I find it very interesting when viewers must feel the need to write a negative comment, especially tasteless and nasty language to get their point across, but it seems like lots of people that surfs UA-cam Channels are so miserable with their lives. But you're a whole lot better than the meat farms that waste a lot of meat and abuse animals their entire lives. Those turtles lived happily, got caught, and were eaten, as it is in the circle of life. Good on you for hunting your own food and not wasting a single bit.

In fact, is it not more of an injustice to take the life away from an animal who was very much enjoying it? If you actually watched the video you would've heard him say that these specific turtles are not on any endangered list.
Okay, for one, you missed my point about factory farms being a bad thing. Two, hunting for food is natural, that's why it's been utilized over generations of species. Three, If that gator had gotten to the turtle first, he would have ripped it to shreds while it was alive, and I doubt you would shame him for it. This man ended the turtle's life as painlessly as he could. Four, not everyone can physically go without meat, so I congratulate those who get it in the most natural, humane way as possible. I also congratulate those who are able to go without it, though I worry if they are getting all of the right nutrients, as it can be hard to do for some people.

You feel guilty to this day about eating a turtle, which is, basically, a variety of reptile species, but we are all used to eating cows, sheep, horses, sometimes dogs & cats and other highly developed mammal life forms, that have distinctive personalities and primitive forms of sophisticated feelings. To everyone posting negative comments about how he could kill a turtle. These turtles were fully grown,humanely killed and lived a natural life in their natural environment. The cows,pigs or chickens you eat everyday were raised in tiny little cages and given only food that would make them grow faster and fatten up until their slow death. These turtles had a normal life and were killed quickly.

This is very common in the south. It's not "sad" or "cruel" they're killed instantly and feel nothing. It's no different than fish really. I personally don't care for turtle I'd rather eat gator. Those who think this is sad you apparently have never been to a beef or poultry farm/killing house. Alot of those places are extremely cruel to the animals there.

ah fair enough not like those animals are grown on a farm specifically for that task and dont know anything else.
I am totally fine with people eating animals they catch/hunt/fish or whatever; and I agree that 99.9% of anyone who catches animals to eat kills them humanely and quickly. But animals do feel pain. All animals have a sense of touch and pain that is directly analogous to our own nervous system -- including fish. It is just a little lie we tell ourselves to feel better about killing an animal. This is WHY it is important to kill your prey quickly and humanely.
The ability to react to outside stimuli is usually a quality that we use to determine if something is alive, and in that manner it could be said that even plants can feel a more limited form of 'pain'. It is important to remember that without consuming other living organisms we do not survive -- it is our nature.
