Even though they are an older model, I think the Bose QC35ii are the best package that I have tried. Good at everything but insanely comfortable which to me is important. Sound is pretty neutral with a slight bass emphasis. The Bose just sound right to me, I like the sound profile, not too bassy but with bass heavy tracks it is definitely there. I use them everyday and even though I also have the B&W PX7 (which for me have bass that overpowers everything), the QC35ii are still my go to headphones.
True that! It still scores better than the QC45, the V700, and also all the Sony XM models, even the 5. QC35 II still scores the best in audio. Amazing! I hope mine don't stop working haha.
Yeah it’s shocking that Bose has regressed with the later models particularly the Bose 700 which was originally panned by critics. It’s just that shitty Bose app that made it so bad and Bose originally requiring you to download the heavy app to use the product which is unnecessary red tape. Bose QC 35 was their flagship product, a major upgrade after QC 25’s wired headphones. Bluetooth is one of the greatest innovations in audio… I mean who wants to drop their phone when it gets tangled by a stupid wire. So Bose QC 35 was huge but the outer design, I thought was always ugly. Bose 700 design is far more sleek but the product pales compared to QC 35 not to mention double it’s price. So QC 35 I or II is easily the best bang for the buck (a best kept secret inside the offices of Bose). The only difference between QC 35 I or II is Google Assistant so either version is excellent if Google Assistant doesn’t matter to you.
@@xelefonte True, but hey QC45 is still better than all the Sony's so it's a good buy still to go with QC45. QC45 has almost the same design as QC35II as well so that's good. When/if my QC35II's break, I'll prob go with QC45.
Same!! Bought mine in March of 2017! Before flying to Maui from the east coast and still going!!! Bought replacements cushions for the ears in 2020 and still going Strong!
I got mine as a present in 2018, they’ve been left on a beach, they’ve had three ear pad replacements and have been destroyed by puppies multiple times, and they are still going as strong as ever. Best headphones ever!
@@starstatusvillarreal3747 I would say so. Still have mine. But ofc there are better headphones out there today, but not going to buy anything new before these ones break😂
Audiophiles trash the Bose QC35. The “Huffy” of ANC headphones. I’ve had mine for about 5 years. I’ve used it on airlines, trains and busses. Very efficient ANC and audio range is dynamic enough for me. The only negative is the ear cups can be uncomfortable after 5 hrs. or so.
I have a pair of QC45 that I bought brand new, then I picked up a pair of QC35ii second hand at marketplace and they sound better than my 45s😮 for a quarter of price 😢
Still have mine. 5~ years old. Replaced the battery last year, replaced the cushions 3 times. That cost money but cheaper than buying new set of headphones every time the cushions wear down. Likely will replace the headband and cushions next year.
Thank you very much for an awesome review! I'm currently planning to buy one as a student since my environment is kinda suck so having a nice comfortable headphones will be my life saver for incoming distractions. Nice video :DD
Ive had these for years and they still hold up well. Im surprised by build quality because theyve definitely took a bit if a beating. Sound profile is still good and feel great too. Props to Bose
I bought mine 3 days ago and I am really happy with this. I feel confort and it's delicious through my ears the joy that it brings to me. It is perfect and I think it's better than Xm3
I bought a pair in good condition and technically flawless for 90 dollars on eBay. Was that maybe too expensive? :D I’m curious to see how they turn out.
The mk2s are supremely comfortable but sound quality is markedly muffled in the mids. Even worse you need the (Google/Amazon sponsored?) app to fine tune the sound or adjust the noise cancelling levels.
I agree. Comfort is important. Also I much rather have the mechanical buttons than the touch sensors. A lot of people prefer the QC35 over the 45. So I am just going to wait.
I bought my Bose QC 35-2's three or four years ago and they are great. Also, like you said, a little bit of charging make them last for quite awhile. Kudos!
The left side speaker of my QC35 ii stopped working few weeks ago, I replaced it with an aftermarket one from Amazon. Now the headphones work again, I am not able to hear the difference.
i dont have a users manual.. can you PLEASE tell what each button is for on the actual headset? thanks so much!!! great review for average person.. im tech challenged lol
Rocking the Sony wh-ch520 and planning to get this bose qc 35 ii. No plans in buying brand new. If I can get one for 120 usd. It’ll be a great deal for me.
Yes but not to the point you notice it really come down to how thick the frame is, I use mine for gaming after having them for 6 years now . Personally all around 10/10 they function and sound just as good as the day I purchased them
If you want more bass my only recommendation it's look for any specific song on UA-cam and add "bass boost" or "epicenter" after the title your looking for, your ears will bleed 😊
I've got these in 2024... and I must say these headphones are awesome. The sound quality is great, and the battery life and recharge are magnificent. I have only one con about these headphones, which is the ear cups start to rip after a while of using them, but to me, it's not as big of a deal. They sell ear cups online everywhere for only a cheap price, and its very easy to replace. I'd give these bad boys 7.5/10. I would give of gave them an 8, but because of the ear cups issue, I had to set my standards a bit lower. Regardless, fantastic headphones.
Is it have to be necessarily turned to get a quality sound with the wire plugged in ? Coz in my experience i tried it off but the quality of the sound is just atrocious i mean it's working it's just the quality thing that's bothering me.
Is it me or are these headphones really quiet volume wise? I had them half max volume and it is way quieter than my AirPod pros at half max. Not sure what’s going on. They do sound louder wired tho
Hi. Thanks for the cool review! Is it still worth buying the QC 35 instead of the QC 45? I prefer the design of the QC35 but was wondering if it might be better to get the newer model?
The QC35s are very prone to developing a defect which results in them powering on by themselves. Bose does not offer any repair service for them so otherwise perfectly good headphones have to be binned. I won’t be buying any more Bose products as once out of warranty they simply expect you to buy a new replacement!
So sad, but QC45 and New QC (2023) is not the same like QC35II. Case is cheeper without alluminium, ear pads made of cheaper material, leatherette instead of alcantara on the rim, the sound is a little worse and balance problems (look for information on UA-cam), and HUGE downgrade with microphones. You just cant use QC45 for outdoor calls and its not so good for work-calls in quite place. Bose QC Ultra have many problems too, so I think 35II still is the best headphones in Bose history.
The ANC is stronger on my QC35IIs but the isolation combined with pretty good ANC makes me use my QCEIIs very frequently. Only issue is that you can definitely hear the white noise on QCEIIs. The first gen buds didn't have as good isolation or ANC, but it had zero white noise

Good to hear
Are these headphones both cordless and corded? I have bluetooth headphones but i want a pair of wired headphones. Thanks.
Both!
Do they still have to be charged to use corded?
Aren't apple and beats almost the same? 😅 The QC 35 II are really comfy to wear.
Do the Airpod Maxes have slanted earcups as well, like the Bose? 😅
Bought mine in 2019, the ANC is 90% gone, tried all fixes and nothing.
Is there a way to increase the bass? It’s too low.

EQ. theres already a lot of bass on these headphones. if you go any more you'll just muffle the sound

Type C is crucial!!
Wow as a person who owns AirPod max and absolutely love them. I’m shocked to hear you like these over the AirPod max.
