Episode 5 Exploring Cherbourg, Spa Tour, & a fantastic last night on board the Spirit of Adventure!

- In our final episode of our Saga Spirit of Adventure Cruise Vlogs we arrive in Cherbourg, France.
We start the day much to Paul's delight LOL by getting up early to enjoy the Spa. We then explore this part of France on an excursion. Back on the ship we enjoy more fabulous food, and enjoy the superb entertainment. We have met some fabulous people on this cruise and Paul gets to sing with one of them!
We cruised on the Saga Spirit of Adventure in November 2021.

Lovely videos with lovely people. I have only ever been on one cruise in my life and that was with Saga. Absolutely loved every minute and can't wait to repeat the experience for my 70th.

Thanks so much for such an informative and detailed outline of Saga over 5 excellent videos. Everything looks first class, with the door-to-door service a real plus point. Coupled with Gary B’s excellent information on Norway - one coincidentally in the last few days - we are looking at making a Saga cruise to the fjords our first ever ocean cruise in 2024. Hope “Don and Jean” are keeping well 😂

Seriously, we have just booked our first ever cruise, having been pretty much anti-cruise until our neighbour told us how good it is. We’re on the Spirit of Discovery to Iceland, June ‘24, to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Your videos have been the best thing for showing us what to expect, even though it’s not the same ship or destination, the ships are the same (and we have a suite!) and it’s so useful to see what it’s like to actually experience a cruise. So thanks - informative and fun.

Great to see you on Sage SOA and so happy you had a wonderful time. Our 2nd Cruise was on her with family of 6 and we loved it and have been on the SOD which is excellent both ship are the best we have been for the food and service we are looking forward our 3rd with sage next year. Thank you for all the information I have watched with my mother in law who is 90 and she said after watching she left like she had been a cruise xx

Ive loved these vlogs on the Spirit of Adventure, as I do all your travel vlogs.How good it was of you to go pay your respects to the fallen servicemen on the D Day landings.After watching Emily Haig on your cruise,I checked her out myself on UA-cam,and I will say I was very impressed with her singing,what a beautiful voice she has

I’m booked on this ship in November/December (had to defer from August - wedding but they’d not let me defer it to 2023 ??? So booked on an itinerary I’m not that bothered about so may end up not going 😢)

Would love to try a Saga cruise...the prices are a bit wincey, but you do get a lot included for your money. Loved the duet...that must have been the highlight of Emily's cruise too 😄 Looking forward to the next one!

As a new follower I notice you do not mention the Cruise price, is this because they always change or you manage to get cheaper deals. Still loving your journeys.
We have done sometimes but it can be such a contentious issue, as it is so fluid, depending on the time you book. We always use a travel agent who gets the best price for us at the time, and who price checks so you can get the fare reduced if that same cruise goes on sale . You will always find someone who says they paid double or got it for a lot cheaper lol! 😀

Another excellent video Paul and Carole. I’m a big fan of spas and massage’s and yes Carole the price’s was not bad for the treatments.

I am a retired nurse and Paul has his own car business so we are able to be flexible and cruise a lot!
Excellent series - we love your style - looking forward to the next one. We love the look of Saga but are a little concerned with the age profile and also some of the prices... Almost Viking cost so a difficult choice.

Wait a minute...Paulie Morgan is that a BELLY BUTTON RING??? Are you sure you're not too hip for that ship? All joking aside, quick question: Did they give you a hard sell in the spa for their products? I tried the spa once on another line and vowed never to do it again due to that (they were just this side..scratch that, they were STRAIGHT UP rude when I wasn't biting) but wonder if it's like that in spas everywhere. Edited to add: BRAVO!
LOL it is, had it done 26 years ago! 😂 There was a sell but not a hard one on Saga. With Spa's think you just need to make it known before you have your massage done that you will not be buying products.

My husband and I are taking our first ever cruise in May with Saga, like you a five day mini cruise, but to Ireland. The only thing I'm disappointed about, having watched all you videos, is the food. It looks fabulous but as vegetarians it would be good to have a choice on the menu instead of having to take the only veggie option. With so many vegetarians and vegans around these days why are we not given more choice? Apart from that everything looks fantastic, although we are only in a standard cabin not a suite!
You should speak to the Maitre'd's when you get on board. Sure they should be able to accommodate your needs. We had a fabulous cruise hope you do too!

Great series and I love about the spa as there was no hard sell , I had no treatments but on a port day I stayed on and had the hydrotherapy pool etc all to myself. Well worth the money with all drinks and private transfers included, I love Saga, fabulous food and everything is top notch.
