Thankyou for your compliments, Truly motivates us. You are right they do better alone than a mixed species community tank as other species will mostly have very different water parameter requirements. Many articles have been written about them not being actively social with other axolotls, however many new papers are being written about the gains in mental enrichment from housing axolotls in a spaced out community(the way they are found in nature) setup. They need to have sufficient space and hides to avoid one another completely if need be. If you spend some time personally viewing a well-spaced(understocked) axolotl community tank, you will observe they do locate each other, side bump and occasionally swim in sync. Lets not completely deprive them of any opportunities to socialize just to keep them safe and isolated. Axolotls less than 5 inch should not be housed together as they can display cannibalism, larger ones are fine. Cheers!

very difficult to keep...mostly durirng summer and they never breed in captivity so male female jaan ke koi faida nehi hai, Keeping them since 2017
Have never had a problem with them, been successfully keeping since 2008. Hope you have a decent filter and chiller, will surely help. Will make breeding video series shortly. Variety in diet is very important. Earthworms, night crawlers, prawns and commercial axolotl pellets make a good comprehensive diet.Hope it helps. Cheers!
