I worked on mean streak last year and whenever I hear him say "the Mean streak" I want to correct him because there is no "the" in the title its only "Mean Streak".
Now "Steel Vengeance" which is easily the Best coaster in the world....unbelievable! And Top Thrill, Millennium, Magnum, Maverick, Gate Keeper, etc etc etc!!!!!!!
When I went to cedar point i has no idea all those rollercoasters were record breakers. I didnt even ride top thrill dragster because i went with a bunch of wimps but i rode the other three fearsome foursome
Watching these old videos makes me mad because it shows how big of GP's we were then. Glad we've actually got some stupid amazing rides now. Hoping Cedar gets a single rail raptor for their 150th birthday. They planned to top off steel which means two rollercoasters that are the best in the world.
SFMM is Six Flags Magic Mountain. Cedar Point and SFMM are frequently compared because they battle back and forth for the park with the most roller coasters. Currently SFMM has more roller coasters but many people (including myself) believe Cedar Point is still the better overall park.
fury's chain and motor equipment hadn't been designed yet, so yes an OLD SCHOOL chain wouldn't be able to do it. besides it make millennium unique and i prefer it over a chain
@@theoneandonlyrustyshaklefo6256 Steel Dragon 2000 solved the issue by using two chains and motors, with the second one starting halfway up the lift. It wasn't until Leviathan that we saw "traditional" lifts on giga coasters.
It's one thing to be ON the ride and locked into the cars and on the track...... it's a completely different thing to be standing there half way down the first hill with nothing but two harnesses holding you so you can press the button after inspecting the cable and track. Yikes!! I hope those guys get paid extremely well! Mucho respect for their job!!!
I'm going to Cedar Point in the fall riding millennium force for the first time, I take BONNIE it is made for ROLLER COASTERS, I heard millennium is very smooth.
I kinda fell bad for everyone who lives far is is like "I finally can go" cause I live about 15-25 minutes away and I'm not a thrill seeker but I have attached to it and rode the mantis 6 time in a row. Whoops

I absolutely hate being up that high but i love riding these coasters!

lol i just pulled forward to avoid my back being broken
Would not recommend for those with newer ear piercings. It's miserable the whole ride so you can't enjoy the actual ride.
