I GOT A BABY ONE UP IN COLDWATER MICHIGAN ( 5 lakes chained together, found at Krill's Kozy Korner bait n tackle shop area) ONCE WHEN i WAS A BOY SOME 56 YEARS AGO. BIG AS A SILVER DOLLAR. TOOK HIM HOME, HAD HIM 2 YEARS THEN HE GOT OUT OF THE TERRARIUM/AQUARIUM AND LANDED UPSIDE DOWN ON THE HARD FLOOR. DEAD N GONE. STILL MISS THAT THING.
Great video Greg ,I love your content .I have a little question : How do I know the amount of food that my turtle need .I have two adults and two babies ,all of them are Cuban Sliders .
I found a huge turtle stuck on a concrete bridge at about 9:30 AM. in Rogers, AR. This turtle was about 12-14" in length. He had a very leathery shell, massive feet and claws and a long snout. I carried him over to where he could go down a steep grassy hill and man did he take off fast. From what I can tell it was a Midland Smooth Softshell. A guy told me they can really bite and I read the same thing. Do you have any experience with this kind of turtle?
Love your videos, Also could you do a video on how to find softshells? It feels like I’ve managed to find every turtle in Georgia except, for the softshells.
@@GregsTurtleHaven nah I meant you can show us your pet one /captive one I can understand man no offense just wanted to see new a great stuff you do in the present time 😁 maybe I am being greedy

Hopefully spring comes sooner than later!

Same but in Illinois
Softshells are some of the coolest turtles!
The turtle at the beginning had two heads 😂lol
Your BEST VIDEO yet!! 👏 some of that underwater footage was amazing! Great job highlighting the best turtles 🙌
Thanks Gabe!
Great video! Where are you guys looking for softshell turtles at?
Clear shallow streams with abundant sand bars
Such beautiful cool turtles
just ran into a few today at a park in Bay City texas. I never saw them before. Pretty cool critters
So if a soft shell turtle encountered a gator they wouldn’t use their shell. Would they use speed and camouflage? Or use their claws and beak?
Nile Softshells have been filmed using their shell to deflect a Nile Crocodiles bites in order to bury her eggs by the crocodiles nest.
Watching this inspires me so much to get out this spring and explore new places to find these awesome turtles, great video man!
Glad I can help inspire!

Excuse me, do you know how large can a smooth softshell be?
Why so many recap videos when new content is arriving of this year still great work looking forward for new one
Recap videos because it is too cold to find and film wild turtles right now. I would rather give specific content than no content.
