Mine is bigger than my hand. Poor dear is stuck in a 20 gl tank right now. I’m gonna get him a 500 gl watering trough for outside during the summer and a 50 gl for inside during winter unless I can figure out how to heat the trough in the winter. He’s a spicy guy. Doesn’t like to be bothered with tank cleaning. I love to hand feed him though. He’s really gentle. I bought him on a whim a year ago. Didn’t know a single thing about. Still learning. Not much info out there for these turtles and keeping them as pets.
I have one Florida Softshell turtle i really like him he has a super big 60 gallon tank with two other turtles he is now 6,5 cm and the other turtles around that lenght he swims always in front of the glass ive had him for one month now
@@dany_cast two pink bellied sideneck turtles. I think An red slider wil work fine if they are same lengt. Couple of inches Fine sand is An must for the softshell.
nathan odom Its just temporary. They spent the warmer months in an outdoor tub. They will eventually work there way up to one of our laguna tubs. They are growing fast ;).
Can I ask you how fast do they grow? We have a female baby softshell,looks just like yours. We've had her for 4-6 years now and she's the size of my hand. Is she supposed to be that small at that age? Do you know? She seems very healthy but I think she may be stunted. She's growing slowly
Hi I'm hoping you can help me I got a couple soft shell turtles. One won't eat and is still small. He almost lifeless 😔 what could be the reasons? I have a good set up and food but he won't eat..please help thank you
Nate Fox Hi Nate it could be a number of things so its really hard to say. If the set up is good and the others are doing fine he may be sick and need to see a vet.

what other turtles is he with? Im just asking bc i just rescued a red eared slider and idk if i should put them together.

You need a 75 gallon they can live in it for most of there life
