I wore my QC 35s for 6+ years and I finally wore them out. I bought the 700s in dec 2019. I’m about to buy the 45s for only one reason…COMFORT especially on long plane rides.
The QC45s are nice but i agree not worth the upgrade if you already own the QC35s, also i have never turn the volume up to 100% on my QC35s normally 60-70% is good for me even with ANC toggled off.
Got the 700s, QC35 ii and Sony wxm3. All have their merits. 35s are the most comfortable and light. Sony's have a lovely sound but crap call quality. 700s are the least comfortable but best sound quality and noise cancelling IMO. I do think the wxm4s would be the best since they've apparently fixed the issues with the wxm3s and added additional mics.
Sony disappointed me with sound quality. Without added equalizer settings they sound muddy and bassy. I sent them back and kept my Bose. But the new xm5 are great - they sound more open and natural - especially in the mids. Their sound signature is comparable with the Air Pods Max.
Thank you for the video! QC 35 II wires got loose over time. Then Bose offered me 20$ for them, so I had to decline their generous offer lol. Bought 700s from a private party brand new. Happy with it. Not really after the latest thing as they seem to lose value pretty quickly, so staying one step behind is not such a bad idea to get a noticeable discount. Got 700's new for 250$
I have gone from QC15's to QC35 II's, to now looking for possibly the QC45's. I still have all pairs and they work as well as ever. The QC15's are perfect for children on planes, replace the ear cups and you're golden (same with QC35's as well)!
I have the QC 35 II’s and I freaking love them. I tried my friends 700’s and their cool and the sound is great but after wearing them for awhile they felt pretty tight on my head which I didn’t like. I’m also not the biggest fan of the touch movements on the 700s as they confuse me and because I like physical buttons. So I’m def gonna be going with the 45’s at some point as my 35 II’s are still rocking. But yeah I’m def going with the 45’s when it’s time. Maybe at some point I may decide to pick up a pair of 700s.Keep making awesome reviews man!!! Enjoyed this one man.
same with me I ordered the 700 but I didn't feel right with it, it actually hurt me a lot when I put it on, hurt my head and my ears so I immediately returned it and bought the 35 which turned out pretty good. I wanna switch to the 45 but I'm not sure if it's worth the money.
Don't buy qc45. Purchased them 2 months ago and had tried them on in stores. They sound pretty good in the store but when I finally got it and used them. They are pretty trash. Noise cancellation is meh, and what is really shitty about it is that is only has two modes, and the transparency mode is useless for me (I just feel it is less respectful to talk to another person with headphones on). As soon as the environment gets a bit windy, you are dead. So yeah, QC 45 is such a disappointment for me as I really loved my QC35 II so much.
@@minahaaning2611 I have 35ii version and got 45s at Target ..had them simultaneously for 10 days and 35 is absolutely WINNER in any aspect, comfort..sound...noise canceling..top ! Even built quality feel is more professional on 35s. Its like that first ever made Mercedes..that never break down lol . I returned 45s, I just have feeling they watered down 45s to push customers more towards "new" tech 700s. I just dont like sensor swipe on 700s..prefer physical buttons more due to wearing gloves..cold weather...accidental touch or swipe while wearing them on the neck etc. Just make sure u use original 35ii firmware version and dont mess with updating it to newer lol , mostly it messes up the noise canceling that you get used to it. hope it helps.
As the mic test went, the 45 sounded absolutely awful. The 35 was the best for the voice, but the 700 managed a better noise cancellation. Just for a few hours more battery life, I will not go with the 45. Thanks for the great review.
@@mrmr4622 they added an equalizer for the QC earbuds and the NC700. I am not sure on the sport earbuds. I have the QC earbuds and the NC700. The QC earbuds sound awesome with the bass at 10, the midrange at 6 and the treble at 7. Honestly, they are some of the best sounding earbuds period right now and I have tried a lot.
Great review.. appreciate the mic test. 45 failed in my view. 700 was the winner in my eyes. Wish you had covered two additional items: 1. 700 comes with a charging case. 2. 700 does NOT fold and needs to stay in its usable shape vs the 35 and the 45 that folds like the QC 25.
A great review. A couple of questions. How does the Bose QC 45 work against wind noise and how is the ANC in the train? Also, does the volume have to be at 90-100 % to get a comfortable sound level like on the QC 35 ii.
@@zirak93-2 do you have 700s?Is it normal to have no thumpy bass at all with 700 or my 700s are faulty?? Please answer this(i also own a qc 35 ii and it has that vibrating your head feeling but 700s NONE!)
@@EnglishT90 Sorry, I don't own a pair of NC 700. I would recommend posting your question on Reddit. They give you a fast answer. Doesn't take more than one day. However, yes, I have owned the QC 35 ii for about two months. Never experienced the feeling you describe here.
if you search for volume level 90%-100% of qc35 don't buy 45 as it is like it is limited to 80% of QC35, So when test says clearer yes but it is because it is running on a 80% limited level so seems like system don't let you use it on maximum. Also bass is completely missing compared to 35
Im able to work remote for work, so its really great to be able to go to coffee shops and other loud environments to work and still have my zoom calls with the Bose 700 mic filtering out that sound the best and not having to worry about other people talking. I used to not work in coffee shops because I wasn't able to have those zoom meetings other than at my place or quiet environments.
fun fact, i thought the same thing with the 35s, for some reason if you have hair or even the slightest little thing between your ear/head and the earcups you get distortion: in other words you have to have a low to no hair with the 35s, i’ve tested this out for years cause every time i get a haircut the dude of my head is almost bald and i get no distortion, when my hair grows back the distortion come back. i first thought something was wrong i even sent them back to bose but then realized it was because i just simply had hair.
tbh im kind of disappointed with the microphones of the qc45. thought it would at least be as good as the microphones in the qc35...microphone is really important to me. I'm considering going for the qc35 ii's or maybe waiting to see if they address the qc45's microphones quality and provide passive noise cancelling (i.e off mode) in an update or qc45 ii release. also gotta mention great review as always!
I have no idea if this is mentioned in this review. But a deal breaker is the fact this headphone does NOT have the Bose Connect Music Share (2 pairs of Bose headphones listening to one iPad, for example) feature. Bose are now making worse products than QC35, not better :(!
I have all three sets of those headphones. Were you aware, that the QC 45 does not offer Google voice Assistant? I kept trying to activate it like I did on the other two pairs of headphones, and it would not work. Eventually I found a video, where it was specifically mentioned that bose, for some reason took away that feature.
I'm wearing NC 700 for a while now and there was a couple things which blew my mind right away after switching from my old QC 25 The noise cancellation is outstanding, no more the static noise like 25s had, the "conversation" mode which reverse the wave of noise cancelling in y axis making a great deal when shopping or outside, where you can listen to your music and still hear all calls from the station - great invention. The simultaneous paring of 2 devices is very handy although phone notifications doesn't ring when you are watching UA-cam or listening other stuff on your PC. Probably the system settings though. I'm pretty sure that NC 700 can do something I've always wanted - Shut up the loud kids on the plane - and within 3 days I will find out. Merry Xmas!!!
@@AHMED-nk3kw Well, not as loud as with QC25, but still hearable - some noises are engraved in our lifes I guess 😅 - But being perfectly honest - there was none on board back then; at least I haven't noticed. Basically, you need to listen carefully to make it annoying you.
Have the 35s and use them when working out in the weather as I don't care as much about them, I have a pair 700s and I just love them, the sound is just that much better, love the touch controls.

Wow thanks for putting out the comparison fast. Great video! I was hoping the QC 45 will have a good awareness/transparency close to the AirPods max. Also the microphone is not that impressive if I’m hearing it right. Nevertheless, awesome video. Well presented. More power!

How touch sensitive are the 700s. I wear gloves and not having a physical button I don't want to have to take gloves on and off to change songs while I'm at work
Thank you for the review. Great comparison. The road noise just told me to keep my qc35. I don't think the qc35 ones have the nfc. Still happy with them. Guess I will not upgrade for a little while longer.
Great review! Do any of these allow changing the battery? I'm still using QC25 because there the headphones do not go bad once the battery life is bad.
@@pauleedeehimself8489 They sure will if they aren't yet. For the headphones, I never go above 65% without getting a nasty discomfort on my "head". It feels like someone hit me with a hammer. 🤣 For the earphones, the range is 25% -45% depending on the environment I am in. When they say "100%", I don't really believe them. It's likely that they're just talking...
I am very disappointed by the qc45, the qc35 were way more high quality. It seems like Bose just copies the exact same headphones over and over agin with a little better noise cancelling bit with way cheaper quality. I don’t get it.
Both 35 and 45 are nice. Don’t care for the 700’s. Good review, thanks. 👍 p.s. I have the 35’s but based on your review I think if I were buying today it would be the 45’s.
had the 35's for a longtime, just bought the 45's , exchanged them for another 45's due to a constant 'hissing' static noise and same thing happened. that's a shame. keep the 35's if you can! same comfortability and playability. but quieter when using it to meditate without music (35's)
Thank you for good tests!! I like qc35 .because i feel no pain in my ears inside with noise canceling mode. Is this air pressure? Qc45 is bad because I feel pain. No good English sorry.
I'm glad I didn't upgrade to the 700. touch sensitive controls are NOT upgrades. buttons are GOOD! They are clear indications of whether or not you're pressing it. avoids accidental input.
Great review, so happy bose didn’t discontinue QC series and replace it with 700. Never a fan of 700 looks, will be buying the QC45. Classic bose design 👌
The 700's were uncomfortably tight for me, but I think they might be as good as the QC 35 II's for people with a small head. The QC 45's have slightly better noise cancellation over the QC 35's when used indoors and have USB-C charging. But the lack of noise cancellation levels means you can't use them outdoors where the slightest breeze turns into a tornado for your ears. Overall the QC 35 II is the best combination of capability and comfort for most people, even if you may need to keep a micro-USB charging cable around for it. As of Sept 2023 they are still available on e-bay & Bose is still selling replacement ear pads!
I just had a 1L water bottle explode in my wet bag destroying my old Bose QC35 ii. I’m so glad they upgraded the QC range as I was dreading the 700s and felt rebuying the 35 ii’s was outdated. I’m annoyed that the sound hasn’t been improved but the upgraded Bluetooth and ANC is a good compromise. You can’t beat this range for comfort, they blow away the horrible 700’s and any of the Sony’s (imo) and as a big traveller this is a deal breaker for me. As a drummer, I don’t care too much about the reduced sound quality you get with BOSE, as proper studio headphones serve that purpose in that environment. I’m only really after a knockabout set, good for excessive work calls and the most comfortable for long usage.
Man, great review and comparison, thanks for that. I got a pair of (2019 IIRC) Audio-Technica ATH-SR50BT and have just gotten the Bose QC45 on a Google Pixel 6 promotion. I'm kind of in the fence about whether or not I should sell the Bose pair, or if they'd be a worthy upgrade for my ATH. My main use for them right now is at the office, I find the ANC really helps me stay focused and productive. In your opinion, how do they stack up against each other?
Just here for support. I agree about the distortion at this price range. Definitely not ok. I personally think I want their earbuds more than the headphones bcuz of the convenience. Another great review bro

Top notch review! Thank you. Will hang on to my 35 a bit longer, as they are still performing great.
Thanks for this detailed review, I picked up the QC45, it will be my first set of NC headphones. Hoping to put them through at least 3 years of use.
Got my wife the 700 because of that two tone white and rose gold color scheme.
How can you compare the 45 anc if you change the location?! ☹️
I know right...My guess is he didn't have the 45s at the time
I wore my QC 35s for 6+ years and I finally wore them out.
My 35s stopped working, I called Bose and they said for 150$ I can get a new 45 . I think that a really good option for there costumers.
Lucky
Thanks for the comparison review, CEO! I’ll be sticking with my QC 35s.
@@kafoona I'm deciding between the 45 and the 700, but I haven't tried the 35. Would you then recommend the 35 more than the 45??
Lovely coverage. Been waiting for this!
Thanks so much. Was getting more and more confused and indecisive with other 10 videos I’ve watched on these and yours was the best. ❤
As the mic test went, the 45 sounded absolutely awful. The 35 was the best for the voice, but the 700 managed a better noise cancellation.
Just for a few hours more battery life, I will not go with the 45.
Thanks for the great review.
i feel like it was an unfair test cus he did the 45s on a highway but the other two near a basic road
i LOVE my bose 700, no real complains
:D
Glad to see i made the best choise
Wow multiple pair dude that's crazy man very useful video man
Awesome review! Will be going with the QC 45!
Great video! FYI! The BOSE QC earbuds have added an equalizer and they sound awesome!!
I hope the same happens with the QC 45 since I will buy them. :D
They added equaliser for every model?
@@mrmr4622 Only QC earbuds and NC700 as far as I know.
Thanks for the Bose reviews, I'm always sold on watching your channel
Great review.. appreciate the mic test. 45 failed in my view. 700 was the winner in my eyes.
Wish you had covered two additional items:
1. 700 comes with a charging case.
2. 700 does NOT fold and needs to stay in its usable shape vs the 35 and the 45 that folds like the QC 25.
In your eyes? You're wearing them wrong 😂
45 keep it safe and stick with what people loved for years
@@Yorkie321 more like you cannot afford it poor guy
A great review. A couple of questions. How does the Bose QC 45 work against wind noise and how is the ANC in the train? Also, does the volume have to be at 90-100 % to get a comfortable sound level like on the QC 35 ii.
Reviewer on UA-cam said the mics on 45 picks up more wind than the 35 ones
@@jesusk1358 Yeah, I know. But I want a demonstration to see how bad its.

Anyone know of a cable for the QC35/ 25's that had a USB c to 2.5 jack? Any info appreciated. Great video, the 35's mic was best imo.
what mic do u use? cheers
I'm wearing NC 700 for a while now and there was a couple things which blew my mind right away after switching from my old QC 25
The noise cancellation is outstanding, no more the static noise like 25s had, the "conversation" mode which reverse the wave of noise cancelling in y axis making a great deal when shopping or outside, where you can listen to your music and still hear all calls from the station - great invention.
So, what about those loud kids? 😄
@@AHMED-nk3kw Well, not as loud as with QC25, but still hearable - some noises are engraved in our lifes I guess 😅 - But being perfectly honest - there was none on board back then; at least I haven't noticed. Basically, you need to listen carefully to make it annoying you.
@@Kombivar i’ll be buying the 700s then! Thanks for answering back
I get zero static on my QC25s.
Right now QC45 and NC700 are around the same price. I am a big head grad student, what should I prefer?
December 2022 - still worth it going for the QC35 ii?
Have the 35s and use them when working out in the weather as I don't care as much about them, I have a pair 700s and I just love them, the sound is just that much better, love the touch controls.
QC45 seems to cheap out on some details and materials compared to the QC35.
Hi, In your opinion, which headphones have stronger and cleaner bass?
are they Bose QC35 II or Bose QC45?
What a well put together video! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you..
I have a small head , thank you for this comparison review I was wondering how the QC45 would be like. I own the 700 and LOVE IT so much during my studious sessions. Keep up the awesome detailed reviews! 👍
Thank you!
I have a small head as well. Do you feel the 700 stays put but still comfortable? The 45’s just flip around on my head.
Thanks man !
Quick question, I had trouble connecting on PC with the QC35 is it better with one of the other two ?
Very well done my friend. Great job. Helped me immensely in making a decision. BTW...this is the first time I have ever seen a UA-cam video without a "dislike" . Congrats!!
As an owner of QC35 happy and pleased with all the information… thanks dude!
✌🏽
Thank you for such a detailed review!
Wow thanks for putting out the comparison fast. Great video!
I was hoping the QC 45 will have a good awareness/transparency close to the AirPods max. Also the microphone is not that impressive if I’m hearing it right.
Nevertheless, awesome video. Well presented. More power!
yea, and you need to talk loud for it to pick uo enough volume. I've tested QC45 in a store.
Great breakdown comparison thank you.
just ordered the QC35's for 269.00 Canadian...can't wait to get them...cheers from Canada
Hey man, great video. First one of yours I’ve seen. I have the QC35s and I wanted to know the differences. You were very thorough. I sent your video to a friend of mine who also has the 35s. I think I’ll buy the 45s and give my wife my 35s. 👍🏻🙏🏻
Appreciate you checking out the channel! ✌🏽
If you wear these in the wind, the low setting on the 35s is the only setting that stops it. Sony's top of the line and the Bose 700 and 45s all fail.
@@mattjayes7710 do you know any that are good in the wind?
Hi, great review! I have an extremely large head and ears, just wondering which model has the biggest ear coverage?
I really like. how much you post because there are probably some days where you don't want to but you still do so thank yo
100% on headphones is alwas a bad idea... When played on low volume, that's where speakers and headphones show their true colors...
Exactly. 100% for headphones, are they deaf?
Yes you can do that with the speakers, but headphones? Come on 🤣🤣
@@jesusk1358 they will be☺
@@pauleedeehimself8489 They sure will if they aren't yet.
For the headphones, I never go above 65% without getting a nasty discomfort on my "head". It feels like someone hit me with a hammer. 🤣
For the earphones, the range is 25% -45% depending on the environment I am in.
Is there an option to turn off Bluetooth and have the ANC on so if I wear them all day all year I don't get radiated?
only on the 700
What do you mean by radiated?
@@tiklemeangi Bluetooth radiation
Any suggestions on which model is best for students? I’m looking at the QC45 and the NC700 currently. Thanks!
QC45 are going to be more comfortable. The 700 are going to block a little more noise, which may be helpful for studying etc.
I'm glad I didn't upgrade to the 700. touch sensitive controls are NOT upgrades. buttons are GOOD! They are clear indications of whether or not you're pressing it. avoids accidental input.
Good review. But which is your choice?
Very helpful and comprehensive review. Many thanks.
Great review, so happy bose didn’t discontinue QC series and replace it with 700. Never a fan of 700 looks, will be buying the QC45. Classic bose design 👌
Is the volume max is high enough with the QC45 ?
Well presented and good comparison, dude, thanks!
Thank you for this review I found it incredibly helpful!
Great review man! Appreciate it!
Thanks for watching! I actually haven't tested the Audio Technicas that you mentioned, so it's hard for me to say.
Just here for support. I agree about the distortion at this price range. Definitely not ok. I personally think I want their earbuds more than the headphones bcuz of the convenience. Another great review bro
the ANC on the Bose QC earbuds is insane!
@@CEONTHEMAKING yeah that's what I keep hearing from everyone. Plus everyone seems to agree that they are really comfortable as well. Those 2 things plus the Bose sound is enough for me to wanna grab em. The price is what's kept me from getting em of course
Would coming from a sound link headphones 2 be worth it to a 700 bose
