@HacksbyDad I hope you do get 20000. Great test. One thing I always have problems is cleaning up a dirty floor that might have a spill. I have to really put pressure down on the towel. My blue jeans and white tshirts have issues with ground in dirt too and also with grass. Even oil too. I think tide might be one of the best laundry detergents out there. Sometimes l use spray carpet cleaner that's not in a can as a spot cleaner from dollar store.
true but then this should be common sense for most people and instructions on packaging says that amount of detergent depends how soiled the clothes are and/or heavier fabrics. Plenty detergent than needed is bad in many ways.
I want a follow up video, with a variety of substances, ideally left to dry for a couple of weeks, including a smudge of dirty engine oil and white shirt collars and cuffs. (Only 17.5k views to go!) In the UK there are 2 doses stated depending where you live - more for hard water areas. I always use less than stated though, and it always comes out fine. If there's a definite grease mark I just rub in a drop of neat liquid and leave it overnight or a few hours before washing. Little blood stains, just add spit and blot with paper towel before washing. (Contrary to popular myth, the spit doesn't have to belong to the injured party)
I think water only, combined with the agitation of the machine, would have removed the dirt just as well. Detergent contains enzymes, which are designed to break down the chemicals that form stains like blood, grass, chocolate, wine, oil, grease. But there is no doubt that manufacturers are recommending way more detergent than necessary. I wonder why? 😛
Mud stains that have dried are some of the toughest to get out. It’s no secret that companies have exaggerated the amount of chemical needed to do the job. I can remember there was a character actor, in the late 60s, who did Comet sink & tub scrub commercials, & she even, said, on national tv ,that you don’t need anywhere near the amount they show her using. It’s just a way to keep ppl purchasing more.
I’m single but 37 but I need U I usually use tide but I’m out so I’m use arm and hammer and All but the no suds or nothing just dirty water . I know w tide I don’t need that much but w the all it’s clean and clear one I’m allergic to just about anything NOT tide original even the tide w downy and gain stuff I don’t use fabric softener just the sheets . Or use All or hammer arm just the clean and clear one sensative skin
Thanks! I guess I'll need to do another video with first grinding in some dirt and grass stains. Let's first see if this video can reach 20,000 views to make a follow up video worthwhile. 😎
Sweat people.... sweat.... I bet you if you actually went to gym and worked out, this will not be the same result. THe load will still smell like shit.
Your pinch of dirt test is really a joke. First of all, when you get dirty dirt gets grounded into the fabric it's not just superficially pushed on there. I suggest you take some white pants and shirt and go do some real work in them get them really dirty muddy dirty nasty then wash them. I find this really ridiculous video because no effort was put into making the laundry dirty to see if it would be clean
😆got the expertise on the white pants requirement! In high school I got persuaded once to play some backyard football rocking my brand new, expensive, imposssssssibly WHITE, white skinny jeans. My brand-new white jeans vs. the grass field: Any questions on my credentials?🤣🤣
I'd like to see that same towel test but with ground in dirt from wiping off a dirty floor and also grass stain on denim.
Thanks! I’ll do a follow up test if this video gets at least 20,000 views.
👍😎

@@thinkingimpaired5663 Thanks! I'll keep a follow up video on the back burner. 😎

I always go under the recommandations of the soap company and never had any issue.
👍😎
Me too. They just want you to buy more detergent. Same as the shampoo companies including the words “rinse and repeat” in the instructions.
@@mercoid 👍😎

Thanks! I’ll think of a more intense follow up cleaning video if this one gets enough views. 👍😎

My wife and I have the same argument. 😀
👍😎
For sale one set of encyclopedia Britannica 😊 no longer needed wife knows everything
So you did a dirt test for level 3 and level 5. I bet that if you put NO SOAP in there, it would come out just as clean...

Don't think that dirt was properly ground in. Might have been easily removed with just plain water.

? 😅
You didn’t do a control test with no detergent at all
👍😎
Great, now try with oils and grease from the body, plus urine from something.
👍😎
So cutev
