  • Hey, guys! I'm trying something for the very first time today...hanging wallpaper! :-/ My new sewing room needed some pizazz so hit up Spoonflower to find the perfect design for the fun, bright, and girly sewing room of my dreams.
    Watch to see every single step of the install and the finished result. I also show you the best way to wall paper around outlets and light switches, baseboards, and door frames.
    Exact wallpaper I used: goo.gl/E2wnLT

    Love the paper. It's beautiful. You did a great job of putting it up. Very clever, and love your patience.

    Thank you SO much for posting this. I'm convinced I can do it. Do you like the surface of the paper? Is it smooth or is it a weird woven texture?

      Umm...like in the middle. It's not as smooth as glass, but isn't really textured either. It's nice.

    thanks so much for this awesome video. Can I ask, how is it holding up?

      I’ve since taken it down to move. It held up great until then and came off with absolutely zero damage to the wall!

    Looks so good! Are you walls slighty textured??

      Thank you!! And, no. Just your typical drywall!

    do you have to overlap the water based wallpaper as well? i prefer it butted against each roll like regular wall paper. is the over lap raised and very noticeable?

    • @InsidetheHem
      @InsidetheHem  5 років тому

      I can’t speak to the water based wallpaper. The one I used is pretty thin though and I never noticed the seams.

    I've wondered how this stuff works when it comes in 2' strips. You did a great job. I think I may finally try this, though the price feels prohibitive.

    Do your walls have texture to them or are they smooth? I read that the dont reccomend using the peel and stick on textured walls but it seems so much easier )': lol

    We did a border in the contact paper-type product years ago & I can't remember if it came down easily or not.

    Thinking about ordering today. Do you feel the glue is holding up good after 2 yrs?

      So I moved and had to take it all down. But it was still plenty stuck when I did that. I think I have a vlog about it showing me taking it down.

    How many rolls did it take and what was your final cost for it?

    • @InsidetheHem
      @InsidetheHem  6 років тому +1

      They have a great little calculator on their site that will tell you how much you’ll need for your particular wall. I want to say I used 3 rolls. Maybe 4. It was a long time ago. ;)
