I was in Toronto and made my way to see them that night. This Texan had a great time that night.
If you feel the warmth radiating from this band on this video you will feel it tenfold when you see them live! We've seen them three times, plus the great treat of meeting Alan after his solo show, and those were incomparable concerts. GBS are kings, indeed.
Thats categorically awesome, hope you had a great day then at work! Majorly late response and hey lol with the one song hey being connected with the Bruce's (its a long one but... bear with me lol) yeah genuinely a descendant of Clan Bruce lol, I could become the Monarch in Scotland, its about as likely as the Pope to become a Protestant but it could happen as much as him becoming a Monarch in Canada pmsl! I love that band soo much!
maaaan, I still listen to audio rips i made of this show back in 2004. I'm so glad you posted this to youtube. I don't think the original streamed version still exists. The setlist on this tour was amazing. They were clearly rejuvenated by the change in line up and generally having a consistent touring drummer now.
I love the tone and timbre of their voices and how they harmonize, but with an 'edge', no other band like them! Newfoundlanders are very special people!
They need to and hey like I said to someone else haha: "Majorly late response and hey lol with the one song hey being connected with the Bruce's (its a long one but... bear with me lol) yeah genuinely a descendant of Clan Bruce lol, I could become the Monarch in Scotland, its about as likely as the Pope to become a Protestant but it could happen as much as him becoming a Monarch in Canada pmsl! I think I figured it out it makes a lot of mistakes you freaking eliminate one mistake and you need to keep on going finally get all your mistakes taken care of and you're perfect
I've been a metalhead most of my life, but GBS (along with Fury in the Slaughterhouse and Villagers of Ioannina City) is one of the few "other" bands I could listen to all day long. And yes, you may check out the other two now. Lol.
@@woodenstoolstudios7211 I haven't watched the GBDVD in 15 years, but Kris is GBS's only live-show drummer. Every now and again someone might have sat in on a song or two as a lark - even Alan and Sean took their turns at Kris's drum kit on occasion - and there were drum tracks on their albums all the way back to the early days, but to the best of my knowledge, Kris is the Great Big One & Only Live Drummer.

My friend Chris & I enjoy your music. We have seen you in concert in Vancouver BC. My friend Chris Hoffman especially enjoys dancing to your music.
How come I've missed these guys for so many years? Totally great! Going to buy the back catalogue! Love and peace.

Time for a reunion tour boys!
I have seen them in concert over 10 times and every time was amazing.
I love the tone and timbre of their voices and how they harmonize, but with an 'edge', no other band like them! Newfoundlanders are very special people!
This is so accurate and yet succinct. Thanks.
My first GBS concert. Never forget it
This is one of the great bands I could listen to all day/night.
Thanks for this!
Being in London, England, this is probably as close as I'll ever get to seeing these guys in concert (solo or as a group)!
They totally rock...seen them twice so far and incredible performance from Alan Doyle and band.👌
My friend Chris & I have enjoyed dancing to your music ! Seen you in Vancouver B.C Canada!
need too see them live again. I hope they do a reunion. I bet they will.

" Yeah..... lol
"And Bob broke out his fiddle and danced naked across the floor" :)
I saw them two or three times on this tour. Each show was great. MY favorite GBS tour I've seen.
Bob Hallett is one talented motherfu**er! They all are but wow!
Love listening to/watching them preform.. there's always so much energy from both the group and the crowd! Not to mention the great music too!
people who don't like this music they are crazy!!!

Love, love, love GBS! Best band around! I am not from there, but a good friend in NL introduced me to them a few years ago.

TORONTO!!! A great big sea of a city!
Love them!!
There you go!
It's Irish Fest weekend in Oshkosh. Gotta start it with some good music, and GBS fits the bill. Too bad they aren't going to be there!
This is awesome music.

Why is Dwight Schrute at the concert? 1:13:14
"I'll vote for you!" :-)
😊
I wonder if anyone has a digital dvd quality version of this concert. Hint, hint, hint Alan, Bob, Sean
*PADDY MURPHY!!!*
#crazy
Great stuff. I am new to these guys. Can you list the names of the songs so I can buy them?
lol...
Bob: stranger things have recently happened
Alan: yes George Bush became president so I figure I can become king!
Hurray for newfies
Alan almost sounds auto tuned lol
is this Kris on the drums???
Yes. Kris MacFarlane is the only live drummer GBS ever had. And the only live drummer Alan has ever had too.
@@BetweenTheRock great big DVD was someone else though, right?

He's killer anyway...
Bob was kind of flat on that Newfoundlanders tune....
