"Very good Joker laugh" hope you know that is Mark Hamill, the Joker from the animated series and known as The definitive Joker. Arkham City is possibly the best Arkham with Origins in a close second (even if Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill didn't return since Origins Batman and Joker are much younger).
I like that Mark Hamil was a Jedi (as actor) and Joker (as voice in game), and Cameron Monaghan was a Jedi (as voice and actor in game "Jedi Fallen Order") and Joker (as actor in tv series "Gotham")
+1 on Mark Hamill as the definitive Joker. Arkham Origins is probably Troy Baker's first time voicing Joker and I think he did great. I'm quite happy we have him now that Mark Hamill is done with the role unless something interests him enough to make a return.
These cinematics are so great, even 10 years later. But man, there was no better way to get hyped for a video game than having it be announced like this. These days, I feel like we don’t get such badass reveal trailers as Origins and Knight had. Not to mention the games lived up to the hype.
My favorite cinematic is the jumping timelapse from Orgins of Bruce growing up. The music setting the emotion, showing the emptiness in his eyes, the gunshot still ringing with every passing year and letting himself take every punch and kick not even flinching. Then that part with Bane where, unlike the other years, he actually flinches again and is ready to finally fight back. I think what gets me most in that cinematic is that final line from the music "It's all still with me." He holds onto a lot and I think that's why Batman has always been my top hero, the will to keep fighting. Enjoyed the reaction! Definitely recommend playing all the games.

Batmam Arkham Knight really brought Gotham City to life and I mean LIFE. Plus I love how the game focuses on the mental aspect of Batman which Scarecrow uses as a weapon to defeat Batman.

I won't say why as to avoid giving spoilers in case you plan on playing the game, which I hope you do.
There was a lot of side trailers for Arkham City specifically about the villains you face in the game that I would recommend to watch. They really bring more depth to each character and to the stake of that particular game. I've often rewatched them on my own free time as I find them absolutely stunning
Possible fun fact Arkham series literally pioneered a combat style in games. (The Spiderman playstation games, which you guys saw in the other day, use a variation of it now too.) It's imo, one of the most satisfying systems to date. Also the stealth is great and puzzles in them are insanely fun thanks to Riddler's shenanigans. Also Origins plays during Christmas eve which is why there was a star on the bridge. Think I replayed Arkham City and Arkham knight 2-3 times each, just because of how fun and good they are! Keep up the good work kids!
Wish we could have seen the Arkham Knight "Gotham is Mine" trailer reaction. I think despite how cinematic it is that it qualifies instead as gameplay trailer rather than a cinematic one which is why it didn't make the compilation, but if you can you should react to that one as well!
The Batman VR experience was very immersive, definitely puts you straight into the cape and cowl, great areas to explore, characters to interact with and some nice detective work to be done. All linked to these Arkham games. Its around 20/30 minutes if you just play through, maybe an hour if you really take your time to check every corner. Plays great on PSVR and is free. Totally worth a play
That will that Bruce's father left him reminds me of a part in the comics where a alternative reality version of Bruce's father became batman because Bruce was the one shot in the alley writes a letter to Bruce when he learns of the main Batman, basically begging him not to be batman because he knew from experience how destructive a lifestyle it was.

In fact, there are 3 types of warhammers. You are already familiar with Warhammer 40k, but Warhammer fantasy is divided into 2 separate worlds. Namely: Warhammer fantasy battles and Warhammer The Age of Sigmar. Personally, I like the Fantasy Battle Warhammer more. It is more like our story, in the dark Middle Ages where there are fantasy elements, but the life of ordinary people almost never intersects with these elements. This grim Grimdark universe is spelled out no worse, and sometimes even better, than Warhammer 40k. The Warhammer Era of Sigmar, in turn, is more like a mixture of various mythologies with an admixture of Conan the Barbarian, that is, in this world the gods live and walk among people, constantly come into contact with them, magic is wild and very dangerous, but it permeates literally everything + events unfold not even in one galaxy but in the whole multiverse in which the reality is extremely unstable. Well, since the AOS Warhammer appeared in 2015, it is still poorly attributed, thought out and worked out, there are a lot of inaccuracies, outright stupidity and nonsense in it!
Trivia: Mark Hamill got the job to voice the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series & in other Batman media because he portrayed a similar character, James Jesse|The Trickster on the 1990's The Flash tv series.
One of the DLC packs they have for Arkham Knight is the 1960's batman outfits for Robin, Catwoman, Batman, and the Batmobile and you can only use the 1960's batmobile for races only they also have the Michael Keaton outfit and Batmobile as well
I've got all 4 Arkham games ready to play and Origins is definitely the one I'm looking forward to. From what I know it's set in Batmans earlier days with a more brute force style justice and there are 8 assassins trying to kill him in one night
It received some hate early on due to the voice talent involved (or, not involved), and some game breaking bugs. But I recently played through the whole series, and I still think that's my favorite of the games.
I still remember when the first Arkham game released, it being the first ACTUALLY GOOD Batman game we had in over a decade (possibly longer if I look it up). It was a major deal and change a lot of how 3d Action games were focused on at the time.
Mark Hamill did one of the best Joker performances you can find in all Batman media. Troy Baker voiced him for Arkham Origins, but they consider it canon so it works.
Arkham Knight is very reminiscent of Wrath of the Lich King. "The day you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name... Bruce" I love the little nod at 1:07, like "yes, this is Batman, so far so good" I freaking love the old school voices - Mark Hamill is the Joker in my mind, thanks to years of weekend cartoons! I played these games all through high school. Arkham Knight didnt come out until i was a couple years into college and out of all the trailers or previews, the most memorable was the Arkham City trailer with that song called Short Change Hero by The Heavy.
Years later and these Cinematic Trailers still hold up especially Arkham Origins which that Batman and Deathstroke Fight was the real Highlight,It's such a Shame that we'll never get a Live Action version of that Fight.

Also, there is a bit of timeline moment with Arkham-Verse with being Origins, Blackgate, Arkham Asylum, Arkham Underground, City, Arkham VR, Knight DLC: Harley Quinn, Knight, Knight: The Season of Infamy, Knight: Redhood, Knight: Flip of the Coin, Knight: DLC Lockup, and lastly Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League. So the universe is bit and hoping more to come in the future ^^

The gamplay trailer to Rocksteady's new game Kill the Justice League came out during the Game Awards like 6 days ago. Every Arkham game adds something new to the formula. Asylum had the perfect combat/stealth/puzzle-solving gameplay loop that other "Arkham-likes" have been emulating since it's release, Arkham City did it all but in an open-world, Arkham Knight added the Batmobile (somewhat controversially at the time) and now Kill the Justice League is adding 3rd person shooting mechanics across four characters that seem to play totally distinct. In Arkham City/Knight you can play as Robin,the Joker, Nightwing, Batgirl, Azreal etc etc but in reality they are just Batman clones with different mechanics (same animations and rigs it just feels samey), only Catwoman was totally distinct and she had her own clone in Harley Quinn. But now in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Captain Boomerang, Harley, Deadshot and King Shark all move completely distinctly from each other and have different weapons. The way they are all moving around the city in the trailer is so fluid and each character seems to play 100% unique with Harley using stolen tech from Batman, Captain B having his teleportation, Deadshot's jetpack and Shark's Hulk like mega jumping. Oh yeah, i love these games. I played almost all of them, except Batman Arkham Knight, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition and Batman Arkham VR game. But others main games i beat fully and i love them. They are perfect almost in every way. I still have physical copy of Arkham Asylum and man did i enjoyed playing Arkham City! Arkham Origins is cool too, despite the fact that many fans hate it. I played so much Arkham Asylum and City that i can for sure call myself BATMAN! Seriously, i still remember how to play these games. By the way, Arkham Origins has the best boss fights. Even Arkham Knight doesn't have that level of boss fights.

OMG, I have been a Batman fan since The Animated Series. If y'all ever watch some nerdy shows, please include B:TAS. Anyways, this series of games were the Best version of immersive experience. I have purchased the same title for Xbox, PC, and the 4k edition re-purchase. Arkham and City are the Best in the series, and worth exploring. As an added bonus, the various characters have different fighting techniques, giving the game multiple opportunities to enjoy the game! Definitely worth a play through!
Arkham Knight also has what they call Arkham Episodes which take place after Arkham Knight where you get to play as Harley Quinn Nightwing red hood Robin Catwoman and Batgirl the Batgirl episode takes place before Arkham Knight

I remember getting Arkham Asylum from Target. It was the PS3 version with 3D glasses. I was very young. Maybe 6-7 years old. Those games made me a Batman fan! Always will be my favorite superhero. The series is fantastic!!!

Wow, the Arkham Knight one didn't say anything about that game other than you get to drive around in the batmobile. As for VR, you'll probably get sick the first few times you play in VR. Like "I want to die" sick, but if you push through that phase, you'll be able to play for hours at a time without any ill effects. Imagining that I was on a vehicle helped me get through that initial phase.
If you do not have time to play the arkham-series, I'd recommend listening to the audiologs. There are collectibles through the games for every bad guy, where you can get more information and depth to the villains.
The Arkham series is quite possibly the best Batman thing ever, one of anyways, absolutely love these games. Bats is my favorite comic book superhero/ costumed vigilante type character, and these games did him, his Rouge's gallery, and his city absolute justice. Cheers!
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Having, of course, grown up on the Tim Burton Batman movies, they will always be near and dear to my heart, elements of campiness included, and Michael Keaton is, arguably, still the best and most nuanced live action Batman. I like Christian Bale as an actor, but his take on the character was, honestly, a bit dull. The Nolan Batman movies themselves are excellent and did a wonderful job with certain characters, but were a letdown in other aspects (I hated their Two-Face, the ending of Dark Knight Rises was a disappointment, and overall I felt their was way too much Bruce Wayne feeling sorry for himself, not enough Batman, though I get and appreciate what they were trying to do.) Overall, I do like the Nolan films better, but only slightly.

Arkham series is epic, and Joker is the best Joker there is, Mark Hamill, and Kevin Conroy as Batman, it's perfection. You should check gameplay trailers as well. And hopefully you'll give all of them a go 😉. It's some of the best batman content there is.
Arkham Origins takes place with Batman into his second year of crime fighting. He should be at least 26 or 27 at the time. Graduated from high school at 14 and began to go to college in Europe before finding various martial arts masters to study under. Arkham Origins Blackgate takes place 3 months after Origins. Arkham Asylum takes place 7 years after Origins. After the one night in the Asylum changed everything, including the Asylum being half way destroyed, the images were put in Blackgate Penitentiary. Arkham City took place one year later with the slum sections of Gotham converted into a open air prison. Arkham VR takes place between Arkham City and Arkham Knight. Arkham Knight takes place 18 months after Arkham City. This is where it ends. The Arkham Knight is a new character from Batman's past. He's been watching the events since the Asylum. It's ironic that the Arkham Origins trailers are so decent, considering it was a different studio (but related storyline/prequel) and the worst of the three games (not bad just not as fun as the other three). Asylum and City are AMAZING, and though the feel of Asylum is a bit unique of the four games, I think City is the best. You can also play as Catwoman (and Robin in a DLC). Definitely one of the better video game series' out there.

WB Games Montréal took over development duties from series creator Rocksteady Studios, which was preoccupied with Batman: Arkham Knight and thus would not have been able to release a new game for considerable time."
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames yup! In Arkham City, she has a side story that wraps through the narrative, and makes more sense if you do it. I think it was part of the big preorder package that then was a DLC after launch? But after a point, you can switch back and forth between the two characters at specific spots where cats are lurking, and each have their own XP to spend and baddies to fight (as each chapter has only so many minions, so getting them all is the best way to get the most stuff etc etc, but playing Catwoman and Batman at the same time basically doubles you up) She handles different too, its not just a skin. Faster and such, and instead of using a grappling hook she basically leaps up buildings with claws. Really fun!

Hadn’t seen much of Deathstroke before but this scene made us love him because he looked soooo badass fighting Batman 🤩

I've got all 4 Arkham games ready to play and Origins is definitely the one I'm looking forward to. From what I know it's set in Batmans earlier days with a more brute force style justice and there are 8 assassins trying to kill him in one night
It received some hate early on due to the voice talent involved (or, not involved), and some game breaking bugs. But I recently played through the whole series, and I still think that's my favorite of the games.
You got same gameplay backlog as us KL! Let us know when you plan to start playing them. We will maybe play them as a build up to new Batman movie 🤔🤗😀
I still remember when the first Arkham game released, it being the first ACTUALLY GOOD Batman game we had in over a decade (possibly longer if I look it up). It was a major deal and change a lot of how 3d Action games were focused on at the time.

The only solid take I've heard is either Rocksteady was against it because they felt WB Montreal were stepping on their turf, or publisher itself thought Origins was a spin-off and remaster needs to be "main series only"... which are two sides of same coin if you ask me. I played these games all through high school. Arkham Knight didnt come out until i was a couple years into college and out of all the trailers or previews, the most memorable was the Arkham City trailer with that song called Short Change Hero by The Heavy.
Years later and these Cinematic Trailers still hold up especially Arkham Origins which that Batman and Deathstroke Fight was the real Highlight,It's such a Shame that we'll never get a Live Action version of that Fight.

It seems interesting on how Arkham-verse is being unique to full-on being Batman is amazing ^^ Thank goodness I met Kevin Conroy during my 20 or 21 year of age during a Con event at my home state capital.
Also, there is a bit of timeline moment with Arkham-Verse with being Origins, Blackgate, Arkham Asylum, Arkham Underground, City, Arkham VR, Knight DLC: Harley Quinn, Knight, Knight: The Season of Infamy, Knight: Redhood, Knight: Flip of the Coin, Knight: DLC Lockup, and lastly Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League. So the universe is bit and hoping more to come in the future ^^

The gamplay trailer to Rocksteady's new game Kill the Justice League came out during the Game Awards like 6 days ago. Every Arkham game adds something new to the formula. Asylum had the perfect combat/stealth/puzzle-solving gameplay loop that other "Arkham-likes" have been emulating since it's release, Arkham City did it all but in an open-world, Arkham Knight added the Batmobile (somewhat controversially at the time) and now Kill the Justice League is adding 3rd person shooting mechanics across four characters that seem to play totally distinct. In Arkham City/Knight you can play as Robin,the Joker, Nightwing, Batgirl, Azreal etc etc but in reality they are just Batman clones with different mechanics (same animations and rigs it just feels samey), only Catwoman was totally distinct and she had her own clone in Harley Quinn.
But now in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, Captain Boomerang, Harley, Deadshot and King Shark all move completely distinctly from each other and have different weapons. The way they are all moving around the city in the trailer is so fluid and each character seems to play 100% unique with Harley using stolen tech from Batman, Captain B having his teleportation, Deadshot's jetpack and Shark's Hulk like mega jumping. Makes the seven year wait seem like it's going to pay off.

Oh yeah, i love these games. I played almost all of them, except Batman Arkham Knight, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition and Batman Arkham VR game. But others main games i beat fully and i love them. They are perfect almost in every way. I still have physical copy of Arkham Asylum and man did i enjoyed playing Arkham City! Arkham Origins is cool too, despite the fact that many fans hate it. I played so much Arkham Asylum and City that i can for sure call myself BATMAN! Seriously, i still remember how to play these games.
By the way, Arkham Origins has the best boss fights. Even Arkham Knight doesn't have that level of boss fights.
id recommend Arkham Knight i loved it, and i never did understand the hate for origins, it had some of the best bosses in the series

Anyways, this series of games were the Best version of immersive experience. I have purchased the same title for Xbox, PC, and the 4k edition re-purchase.
Arkham and City are the Best in the series, and worth exploring. As an added bonus, the various characters have different fighting techniques, giving the game multiple opportunities to enjoy the game!

I remember getting Arkham Asylum from Target. It was the PS3 version with 3D glasses. I was very young. Maybe 6-7 years old. Those games made me a Batman fan! Always will be my favorite superhero. The series is fantastic!!!

Wow, the Arkham Knight one didn't say anything about that game other than you get to drive around in the batmobile.
As for VR, you'll probably get sick the first few times you play in VR. Like "I want to die" sick, but if you push through that phase, you'll be able to play for hours at a time without any ill effects. Imagining that I was on a vehicle helped me get through that initial phase.

If you do not have time to play the arkham-series, I'd recommend listening to the audiologs. There are collectibles through the games for every bad guy, where you can get more information and depth to the villains.

The Arkham series is quite possibly the best Batman thing ever, one of anyways, absolutely love these games. Bats is my favorite comic book superhero/ costumed vigilante type character, and these games did him, his Rouge's gallery, and his city absolute justice. Cheers!

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Having, of course, grown up on the Tim Burton Batman movies, they will always be near and dear to my heart, elements of campiness included, and Michael Keaton is, arguably, still the best and most nuanced live action Batman. I like Christian Bale as an actor, but his take on the character was, honestly, a bit dull. The Nolan Batman movies themselves are excellent and did a wonderful job with certain characters, but were a letdown in other aspects (I hated their Two-Face, the ending of Dark Knight Rises was a disappointment, and overall I felt their was way too much Bruce Wayne feeling sorry for himself, not enough Batman, though I get and appreciate what they were trying to do.) Overall, I do like the Nolan films better, but only slightly.
Arkham VR is fine, Its not Canon to Asylum, City, Origins and Knight, But it does make you feel like your Batman

Arkham series is epic, and Joker is the best Joker there is, Mark Hamill, and Kevin Conroy as Batman, it's perfection. You should check gameplay trailers as well. And hopefully you'll give all of them a go 😉. It's some of the best batman content there is.

One of my favorite game series
Arkham Origins takes place with Batman into his second year of crime fighting. He should be at least 26 or 27 at the time. Graduated from high school at 14 and began to go to college in Europe before finding various martial arts masters to study under.
Arkham Origins Blackgate takes place 3 months after Origins.
Arkham Asylum takes place 7 years after Origins. After the one night in the Asylum changed everything, including the Asylum being half way destroyed, the images were put in Blackgate Penitentiary.
Arkham City took place one year later with the slum sections of Gotham converted into a open air prison.
Arkham VR takes place between Arkham City and Arkham Knight.
Arkham Knight takes place 18 months after Arkham City. This is where it ends. The Arkham Knight is a new character from Batman's past. He's been watching the events since the Asylum.
I've put a Catwoman trailer from Arkham City. She's a playable character.

It's ironic that the Arkham Origins trailers are so decent, considering it was a different studio (but related storyline/prequel) and the worst of the three games (not bad just not as fun as the other three).
Asylum and City are AMAZING, and though the feel of Asylum is a bit unique of the four games, I think City is the best. You can also play as Catwoman (and Robin in a DLC).
Definitely one of the better video game series' out there.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames yup! In Arkham City, she has a side story that wraps through the narrative, and makes more sense if you do it. I think it was part of the big preorder package that then was a DLC after launch?
But after a point, you can switch back and forth between the two characters at specific spots where cats are lurking, and each have their own XP to spend and baddies to fight (as each chapter has only so many minions, so getting them all is the best way to get the most stuff etc etc, but playing Catwoman and Batman at the same time basically doubles you up)
She handles different too, its not just a skin. Faster and such, and instead of using a grappling hook she basically leaps up buildings with claws. Really fun!
