Hey so im having fuel leaking issues on my f3. I took the carbs halfway apart and cleaned the jets and replaced to float needles. Put back on and fuel was still coming out of the bottom of one of my float bowls. I think the float needle seat gasket is dry rotted. How did you remove the float needle seat??? And where do you get gaskets for it? A link would be helpful. Thanks man great video otherwise. Im still new to carbs just trying to learn.
The float needle seats are usually pressed in or held in by o-rings and are made of brass. It doesn't take very much debris to keep that float needle from seating. Also if the float is set too high it'll start leaking from the vent or blowing out the main jet vent. It'll want to rev up for no reason also. Clear signs of a high float level.
I’ve done the same and still having the same problem. How do you adjust the float if it’s set too high? It’s always the number 1 carb where the tilt of the bike leans when parked and only starts to leak soon as you open the petcock when the bike and is turned on and the fuel pump kicks in.
Could you use a battery powered impact driver to remove those screws ?
I would say yes if you're confident on that tools capabilities. When in doubt use the old school method that has worked 100% of the time. Thanks.

There 2 type cbr600f4 (carbs) "X"+"Y" you know if it is the "X" are the "ultima light"? Thanks from Greece
To be honest I'm not sure. I only have the number above the float bowl clutch lever side. V252AA21. Does the ultima have magnesium covers?
