    Hi Camilla, two questions if you dont mind.
    1. Are the legacy notes sufficient for the elective exams?
    2. Are the workshop tasks for the electives asked in the exam just like it was for the core modules?
    Thanks for the informative video!

    This was a very helpful video but im not sure why i really dont understand BLP, im struggling with it quite badly especially all of the maths like the tax, balance sheets etc.... , do you have any other tips on how to revise all of the content or how to do the maths calulations, how to tab that huge butterworths book haha and how to understand BLP? i find that i will do the reading and do the prep work but i wont undertsand it or remember it? I have my exams in may and im just so worried. thank you x

    • @Camillatalks
      @Camillatalks  5 місяців тому

      I also struggled to remember the reading.
      I used distinction level legacy notes from eBay and practiced using them to answer the workshop questions, specimen and mock papers. We get given templates and structures for most things like board and general meetings and answering tax questions. The legacy notes provided me with a good structure that I could apply to the problem questions.
      As consolidation practice the workshop questions again and again with your notes until you can do them with ease. I must have done the tax workbook at least 5-10 times.
      If you need a tutor, Message me on instagram @legalmillie as I have some time to check over your workshop answers if that would help.
      Good luck x

      Honestly just do the workshop questions and the practice workbook questions as many times as you can until you can do the questions easily. I was so lost at first but the more I did it the easier it became. It just takes practice. I will have another think to see if I can make a video about it, but those are my tips in the meantime :)

    Hey, first of all, congratulations on your exams, you really smashed it^^ secondly, your video is very helpful,and thanks for sharing.
    Can you please do one for Real Estate? Im really, really stucked. The exam is in almost less than 2 weeks. Trying to make templates and structured answers for exams but i keep going back to workshop 1 cause i feel i havent covered everything. And i still have,like 14.workshops to prepare.
    P.s:I didnt buy any materials ie legacy notes.
    Thanks 😊

    • @Camillatalks
      @Camillatalks  Рік тому +1

      Hiya, I'll try to make a video but I'm finding it difficult to make vids for Real Estate and DR as I don't have my materials folders any more - I threw a lot of stuff away after I finished the LPC. I just happened to have quite a lot of stuff for BLP on my computer as I sat that exam at home during the pandemic.
      I will see what I can do, but firstly, I would HIGHLY advise getting some legacy notes from eBay - they usually cost less than ten pounds and they will get emailed to you within 24 hours . Pick distinction level notes which are suitable for your law school. I did not sit even one exam without having legacy notes, and I used them almost solely for my revision/exam. I printed them out and tabbed them up so that I could navigate quickly to them, and used them to answer workshop tasks during revision so that I knew my way around them well.
      Some other quick tips from the top of my head:
      - Practice the MCQs daily from TODAY! The practice MCQs are very difficult (lots and lots of them) but after going through them over and over again I actually learnt a lot by trying to find the answers in books etc.
      - Make sure you can review a title and practice using the IDEA structure
      - mark up a PDF/word doc of the SCPCs with the information we are taught about what the effect of the clauses are and when you might want to vary them.
      - Start practicing the specimen exam early
      - Do all the workshop tasks again.
      -- Make templates for the alterations questions and the 1954 act questions (Leases).
      - I think there is a revision lecture on Elite which is really good - find it and watch it.
      - There is also an exam feedback lecture or some slides I found somewhere on Elite, find that and watch it if you can.
      Again, I don't even have access to Elite and my memory of the syllabus is fading a bit. I will look through my notes and see what other tips I can remember after work. Good luck x

      @Camilla Uppal omg thank you so much for just even replying with such a detail. Thanks for the tips. The thing is i have no much time left and now the stressed kicked in, i dont know if I'll even have the chance to do all that. But thank you so much.
      Just a quick question. I read the book i made notes on them and i have my answers on workshops i just dont have a structure yet on them. Thats where i struggle the most. Do you still recommend the legacy notes? If so, is there one set of legacy notes? And also the legacy notes are based on question answering methods?
      Aw thank youu so much and thanks for trying to help x

    • @Camillatalks
      @Camillatalks  Рік тому +2

      @@CallmeZo-98 I didn't make any notes from the book at all. Zero. I cant say how good that method would be but the ebay notes are usually structured in a way that helps with answering exam questions. Get the ones with the colourful tables as I found those the best. They all should be ok though. Some may be a bit out of date so be vigilant and ready to update them if required.
      2 weeks is enough time but you need to be smart with time. Trust me and get the ebay notes!

    How do we know how much we need to write based on the marks?

    • @Camillatalks
      @Camillatalks  Рік тому +1

      It might sound obvious but if the question is a 5 marker then you don't have to write as much as if it was a 20 marker. A 5 marker probably only requires a couple of paragraphs where you make 3 or 4 points and apply the law to the facts.
      Also think about how long you should be spending on each question. A 3 hour paper with 100 marks will give you 1.8 minutes per mark. So if you have a 20 mark question then spend no longer than 36 minutes on that question and then move on to enable you to finish the paper.
