This song reminds me a bit about Reptile by Nine Inch Nails. Both have heavy one-chord riff and a ticking percussion loop. Insane song though, one of the best on Holy Wood.
I'm in the front row of the Live Holy Wood tour video. It was a Great Show. MM played almost everything In catalog at the time & redid some songs twice. Los Angeles unannounced show until day of ....... He was all decked out in pink sequence body suit from head to toe before the show getting all the angles right for cameras. Very nice guy. When you have time to talk to him, it's weird. He seems more excited to talk to you then you do him. Lol. He is getting a raw deal now. Glad he is speaking up about his faith. Obviously a Christian who is finding his way back. God works in mysterious ways.
Space bias; we’re stuck in time, “crucified in our space” reliving the crucifixion story over and over again. Manson references our in ability to move through time fast enough often in other songs using inferences of anticipation.
I am also a Christian and I love his music, especially when I am feeling some kind of way. He's an intelligent being when he speaks. He's actually my top 5 favorites. Don't be ashamed cause you're not alone.
i mean Marilyn Manson in general helped me mentally and psychologically go through the military service thanx though was years ago ! hehe ! no it is nostalgia !
Eh, im not seeing it. I do know that mechanical animals has Bowies influence all over it, even the album art is similar (They both stand looking completely naked, with red hair)
this song brings back memories of the first night in the millitary ! i felt like thats it i'm caught by army thats it no where to run i'm captired ! great times but this is my associative reminder !
I'm leaving a comment, if someone sees this in several years from now say hi. Edit: Holy crap it's been a few years and I woulda never thought i'd be quarantined in the middle of a pandemic. If you see THIS a few years from now and everything is fine again say hi.
The constellation crux (shaped like a cruxifix) and it's correlation with the suns orbit remains evident that jesus never existed .The sun appears stationary from December 22nd until 25th in the centre of the crux constellation that is 3 days (3 days it took Jesus to be resurected) hence Jesus was just a metaphor for Son of God aka Sun of God = sun which gives us life known as god).
Love that backroundsound of like steel cables bein cut or snapping and whipping around the 2min mark such a strange creepy noise thats what i loved about his early shit then he got money and fame and started puttin out garbage and being the very thing he mocked
Never understood the 180 that the Big Man did tbh. First half He committed mass murder multiple times (the flood, infanticide of Egypt, locust plague, Sodom and Gomorrah) no problem. In the 2nd half His son got crucified by Romans and He didn't give two shits and even let a murderer into His realm. The fuck?
If this song was a person, I would rape it. If it was a flower, it would be the first flower I would take care of. If it was an ocean, I'd like to drown in it. If it was a name, I'd like to have a child just to name him like that. If it was my future, I'd invent a time machine. If it was a life, I'd like to live forever. If it was death, I'd like to die. I just don't know how to say how much I love this and many others Marilyn Manson's songs. His voice is the most beautiful sound in the world.
Love the guitar in this
agree

This is the most creative beat for a song I’ve ever heard.

@@grim1683 Haha. Well, I just meant can you tell me specifically why you think so?
@@Jackp2003 I think it’s the palm mute riffs combined with the drum beat and the way Manson is singing. I just love the way it sounds

This song was amazing live. I seen him in 2000 at the Brady Theater. My fave parts are the cables sound, adds a really creepy effect

Holy Wood - THE BEST MARILYN MANSON ALBUM FOR ME...
Forever nailed to the holy wood.
I love the part in "in our space"
Me too, his voice goes so deep and sonorous.
Space bias; we’re stuck in time, “crucified in our space” reliving the crucifixion story over and over again. Manson references our in ability to move through time fast enough often in other songs using inferences of anticipation.
The best way to experience that part is when he's on stage. It's on the DVD where he's on GGG tour. I highly suggest it
Me too, one of my all time fav riffs. Absolutely incredible.
Me too
One of my favorite songs from this album
Not listened to this for years, today for some reason it earwormed me. Took the whole day to work out which track it was.
Worth it.
His most underrated song,it's one of his best
Yeah, but the problem is that it's basically a rework of NIN's Reptile, so it's got that going against it.
Every time I listen to this song and it gets to the point ♪and I'm nailed to the holy wood♪, my arms shoot out in Raven style crucifix pose.
***** Watch that edge, man.
Manson's whole career is spellbinding and works for good of America putting us in favour if only everyone of our own understood that.
Is it weird I'm Christian and absolutely love MM music
Jayden Eisenbeis Mam's music isn't satanic
