Almost 2 1/2 hours of total entertainment! Absolutely beautiful. This was my first look at V&F and the rules seem to stand up very well. It was was hard fought battle by both armies. I will definitely follow your upcoming campaign. Thanks for your effort!☝☝
What a way to spend a lazy Sunday here in London, just watching this battle unfold , loved all of it Gotta say, tactically I would have left a defensive/blocking force at the north bridge allowing an extra unit to support a push towards the "built up" area, also would've advanced the highlanders a lot sooner , I guess hindsight is a bitch Great stuff as always Steve
Thanks, my friend! I totally agree with your tactical assessment! The Duke of Wellington must have been feeling a bit under the weather for this one because he made some sketchy command decisions 🤣😜. Enjoy your day Sir!
I finally had the time to watch the battle! that was pretty epic layout and walk though of the action. Keep up the hard work and you're a bad influence 😎👍
You're a force of nature mate, in the speed of your figure painting production and the scale of your ambition on the tabletop. Ill be sticking with V and F. It's what wargaming was supposed to be. Thank you.
I watch lots of battle reports ( from lots of different wargames) yours are one of the best I have ever seen, it's fun, it's cool and he makes me wanna play ! Thanks a lot, I hope there will be more.
A mere two minutes into the battle I am compelled to express my profound shock at seeing the RHA battery, presumably equipped with 6 pounders, attempting to “suppress” part of the French Grand Battery (12 pounders, one assumes) not only because of the slim likelihood of achieving this aim, but because it is in direct defiance of Wellington’s well known prohibition of counter-battery fire, which is bound to bring upon them not only his Grace’s wrath but the immediate return of vastly more destructive fire in their direction. Which of these they have reason to fear more remains to be seen.
Outstanding knowledge! I had no clue that Wellington discouraged counter battery fire. Makes total sense though. I hope the rest of the Battle is somewhat enjoyable. Thank you for the education and have a great rest of your week 👍
Thank you. I failed to notice whether the difference in calibre of the guns was reflected in the rules though it would be strange if not. I have the printed edition from Wargames Illustrated but haven’t read it yet. I’ve now watched the battle until the end, which I rarely do with videos of this length, and your enjoyment was infectious. I’ll definitely watch more of your battles, not least because of your amazing set-up, probably the most impressive I’ve ever encountered. I have to say I’m thoroughly jealous!
Thanks Darrin! It was a blast to play. I assume it will get even better when I'm not referring back to the rules a bunch trying to make.sure I don't screw up! Have a great day my friend!
Wow truely impressive mate now that's warfare, and enjoyable I not up to date with rules but as long as you enjoyed it is what matters just watching it was enjoyable, inspirational to get my brush onto figures 😊
Are you playing a 1st edition or 2nd edition game? If using 2nd edition when a brigade fails a Fortitude test, Shaken units rout (pick up) units within 6" of the enemy take 1 hit and C-in-C gets a defeat marker, that is all. in 1st edition (which is what Little wars TV reviewed) an entire brigade would disappear on one failed fortitude test.
Oh sweet, thanks my friend. I am playing 2nd edition. I really appreciate the help. I also think that is a good rules tweak between editions! Have a fantastic week 👍
I like your logic! The Brits definitely deserved the win after I hosed them by forgetting some key parts of the rules. Have a fantastic week, my fried. Thank you for commenting!
Mate, this is an incredible tabletop battle. It seems that playing solo it's easy for you. I would like to know if you can give us some tip on how to play solo, for me is not that easy. Cheers

I probably read it wrong. Thanks so much. I thought they might be considered an obscured target since they were in fortification. Probably wrong of be, but it seemed to make sense in my head 👍. Have a great week!
@@basement1908- at times, I think painting 15mm is better, but, painting 10mm is definitely quicker. I too am looking at 6mm ACW for Altar of Freedom...going to 3D print I think. I did print off some 10mm Polish for Napoleonic's and they look good, so I'm thinking 6mm ACW should look good too :D
One question I have. when a column makes melee contact with a line which is obviously much longer, why does the line not curl around the flanks of the column? I was thinking this when the British column on the middle right went up against a French Line near the house 53:52?
That is definitely what happened in reality (from what I've read). The rules don't cover that, unfortunately. I guess it's just the price for having a quick fun game versus a fun more simulation type war game. Plus, I might have missed something in the rules or the errata, I am.by no means.an expert.
I appreciate the feedback! I need to work on that. My excitement for the game often bleeds over into my cinematography, where I try to look everywhere at once. I have much room for improvement there. Have a fantastic weekend 👍

I am, but I don't have my own channel. I feel too small potato for that 🤪 I am sometimes on tabletop CP's channel
This scratched a Napoleonic itch I didn’t know I had.
Outstanding! Glad to help! I appreciate you popping in. Have a great week 👍
When shooting at defensible terrain I don’t think the shooting reduce their fire value, only reduce when shooting out.

@@basement1908 still -2 and -1 modifiers for hard and soft cover.
That was good. You sure do have a lot of 28mm and they look good to.

@@basement1908 - Awesome. I should get working on my 10mm Napoleonic's as well :D

@@basement1908 Thanks, I did have that thought going through my head after I'd posted.
As far as gameplay what would be accomplished by wrapping around the column? Units in line during melee get more dice; you add half the fire value.
Wheres Richard Sharp?
I'm sure he's out there in the middle of the action somewhere 🤔
Where you get the trees from?
Woodland Scenics
Plz, is it 10mm or 15 mm figs ?
Neither, 28mm. Perry, warlord and Victrix
Love your table and miniatures, but your zooming and panning makes it hard for me to watch the full video. 😢
